I know, if you shrink it down to a ds sized screen, the graphics will be almost as good as ff crytal chronicles.
Go go square enix!
(Just expect them to say itll be coming mid-2006, then delaying it to the end of 2007.)

This is so funny cuz everybody was complaining about DS had poor graphics but I kept saying, "The DS is going to be pushed for better graphics soon guys." Finally this is some proof.

I've never done it, but i've heard that it takes awhile to send to Nintendo and get it back. Try walmart first, or just deal with it; I've heard that bright colored dead pixels usually aren't visible while playing.

io

i read somewhere that you can call them and they'll send you a replacement. you just mail the defective one back upon receipt. then again, walmart might be easier. they take ANYTHING back

return it to walmart for an even exchange they will give you 0 crap. dont send it to nintendo it'll be a long wait and its money out of your pocket.

For castlevania games, you really don't have to have played any of them to start. There is no real story line so you're not missing anything. I started with Circle of the Moon (excellent castlevania BTW) and went back played the ones on SNES. They're all good.

I was like WTF when i first saw FF3 pics, and was thinking it's not gonna be the same. But i forgot that FF3 is gonna be the japanese FF3, in 3d. FF6 is gonna be the same so i won't really care, cause that one is a classic.

I am suprised FF3 is looking so good, it actually reminded me of the first demo screens of the N64 with I think the cast of FF6.

Well recently Phoenix Wright came out it is a sort of lawyer text adventure game. Also try Wario Touched, Kirby Cursed Canvas and Lost in Blue, another PC like adventure. Or if you don't already have some buy a few GBA games to tide you over till the great stuff hits the scene, like Mario Kart, New Mario Bros. and FF3.

As for fighting games, I think you might have to import to play those on the DS right now. Jump Superstars is supposed to be good, a Guilty Gear game is in works and I think there was a Bleach fighting game also in works.

i'd really stay away from fighters for any handheld. it's just really frustrating to handle. the only reason i can put up with super turbo(gba) version, is cuz it has easy mode for people like guile.

you dont wanna pull off supers or hell even special moves on a handheld. shit wont come out and you're gonna end up throwing your ds to the wall. i have minimal trouble cuz i have small hands but playing as guile on DS = :(

I've said it once and I'll say it again...DUAL BLADES!!!:encore: Dual Blades uses DF, DB, and BF (no charging!) motions because the creators of the awesome fighting game recognized how rediculous it is to do QCF/HCB/360/720s etc... on a handheld.

Man if only I had someone to play against.

mario 3 is a huge game it will not work because of the ram limit on the movie player it's one of the biggest games :( yea it sucks....

as for movies try upgrading the software to moonshell version something or another. it ups the frames by about 2-3 frames which is a pretty drastic change and i music supposedly better sounding (i have not upgraded yet)

wow man anticipated, there's alot lol. alot.

i think the ones i really want are mario kart(just cuz it's online), tony hawk(yes online),
animal crossing, that princess peach game or whatever fuck it is just cuz i'm a platform head, and mario rpg.

those are the ones i'm ubber excited about. some of the games i'm semi excited are sonic, ff remakes, metroid pinball. i'm sure these games are gonna be hella awesome but i just dont see any super new innovative things for these 3 other than dual screen.

they need to release donkey kong country 4 on ds. i'd be all over that and i'd seriously buy multiple copies to give out for christmas lololol.

Basically you live in a small village and just do random stuff. You can customize your look, meet other people, do random tasks, etc. Check out the reviews on GameSpot or IGN for more info.

Mcdonalds To Provide 6,000 Wireless DS Spots

Nintendo has signed an agreement with Wayport, a leading provider of wired and Wi-Fi high-speed Internet access in public locations, to extend Wi-Fi service to Nintendo DSTM users at nearly 6,000 McDonald's restaurants across the United States. Through the agreement with Wayport, Nintendo will offer complimentary access to Nintendo® Wi-Fi Connection, the video game giant's new wireless gaming service that goes online Nov. 14.

seems like nintendo isn't fucking around.

indeed, they are not messing around.

I actually read stuff on mario kart DS, (had never read before, but would still buy it) and it is sick.

