First, thanks for all the help guys. I couldn't run these tournaments without you. This was a pretty good tournament, right? Thanks to Philly for coming down to our little arcade and chillin with us. You're always welcome to come back.

Hey sparatik thanks for posting the results but I thoguht you where going to post the tekken results in zaibatsu I dont think anyone here really cares about that game. Come to think about it I dont think anyone will care about it in zaibatsu either. Well thanks for posting them anyways.

Well the tourney was really good. I realized I'm very rusty, and should start practicin' once in a while more often. Ronin wing won her first match in 3s strike. She lost to me at her second match, and then i guess she lost her match at the loosers bracket.

Sparatik, please you do next time the 3s bracket. I saw some funny sh!t there last few tournaments. Or put somebody else you would trust to do that instead of Eric Lee. Please do not get mad about this Eric, but I noticed the same thing in two tournaments at least. I think that is why Darick, Kikin, and Estuardo do not play 3s anymore. I do not know why all the other 3s players dont say anything. Even Exodus noticed intentional bad management on the bracket. For next tournament I will take a look at the bracket first, if I see anything weird I will show it to Sparatik to take some actions about it. I want a fare, clean tournament.

Gabriel, I moved Candace to make her fight you cause she would have fought me next. I play Candace all the time and that wouldn't be good. Thats the only move that I did. Other than that I stopped running them after that cause everything was pretty much self explanatory. Although I don't know how that Robin stuff happened. Errr actually I do know, someone obviously forgot to put Robin in the losers after he lost his match and forgot about it. By the time we found out it was to late. It was hard making this bracket cause it was like 19 players from MD and like 5 people from VA. Most of us play each other so it was kinda hard finding the proper place for everyone. I also do all the brackets by rankings for the previous tournament. Like whoever got first goes to the top and whoever got second goes to the bottom and I just fill up everything from there.

Oh well great tournament hopefully next time I will make it better for you guys, sorry.

Either me or Darick would win the screwed up brackets that Eric Lee would set up in his favor, so we decided to let him win his set up brackets for once (everyone notices it) and to boycott any 3rd strike tournies he runs, Sparatik-pay attention. I hope Eric is happy he finally won with all that contention he brings to every 3s tourney. You may have finally won but w/o me or Darick in it- it dont mean shit, and you know it.

This coming from a guy who would place himself up against people who he thought was scrubby so he could do good in a tournament. This thread was all good until you came in and fucked it up. You are one shiesty ass dude. I've seen you set people up when you used to run 3S and you know it's true. Man I swear you are the second coming of PSI!

Kikin is good and Eric Lee is good. As far as rigging of brackets is concerned i don't know. It's none of my business, but what i do know is bracket rigging has always occured in other games at least. I've had to fight Ric, Arturo, Will, and Estuardo before, but i don't complain, I jus play yo. Kikin, u should be yelling at chocobo for insulting u, not eric. Eric has never shown me any form of shadiness and the real bracket rigger is among us, who? I can't say. Everybody knows who it is though.

Well Sparatik does not have any fault in the brackets of 3s. Eric Lee is the one that usually makes the brackets. Now I will explain the problem there is in 3s lately.

You know how the brackets divide in 2 halfs for the tournament. A player from the upper half will never play a player from the lower half. Now the thing is Eric Lee puts himself on the first half all the time. Then like he says refills the upper half bracket with scrubby players. Then in the lower half puts me (I'm a decent player, not the best), Darick, Kikin, BLT, and any other threating player that he might loose too. I remember a tournament were BLT, Darick, Kikin, Estuardo, and Eric V had to eleminate each other, and they are suppouse to play each other very often so they should be as far as possible in the brackets. When Eric Lee was in the upper half just fighting scrubby players.

So in this way Eric Lee will get always top four. What i would recommend is doing the brackets randomly. Forget if you gotta fight somebody you fight all the time. Bad luck, sh!t happens. I know that would be a little unfair, but it would resolve this problem.

