If anyone wants to mognet some letters on FF III (I don't know what the benefits are though), let me know.

Just got back from the mall and here are my impressions on a few things:

I got to play both the Wii and PS3. At first I was excited but then I quickly got over all the hype. The PS3 hardware looks VERY ugly, while the Wii is beautiful to look at. The game that was playing on the PS3 looked so damn good, however it's just about a little bit better than the 360. The Wii, it looked like crap (Wii Sports). Also, I felt really akward in the store swinging the controller in my hand. Definately something you'd rather have @ home. Overall, I wasn't impressed w/ either and i'm not going to purchase any of the two systems anytime soon. I'm sure they will be great down the road, but I just wasn't impressed.

So, I left w/ FF3 for the DS. I've played for an hour now, and I think it's a great game. It will definately be hard, because after playing it for 10 minutes, there was just so many battles and I almost died... Too bad they didn't find a good way to use the top screen. The blank screen (top) by itself is a little boring.

So you can send letters through wifi on FF3?

Now that i think about it, i never learn the concept to the whole "Friend Codes" how does it work?

Who wants to explain jobs to me? cause once i started changing jobs, i swear it seemed like equiping weapons actually DECREASED my attack....

Friend Codes: each person has a specific friend code that ties a specific copy of the game to a specific user. Another user must know the user's name and code in order to play with (or interact with) another user as a safety feature (so you don't have pedofiles playing with younger kids).

Jobs in FF III: I noticed the same thing. When I got my first set of jobs, my white mage had 20 attack. I equipped a staff and it went down to 3. I let her fight barehanded for a while, haha. There's an adjustment period every time you change, it tells you how many battles til that character adjusts to that job. You'll see an icon next to the character (at the status screen) with two arrows pointing down, that means their still adjusting. I think the decreased attack when equipping weapons is somewhat of a fluke that happens at the beginning of the game. And I only noticed it with my white mage. EDIT: I notice it now when I change to any class. I think you have to just increase the job levels for the attack power to really adjust.

Just got the second set of classes in FF III. Apparently, you can send letters to characters in the game, too. Not quite sure what this does yet.

I hated normal. The beat was so fucking slow. Once you unlock hard mode it gets infinitely better.

And i'm really digging FF3... although I can see why adverse hated it but so far I think it's the best rpg on DS so far.

And i'm really digging FF3... although I can see why adverse hated it but so far I think it's the best rpg on DS so far.Yeah, I've only had it for a day so far and I've got 2 tracks left til I unlock Hard mode. Can't wait.

I thought it started pretty slow too tho. I didn't even have to repeat a song until "Canned Heat" and it didn't get really challenging until "Let's Dance"

Hard and Ultra Hard mode should be fun tho. God thi sgame is great. I hope they make a sequel with a better playlist though. I'd love more classic rock/punk.

...seriously.

EDIT: Okay, just unlocked "Sweatin'" mode. now this is what i'm talking about.

Anyone else notice the clearly racist undertones of this game? The Blonde guy is the frontman, the guy with light skin and dark hair (see: Jew?) is the leader, and the redhead (see: Irish) and blacks are relegated to backup singers and noobs.

The localization team must have done their research. They have western culture down pat.

Now I know what to get myself for Christmas on the DS, Yoshi's Fucking Island 2!!!!!! Or Yoshi's Island DS or whatever they call it. XD

Glad to hear that's pretty much like the original, but just bigger and has more stuff. XD

Best sequel idea ever for an already perfect game.

Just thought I'd visit here to set the record straight re: Phoenix Wright 2: Justice for All (I posted earlier saying I was finding it disappointing).

By the end of the game I was totally sold. The stages get progressively better and I believe the 4th stage was actually the best yet from either game. Sure, there was no DS-exclusive stage this time, but stage 4 made up for that by being so spectacular. Roll on the next installment, I'm hooked.

(Hm seems I've forgotten to make a token gesture....)

So yes, in conclusion you'll certainly find no OBJECTION from me when it comes to Phoenix Wright 2!!

EDIT: oh yeah, and I don't have Jump Ultimate but I have Jump Super and can totally empathise with you. I have no idea how the game should be played, and the FAQ is a mission in itself.... I wish i'd done a bit more homework before importing that one.

Just got mine in the mail yesterday. After employee discount, it ran me about $116.

I've been totally hooked on Magnetica, and I'm looking to pick up Meteos, Kirby Canvas Course, & Kirby Squeak Squad in the near future.

I've been looking at Yoshi's Island DS, but I guess I'm a little put off because I think it should be on a home console, but then again, with Super Mario Galaxy,S uper Paper Mario, and Kirby headed to the Wii next year, that would kind of oversaturate it with flagship platformers.

Fadedsun303

I'm curious. What's everyones highest line score in Tetris DS?