For the people that don't know yet, game features tracks from snes,n64,gba, and gamecube versions of mario karts.

there's a crapload of tracks. more so than any mario kart game.

ChairHome

Also worth noting:
Children of Mana is not developed in house, Square Enix has outsourced the game to Next Entertainment, who developed a report on previous Mana games and were selected based on their comments and findings of previous games. Square Enix is apparently outsourcing other titles for their "World of Mana" project. There is also a link to an mp3 from the game at this link:
http://www.gamesarefun.com/news.php?newsid=5709

In other news, Electroplankton will only be sold online (at major online retailers) and World of Nintendo store in NYC in January 06. In a related story, I've had the game since it came out in Japan and need to play it again. Har har.

imagine racing 7 other ppl online then... BAMM lag up the yin-yang. imo the 4 players a race/game is to cut down on lag and even lower the probability of a game to get into a lag lock. if anyone has played gunbound, 8 players in a game sure can increase the risk of lagging the room to a stop...

I guess that's cool that DMC is coming to the DS, but without the original team working on it I'm kinda skeptical(DMC3 grew on me eventually but I thought it still could've been taken even further). On the other hand the VJ for DS is the type of "ports" the DS was built for.

That's fucking cool about the WORLDWIDE online play of motherfuckin' Mario Kart and on a fucking hand held no less. I have a router but don't have it set up, BUT as long as I pick up the wifi thingie from Nin. I should be good, no? That's what I read in one of the forums at 1up in the DS section. Here's wher I read that it's all good as long as you have the Wifi thingin from Nin. (http://boards.1up.com/zd/board/message?board.id=nintendo_ds&message.id=26745)

Isn't Dual Screen internet possible... Its called windows. Just kidding.

In other DS news, If you go to gamestop this weekend (28-30) with your Nintendogs in Bark Mode, you get a free gift (Star-sunglasses) and a voice message from Haylie Duff! Hahahaha. I think I might, just to do it. I think I'm going to trade in my Nintendogs though, I just don't have time anymore.

BTW food for thought, doesn't anyone feel they should make a DS or at least the next gen handheld have solar-cell capabilities or at least a solar-powered add-on of some kind?

This is coming from a man who has just ridden through Hurricane Wilma and was out of power for 3 days.

Guys I got my SD card and my Supercard+Superpass, but they ain't working:

When I put the superpass in and stick Castlevania into it, and then stick the super card into the system, after I get the warning message whenever the DS boots up and I press the button to skip it, the screen just goes white.

If I put the Supercard in the DS by itself, it either doesn't recognize the card is in the slot, or if it does the screen boots "Gameboy" like a GBA does? And then it says "write protect lock, please turn off GBA".

The big number below the barcode is the serial number, right? It says "NU40016176" and then 9 is in a box.

Biohazard (Resident Evil): LOL i saw the pictures of that one knife between the fingers. I was never good at that, always took a stab at my own hand. I might still get the game cause it's Resident Evil, and I like RE. I won't buy RE5 if it's Xbox only though that's for damn sure.

And Dynasty Warriors looks pretty gay, but if it turns out good i may get it who knows.

I bought my DS about 3 weeks ago, I guess it is probably new?

How do you update the firmware?

To make sure it's not just my Supercard that is broken, could someone tell me the steps just to play GBA games on the DS? Do I have to format the SD card? (Never used one before). Do I have to update the firmware on the Supercard or something?

When I convert the roms, do I just drag and drop them onto the supercard?

Actually only the super card works, the super pass does not work so I can't play DS roms, just GBA ones.

But 256mb of GBA roms is more than enough to tide me over on my 2 day train ride, which is what I bought it for, so no biggie.

One thing I noticed, could anyone with a super card confirm this? I tried playing ST for GBA on the supercard, and the speed was too slow to be playable, anyone know if that can be fixed?

could you elaborate on what else sucks/is dope about the supercard? i'm thinking about ordering one...

and where did you get it? i don't wanna be ripped off...

Well NES emulation is great. Let's see, what is good:

-Uses SD or CF cards instead of a built in flash, so you can easily put entire libraries of games on the go on a couple of tiny and affordable cards (I paid like 20 bucks including shipping for my 256mb SD card and that would fit hundreds of gameboy and NES games)

-You can use windows to make folders organzing your roms on the SD card, and it will be organized that way on the supercard menu. You can easily get to the rom you want out of hundreds if you organize your roms by system and then genre and use the shoulder buttons to skip pages.