I do not want to be siding Eric Lee, or Kikin and company. But like I said before I want a fare, clean tournament.

Take that ticket to court if possible.. especially if it's your first traffic ticket. Reduced fine and points are always good.

You are right Adam, it doesn't mean anything. I thought about that after I won the tournament. It's just that you won't play me one on one. You won't play me for money. The only thing that I saw you do is run away from two tournaments instead of facing me. All that I ask for you to do is play. In tournament play you are not that great at 3S as you claim to be. You just have all these ties to great things that can make you a better player. Helps you learn quicker and helps Darick to learn quicker. Although I still don't know why when I asked for all these things you nor Darick won't show me a single thing. I asked for the bible but no one would let me even see what it looked like so I can find it on my own. It's okay cause I don't need you guys to teach me anymore. I also don't set these brackets up at all. You think I do, but I don't. It really doesn't matter what you say or how you think, but I just would like to say one thing. You used to be an honorable person and you used to be respected, but what happened. As I can recall Darick is broke and that should be more of the reason why he didn't enter any tourneys as opposed to me setting up the bracket. Also one of you all didn't lend him money like you usually do, but I see that you did go and pick him up but you didn't let him play any games. He must've been mad as hell wasting time with you. Darick, Tekniqality whatever you want to be called. You are right the person that said that stuff about me isn't you nor EE. I do apologize on that. I was just mad at the fact that one of you would dare say anything when you know that I would say something directly to you without no hesitation. I can't put my hands on you all cause it's just a game first and foremost, plus you guys are just kids to me since you are youngins. I don't want to flame anybody, I just want everything to go smooth like it was. Last tournament no one got angry, no one was arguing, except for RAY, LOL.

This was the best tournament for me, but I guess now that I know how everyone feels about me then I won't play ever again at GT. I am just sick and tired of you all (you all being people that don't like me for whatever reason) not giving me props where props is due. I don't think that I am THE BEST player, but I definitely know that I am not the worst. People keep farting during my matches which is just the cheapest shot in the world, but funny. I changed my ways last tournament and congratulated folks after EVERY match just like I said that I would. Another thing that I don't understand is like when I post about something that I did wrong or when someone else posted something about me that I didn't like, Kikin was always quick to say something. Kikin you are quick to point out my mistakes, but you never admit that you are wrong as well.

So in this way Eric Lee will get always top four. What i would recommend is doing the brackets randomly. Forget if you gotta fight somebody you fight all the time. Bad luck, sh!t happens. I know that would be a little unfair, but it would resolve this problem.

I do not want to be siding Eric Lee, or Kikin and company. But like I said before I want a fare, clean tournament.

So you believe that I set the tourneys too? Alright well I think that you should make the brackets. So it will be better for the next person. I also think that you should set it up as a round robin to see who gets the most wins. That way you can't cheat, but I am not going to be there.

Overall skill level and streetfighter abiliity, Eric Lee is better than Kikin. There is no argument and Darick is better than Eric there is no argument. Darick is not at anybody's league in 3rd strike on a serious note. He went toe to toe with Justin Wong and he adapts to anygame so I will always give him respect. he can roll cancel with the tampax!! Eric did good in st, which is streetfighter RAW. If 'the bullies" didn't show, he woulda won st. Kikin is also very good, but he doesn't shit on eric in any games. I think everybody would agree that Eric Lee does have the streetfighter skills, st, alpha 3, 3rd strike, even tekken 4! he only ran 3rd strike, so whatever. As far as kikin sayin "It doesn't mean shit cuz I wasn't there" That's jus :lame: cuz all of Gt has handed u your ass one time or another. Ask marc pointer about that. I'm upset because I respected kikin, but I can't side with somebody who talks shit to one of the most modest gamers i know (eric). I remember eric in old alpha 3 tournaments when the cabinet was where cvs2 is now. He's helped me a lot and been a real good person so it's sad that he won't play anymore cuz of GT flamewars! People are MAD shady here yo.