-Theoretically you can upgrade the firmware so the emulation will get better, and eventually more systems will be supported.

-On any game you can save wherever you are at any time!

-While it loads the roms it has an indicator how how long it will take to load, usually (I use SD I think CF is slower?) it takes a coupla seconds at most for roms 8 megs, instantaneous for smaller games.
What sucks:
-I dunno if it's for everyone, but the software to convert GBA and DS roms to the format the supercard can run crashes easily. I have to convert each rom one at a time, if you try to do a huge batch it will freeze up often or have an error. And by "huge batch" I mean 2 roms.

-If you have a newer DS you can't use supercard+superpass to play DS roms, the superpass is incompatible with new model DSes.

Basically if you have a DS or GBA and want a supercard to play NES and GBA and Gameboy games it's damn worth it, especially if you already own an SD card. I am real dissapointed that my superpass doesn't work with it though.

Does anyone have a supercard and need a superpass? I'll sell you mine.

New Super Mario Bros. will have.

-Cooperative gameplay, allowing two players to run around the level together and help one another. Although there is supposed to be some competative edge included with the game.

-Koopa Shells as powerups. Might not be the return of the Hammer Bros. suit, but you never know and it is at least a start.

-Return of the Flagpole.

Mario Kart info. Game is at a constant 60 FPS. Even online. And you can draft behind vehicles to get a boost. Its like when you draft behind a big rig in real life to get a boost (reduces wind resistance). And apparently, this feature was in the SNES version in some form.

But there will be something shown after you've played for a certain time that will kind of show how good you are. Details are vague. You also get stars for beating the staff's ghost times. I just read IGN's preview on mario kart. They said there was a bit of lag, but it could've been because there was so many people connected to one router/hub or whatever. Also when they played someone from germany, his kart would swerve left and right and shit, so it's hard to target with shells and ish. And finally, no banana peels or shells loading behind you so no protecting from other shells and shit, which IMO sucks.

Oh well i still hope the game turns out to be damn near good.

I'm really excited about MK:DS all around, except I'm worried about getting stomped online ever since my friend told me that Mario Kart superplay actually exists.

Does Mario Kart superplay really exist? Amazing top tier play in fighting games and FPS yeah, but Mario Kart??? Link please.

Mario Kart has always have some sort of depth, just knowing the course, when and how to turn, using drifting, to get the best times. So yes, people can be categorized by skill. If you really think about it, all games have some sort of skill involved, just how much skill is required differs in games.

Mario Kart will indeed be a good game, but greatest day in gaming history? Nigga plz

Well yeah, of course. I'm just hoping that the skill here isn't so ridiculous like "snaking" in F-Zero GX or Mags' infinite in MvC2. I'm hoping for something more accesible.

Mario Kart is still gonna have some points where it will require that much. Each kart has it's own unique way of driving. You gotta be able to know how they work and all. Honestly if you see good mario kart players, they will consistently get 1st place in races against a group of people because they're good at the game, they know how to play.

Greatest day in gaming? Probably not. But damn close? HELL YEAH.

Do you exactly know how many folks would've gladly killed a man for Mario Kart online? And it's a free, portable online play? I know at least 10 people who have thought of this idea, and I'm just one guy in a world of billions. That's saying something.

Yeah I know that. I don't plan to casualy play; I'm gonna know that stuff regardless of it's usefulness, so I'll be a good player. I'm (was) worried about crazy stuff that other competitve games have. Things that aren't normal.

I checked some MK64 superplay. Aside from the glitches and cheats, it seems mostly like good sliding techniques (like sliding down straight roads, not just turns) Doesn't seem like something I wouldn't be able to get a handle on.

What I'm worried about now is...DROP-ERS! Losers who disconnect mid-race so they don't lose.

Online sessions are contested over a series of four races... One problem that we've encountered a lot, which is somewhat surprising given that we're presumably racing against Nintendo employees and other people in the games industry at this point, is that our opponents have been disconnecting as soon as they realize that it's impossible for them to win. It's conceivable, of course, that network problems are to blame for all of our disconnected opponents, but given the predictable timing of said disconnections (after we win the third consecutive race of four, for example), it seems that poor sportsmanship is more likely the cause. Part of the problem is undoubtedly that Mario Kart DS isn't set up to punish players who disconnect regularly in any way, so when you check out your opponents' stats, you can see how many wins and losses he or she's notched up--but not how many times the person has quit out of a session he or she was losing.

I can't stand when people do that to me when reputation is on the line (MK:DS tracks your wins and losses). I assume that no one wants to bother with the fourth race if they know all they will get for their effort is the "Loser" screen, so I think it's possible that this game may have a high drop rate. Anyone else think so?

All I know is that I plan to take my losses like a man. Just think of it as battle scars are cool (err, as long as you have some wins to go with them)

512 mb is not 512 megs.

in a 512 mb cart it can only fit roughly 13-14 gba files.

that's all i'm going to say about it.

512/8 = 64MB.

GBA games range from 4 to 16MB. So, at most is 16 games at 4MB each; at least is 4 games at 16MB each. All the RPGs are pretty big (16MB).

Yeah, IGN reviews sonic rush, 9 out of 10.

Closing Comments
Sonic Rush is an extremely polished DS title. It does a great job offering a fantastic, energetic old-school challenge that keeps the classic gaming style alive. Though the market's moved on to 3D platformers which, admittedly, affords developers more opportunity for variety in their designs, this game does evolves the original Sonic style wonderfully by combining contemporary technology with fresh and new gameplay mechanics. And it's tough as nails.

8.0 Presentation
Extensive adventure with several gameplay options. The developers push a decent story, but it's time to start giving DS cutscenes better focus instead of the "subtitled talking heads" type.

9.0 Graphics
Fast and furious action that ties both screens as one. Excellent combination of 2D and 3D elements with some really clever visual effects at work.

9.0 Sound
Extremely catchy background music that's very remeniscent of the Jet Grind Radio style. In-game voice work gives the action some charm, too.

9.0 Gameplay
The fastest, most energetic, and coolest 2D Sonic game created. The "unfair" elements of past Sonic games have been remedied with new and welcome gameplay elements. And it's incredibly challenging.

9.0 Lasting Appeal
The two character structure keeps replay high, and the single cart multiplayer races are surprisingly fun.

9.0
Outstanding OVERALL
(out of 10 / not an average)

IGN:
After experiencing Mario Kart DS, it's hard to imagine how Nintendo's going to improve on what they've done for this stunning portable rendition. There's so much gameplay and depth in this design, moreso than the series has ever had in the past. It's an amazingly addictive racer both in single and multiplayer modes, and even with the limitations of the online functions, it's impossible to avoid becoming addicted to the long distance Mario Kart match-ups. The only way to finish this review is just to say it: this is the greatest Mario Kart game ever developed, and is without a doubt the best DS game of 2005.

9.5 Presentation
Incredibly thorough single and multiplayer experience with tons of options to beef up the variety. The online component works simply and elegantly, but it's just a little too restrictive.
9.0 Graphics
Super fast, super smooth 3D engine drives the action. All the Mario-esque elements are represented here, and even though the characters are low-poly they still look fantastic.
9.0 Sound
The happy, peppy Mario style of music continues on its happy and peppy direction. Some voice samples are more compressed than others. Stereo effects are outstanding and work well on the DS speakers.
10 Gameplay
This is the best of the Mario Kart best. Kart and weapon balance is incredibly tight, new track designs are fantastic, and the game has an extraordinary amount of playtime well after
10 Lasting Appeal
If there's any game you'll continuously come back to, it's this one. Single cart, multiple cart, and online multiplayer, and single player finally has "bots" for practicing Battle Mode!
9.5 OVERALL

Yeah, this will be awesome. Best mario kart game ever.

I'm a new DS owner. Picked up a used one in excellent condition for $109 the other day.

-----

I know this is very old, but "Feel the Magic" is too good.

I picked it up used for $9.99 in case anybody else hasn't bought this game yet. At first I thought it would be lame with the silhouette girl as the female character, but now I think it's perfect because you can imagine whatever hot girl you want her to look like. The minigames are all very wacky, Japanesey, and addictively fun. Also, any game that uses the "boing-ng-ng-ng" sound effect --> There's even a bonus "maniac"/pervert mode where you prod the girl with the stylus and she gets mad at you which I think is hilarious and brilliant.