First of all, I never said Eric Lee was a scrubby player. I varely beat him in 3s. Kikin is only good for parrying. Darick is good for parrying, and adapting to people.

Eric Lee, if they do not want to teach you just forget them. Nobody taught me to play my Yun, I varely practice, and I stil made my own little tricks, like the split hands, and some other unblockable glitch I know about. Keep on playing man, you are a great opponent.

I just did not like the way the brackets were made in these past tournaments. Try to make the brackets more evenly, and you know what I perfectly mean. May be next time before we start tournaments I should check the brackets:lol:

O_O it'll be more interesting that way...i remember my first time at GT, i got paired vs darrick, and then proceeded against arturo. although it was prolly some mighty bad luck [although i did beat darrick, MUHA! go air fireball!], it was fun, because i got to play very challenging people. besides, that was my first 3S experience outside of the ghetto wheaton 3S, where the only "worthy" opp was the computerized gill.

argentino: well..i don't like to accuse people of cheating so i won't say anyone rigged anything. it is a fact though that in a 3s tournament not long ago (the one that went in the back of the last tips&tricks) darick,estuardo,kikin,myself and eric v all wound up starting in the bottom half of the bracket, with eric lee seeded #1, in the top half. i asked about it and was told that darick eric and estuardo got there late so there was no choice but to fill them in at the bottom of the bracket .. which really makes no sense but whatever. maybe it was just an honest mistake but regardless that's how the bracket ended up looking. as far as i know, the fact that there are so few va players should make it easy to separate us from one another.

I think someone mentioned it earlier... but Round Robin 3rd strike might be a good idea. Would anyone be interested in this? I could host a smaller GT weekend tournament which would include this if you guys were all willing to show.

PROS:
*Clearer picture of who's the best in 3rd strike in this area
*Easier to rank/region seed for the following 3rd strike tourney

CONS:
*Cost is higher since you must pay to play every single person

THE only fun thing in this tournament was to watch Nokato play, everything else was extremely boring and not worth watching. St was good to watch when Mike and Chris played. Dee Jay was interesting:eek: Josh wong just copied brandon from philly with ironman. But watchin him in marvel was good but he plays gay as shit in snk. Nokato owns everybody with style points.

I want to explain my side:

First this is how I did the brackets. I tried to pair VA/MD up together as much as possible. It was hard cause there were so many MD players. It just so happens that all the Va players went to the losers bracket except for one person and that was Victor. MD players all play each other alot so of course we all don't want to play each other as much as possible. I played Khang and he got 4th, I played Victor and he got 2nd. I honestly thought that BLT was going to be waiting for me at the end. I also put Trent at the top near me cause I wanted revenge. Yes he beat me the tournament before last so what does this mean. All he had to do was win his first match and then we would have played, but I was also thinking that Khang likes competition cause if he didn't then he wouldn't come. Another thing is that I honestly was thinking of good matchups too. I knew that Khang played Akuma and Trent did too so. Other Va peeps. I play Arvelle all the time so I put him at the bottom and again for his match up I put him against a MD player who plays Urien so I put Yonas against him. I still don't see what I did wrong. Please tell me?

eric: instead of trying to putting different areas together, think in terms of separating players from the same area. in other words, the top and bottom half of a bracket should contain equal numbers of players from any given region. If possible, do the same for the halves of each half. This spaces local comp pools out as much as possible.

Well this has got to be the funniest post that i have ever seen. For about 3 years i've been playing at GT and as far as i can remember with the exception of Koop no one else is really into the clubb scene. About me complaining about the brackets, I do it because that is why we have the forums. Tournament videos at gametime are rarely posted. So if you do see one, consider yourself lucky. I have the pictures, but I am unable to post them because of computer issues. MagMan: No way a GT tourney had 127+. Biggest tourneys we had were like 40-50 for CvS1/CvS2. You must be thinking of Mid Atlantic Championships in 2005. That's the one with 70+ tekken players and a good CvS2 turnout.