The humor is crude, the sexual innuendo is plenty, and this is some of the most fun I've had for a handheld video game ever. Every DS owner owes it to themselves to pick up a copy of this game if they haven't yet in my opinion.

-----

My friend told me I would love Wario Ware if I liked Feel the Magic. I haven't finished it and unlocked all the bonuses completely yet, but supposed FTM is too short? Wario Ware is still $35 used so I haven't considered purchasing it yet. Can somebody tell me how they enjoyed that game?

What are the other must own games for this system besides Castlevania and Mario Kart too?

DS is better when it comes to games. PSP I see only as a multifunction machine with crappy games. Only thing that makes it worthwhile is hacking it and using it for ROMS/videos/etc. But i'm not gonna hate on it or anything, but since i'm looking for game machines, i like the DS better.

About mother 3...doesn't matter if it's GBA or DS, the fact is that you can play it on either if you own a DS, and it's mother 3, if it's as good as the others, it doesn't matter.

Just reserved Mario Kart DS at my GameStop. The guy there told me that it comes in on the 15th, and on Wednesday. Considering that the 15th is Tuesday, I'll go and see if they have it then anyways.

As for why I chose DS: I did a lot of thinking before I decided. It came down to three factors for me: affordability, longevity, and connectivity. The DS was a much more affordable choice. On top of the $300 price tag, the PSP requires memory sticks which are not cheap at all. Plus it requires you to buy your favorite DVD's again just so you can watch them on the go. The DS, while it may not be around as long as the PSP, still has a better battery life and focuses on playing games for long hours. The PSP sacrifices battery life for multiple features. From what I've heard, the PSP is great for music, but if you watch a movie then you're almost out of battery. As for connectivity, most of my friends were planning to or already had a DS.

Even with that said, there are still aspects of the PSP that impress me. I don't hate it or say that the DS is better. I just think that at this point the DS was a better choice for me. You have to consider what matters to you most and do a lot of thinking. Otherwise you might find one thing that bugs you to death and decide that you made the wrong choice.

HOLD IT!!!

A couple of you guys meantioned this title, but no one has given it the attention it deserves. And that DS title would be Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney.

I think each any every one of you DS owers should buy this game.

As meantioned before, this game is a court-game. As the title suggests, you are Phoenix Wright, a rookie attorney. And as you expect, you are presented with a case, and a client that you have to prove innocent. To do so, you have to collect information in the form of evidence and tesimony. Each trial is no more than three days long, with each day having two parts:

The first part is gathering information and evidence. Essentially, you visit locations, examine the area for clues, talk to people involed with the case, and perhaps present them with evidence to get more info/evidence. This process is very linear, and the game will not allow you do begin the 2nd part until you do everything needed. This part can get pretty tedious and you can easily get stuck if you arn't meticulous. The drama that unfolds during this process is very interesting, but the process of getting it is a bit of a chore. This is a game's sole weak point, but a minor one at that.

The second part is the trial itself. The way it works is that the prosecution will present a witness, who will say something about the crime. After that is done, you get to cross-examine. And here is where the fun starts.

The cross-examine is simply the witnesses testimony chopped up into pieces: short sentences or phrases. For each piece, you can do one of two things:

1) You can press the witness by yelling (literally, you yelling) "HOLD IT!". Here you usually ask a question about the statement. This is useful for getting more info, or getting the witness to say more. All to lead up to doing the 2nd thing...

2) ...and that is to object. This is how to destroy false testimonies and prove all sorts of things. This is what you're trying to do almost all the time. To do it, you have to find a "contridiction". This is something the witness is saying that contridicts the evidence you have. To do it, at the point where the witness is saying the contridiction, go to your court records, select the evidene, and yell the one thing that you'll learn to love to yell by the time you beat the game:

OBJECTION!!!

After you object (correctly), prepare to hear a hilarious *SMACK!* and/or *SKEWER* sound effect. And if you really nailed the witness, you'll get an over-dramatic scream and body expression. It's VERY satisfying.

Basily you'll be doing the aformeantioned things for the whole game. Here are a couple of notes about the game...

The game seems short. And what I mean by that is that the game has only 5 cases, but last 3 cases are LOOOOOONG! You'll have played the game for a good 20-25 at least when you're finished. Even so, I do wish they had maybe 2 or 3 more cases, because the last case really introduced some cool gameplay elements that I would have liked use in other cases.
The court system is this game is NOT like ours. They do have the basics, but there are some odd differences. For one, the prosecutors are responcible for the payroll of the police force (which opens the door for corruption). Also, you do not have to present to the opposition the evidence and witnesses you have before the trail (as you may or may not know, you have to give each side proper time to examine evidence here in the states..). But it doesn't take away from the game, since it actually makes the game more exciting.
The judge is an idiot. You will suspect it at the start of the first case, and will know it by the time it ends. The witnesses can be pretty stupid, too.
The game has a great difficultly curve. The first case is crazy easy. I laughed when I heard the witnesses testimonies. The contradictions where so obvious is was uncanny. But as you reach the end of the game an the cases get more complex, you'll be bombarded with so much evidence ann information, you can easily get stumped or confused if you don't pay attention.
The game makes good use of all the DS's functionality. You use the mic to yell "Objection!!" and "Hold It!!" as well as blowing when dusting for fingerprints. The touch screen is used for almost everything, from menu section to examining locations and evidence. And the duel-screen is used mainly by having the text on top and the menu on bottom.
Prepare for some crazy cases. At the beginning of the case, you are given the case, what the procecution and police say happened, and an idea of what evidence/witness they have. In a couple of cases, you'll scratch you head and wonder "How do I defend this?", but as you chip away at the case, what you find at the end is a really crazy (put reasonable probable) story, that took as long at it took to solve because of a LOT of circumstances and A LOT of people who fight WAY to hard to tell you nothing. But that isn't a bad point, since it's the path to the truth, and you trying to figure out what is going on, that is where much of the fun is.

This is a hard game to put down when you buy it. The cases really put you at the edge of your seats, as you second guess yourself as you pry into the truth. Anyone who loves mysteries will love this game. Hell, anyone who likes good stories will love this game.

PLAY IT!

Christmas is gonna own me...i gotta get a DS, MK:DS, WI-FI, THAW, Ace attourney, Trauma center, CV, too many games.

I'm not into pirating against nintendo for some odd reason, because they're No.1 in my book still.
Is it also because ds emulators suck ass?
And zero, i would buy phoenix if i had any spare money, but mk and sonic beats it out at the moment.

Hey part of being a good player is knowing your limitations, I know what games I'm good at (Fighters, RPGs, Puzzlers, Action/Adventure, Connect Four) and what I suck at (everything else ESP. RACERS!!!).

That's not all. Part of being good in anything competitive is not only knowing your limitations, but surpassing them! Don't settle for second! I thought you watched anime...

I'm not saying I can't become marginally good at MK:DS...

I can see my record now: 999 losses/ 0 wins :crybaby:

OBJECTION!!! (that's quite a contradiction!)

I heard that your win record only reflects wins versus people on your friends list. Your friends list can only consist of people that you have played via LAN (non WiFi). On top of that people don't see your record until you already agree to play.

BTW talking about Mario Kart DS.

But in order to have "friends" you need that person's friend code - which is only applicable online. Sort of a contradiction...

Oh well, I guess I'll find out tomorrow:tup:

And dammit, I asked for today off work and drove all the way to town, only for them to tell me that today's shipment prolly won't be shelved until around 3. So I should've just gone to work after all. And I wasted the gas of the first trip, because I will be making a second one around 4.

I was wondering if anybody can like hook me up with some directions on how to get gba roms onto a flash cart and what not. Obviously im a newbie at this sort of stuff so dont kill me if this has been answered to death. Btw I bought this flash cart pack from linker4u >http://www.consolesource.com/ecomm/catalog/product_2320_NDS_NEO_Flash_1GB.html

edit: never mind it turns out there was a loader on the software cd and I successfully put metroid zero mission there.

I got it too but I'm confused on how the WiFi works. Still the game is more fun than I expected and i love the option that you can draw an emblem on your car. (mine's an eye)

MK:DS is too good. Favorite course as of now is Waluigi's Pinball.

Am I the only one who gets a bit sore after playing a while? I think it's the button placement that kinda throws me off.

Been playing super princess peach and I gotta say this game is great. The girly theme might turn some off but the game is definitely in the same league as super mario world 2 on the snes. Great buy too bad I can't read japanese as a lot of the game consits of reading. Can't wait for the u.s release to understand the story a bit more

AL the great

I can't get the stupid "Feel the Magic" music out of my head. It's so bad that it even in my dreams last night.

I do love the opening movie for this game though, where the camera zooms in on the bikini girl, the girl gives you a kiss, and then it shows her go-go dancing on the stripper platform. The sequence needs to be longer, I should be able to play it whenever I want without having to restart my DS, and there should be some kind of unlockable where the girl gives you a lapdance and/or dances on the platform while you can adjust the camera.

I also wish you could unlock the sound effects where the characters say the name of stage. My favorite sounds are "Snaaake!" and "Maaagic touuuuch...."

I figured out how to beat all the levels on "Signs" on my own last night and it felt pretty good. I was SOO tempted to just go to gamefaqs since I kept getting stuck and it was frustrating. I kept at it and finally figured out the trick to solving the 4 move puzzles is to memorize what the board looks like for the 3 move puzzles. In one move, if you can make the board look like what it would for the 3 move puzzle, the board is solvable. Oh yay! :lovin:

It's really cheesy and extremely nerdy that I'm enjoying this, but I love the "Dance" level also. In particular whenever she goes, "Up!" --> :bgrin:

I can't beat the last level of "Scorpion". I came so close last night too. Just ONE more little scorpion and I would of beat it. Beating this level will be my goal next time I play.

"Candle" is stupidly hard and I keep getting dizzy (in real life) every time I try to beat it. "Monocycle" is damn impossible. I got lucky and beat all the levels on "Chaser" if anybody actually believes that though. I hate the "Plants" level where you only have one life so much. I've never beaten it even once without getting hit a least once by some stupid random tentacle attack.

Had anybody played the sequel to this game yet? I read that it's out in Japan already, and I'm tempted to import it. Does anybody have it and know whether there's an English language option on the game or not? If not, then when's the release date for the US version?

-------

Am I the only one that doesn't like the Castlevania games? I'm not talking about "Castlevania DS" because I haven't played it yet. It's the highest rated DS game on 1up.com right now though and everybody is always telling me how awesome Castlevania is.

I'm trying to play "Aria of Sorrow" for the GBA right now, and honestly, I'm not enjoying it too much. I don't like not knowing where to go and having to do all this backtracking because I get lost during all this exploration. I keep dying too and it pisses me off because I restart back at my last save point (no continue option). I also don't like the girly, metrosexual character designs, and having to pick which weapon/ability I want all the time is annoying. Anything where I have to bash a ton of monsters to level up/collect gold is kind of annoying actually.

I loved "Cave Story" for my computer and "Wonderboy in Monster Land" for my old Sega Master System so much. I'm trying really hard but I just can't get into this similar "Castlevania" game though.

-------

I'm bored with "Trace Memory" already. Would anybody like to trade with me? I really wished it was geared towards an older audience (some scary/jump moments, more morbid storyline as well), but it's not. The art for the game is really nice though. It has a sexy scientist lady who gets abducted and drugged up at one point, but not having the tentacle/anime rape follow up scene ruins all the sexual innuendo that I was hoping for. Having an underaged little girl as the main character too --> I really would of prefered an 18+ girl with some boobs at least. Although the puzzles are creative, the game overall is still too easy and I beat it in just two days. What's the other adventure game out for the DS right now?

I don't remember what it's called, but you're stuck on a desert island with a cute girl, but she's really an annoying bitch who can't do anything for herself and you have to take care of her, gather food, etc... "Harvest Moon" style.

I don't know if I like that kind of game either, but it's the only other adventure game out for the DS at the moment. What I really wish there to be is an adventure game with "Myst" style gameplay, but a disturbing, spooky theme like "Silent Hill" or "Fatal Frame".

There's a great flash game called "Ex Mortis" on newgrounds.com that is the kind of game I wish I had for my handheld.