I just got 402 lines, and this is phenomenal for me. It was hard reaching 80 lines back on the original Nintendo version. Granted it's easier now because of the option to save a piece for later use, but 402 is still alot.

Gave up on EBA after a few tracks on insane. Fuck it lol..You're missing out.

I'm working my way through "Hard Rock" mode now. Just finished "Let's Dance" and "The Anthem" which unlocked "Survivor" (which is now my least favorite track in the game...not because it's hard, but because the song sucks) So IIRC that means I'm 3 tracks away from beating Hard Rock mode.

One of my proudest accomplishments is getting an S-rank on Sweatin'-mode "Jumping Jack Flash". I'm so glad I saved the replay on that...only fucked up once when my stylus slipped off one of the "phrase bars"

I can't stop playing this game. God I hope they make a sequel or at least put an Agent in SSBB (or even a team of agents :wow:)

Someone needs to have open source EBA so you can customize the tracklist and have it autogenerate everything else lol.

Maybe I'll pick up EBA again. Gonna give Eragon a try though.

I don't think I'm looking forward to Portrait of Ruin anymore though, after going through practically everything in the import.

Okay...Just purchased my DS last week...and I have never looked back since....this thing is fucking AWESOME!

Games that I have:

- Elite Beat Agents
- Final Fantasy 3

So far I LOVE EBA soooooo muchhhh! It's addicting as hell and Its funn like crazy. I'm not feeling FF3 that much...as a person who played FF back in the OG days, it seems like this is DEFINITELY OG status.....who knows, I'm only in at it about 2 hours....so we'll see.

I wanted to ask for suggestoins for games....please suggest something to me guys! I was thinking about picking up: EBA's prequel (Osu! Tatakae! Ounendan!)

Games that I've been interested in:

- Children of mana
- Yoshi island 2
- Mario Kart

MechZZ
11-30-2006, 11:15 PM
Do not buy Children of Mana

What a diaster of a game.

Pick up CastleVania: Dawn of Sorrow, and then get CV: PoR

what else.... New Super Mario Bro's is a good game, Advance Wars: DS. Phoenix Wright(but good fucking luck trying to find that), Megaman ZX is your a megaman fan. ummm Trauma Center is pretty damn fun but it makes you wanna throw your DS at the wall sometimes.

P.S. I have like 12 hours on FF3, I'm loving it, but that's just me.

Ok, an update on where I'm at.

I beat EBA on the hardest difficulty (whoooo) and have now started Yoshi's Island DS, which is a great game (though not as great as Elite Beat Agents.) It's really fun though and Yoshi has tons of abilities, even more than in the 1st Yoshi's Island. Somehow I liked the art style of the 1stno e better though. This one has a lot less of the "moving crayon" look that I loved in the snes one.

I've just started world 4. I've got baby mario, peach, and DK. Baby Wario is specific to only world 3 so far, and I've yet to meet baby bowser.

...seriously.

HOLD IT!

For the folks that can't seem to find Phoenix Wright. Go to Toys R Us. If your store has copies, you can snag one for $19.99. My store had like 7 copies or so and many people on CAG have reported their TRU's carrying a lot of copies (probably a fresh shipment since this game has been printed again). Well worth the dough. I didn't know I could have so much fun with a text based game like this.

Portrait of Ruin is almost here! Just about 5 more days!

I'm 28 hrs into FFIII. It's a great old school RPG which to me is what I grew up on. I haven't played any newskool RPG so i'm a little biased.

The story is average, but the gameplay is great because of the job system. It's a solid title and I look forward to playing it when i'm at work.

I got my DS Lite a little over a week ago and love it with a passion.

Games I have so far are as follows:

Dragon Quest: Rocket Slime
Tetris DS
Super Princess Peach

I have the DS Wifi USB plug-in but have yet to set it up so I haven't played any wifi Tetris just yet. Once I get it up I'll be sure to post my number.

BTW, anyone play wifi Bomberman Land yet? I was tempted to buy it but I've heard multiplay wifi is terrible. Is this true?

Super Princess Peach

That game can be fun, but I found it to be way too easy.

Anyway, I currently have:

Magnetica
Meteos
Kirby Canvas Course

I plan on picking up:

Castlevania DS & PoR
Polarium
Konductra
Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime
Kirby Squeak Squad(When there's a price drop)
New Super Mario Bros(When there's a price drop)

The DS Lite is turning out to be the first Nintendo console in a long time that I haven't bought for its first party titles at the exclusion of everything else.

Can anyone give me testimonial's on Mario Kart?

It's Mario Kart. And it's the greatest Mario Kart ever. It gives you hot tracks from all the games (including the GBA) and new ones. It has skill improving mission mode complete with bosses. Awesome hidden ghosts for each track in time trial. Terrific battle and star rape multiplayer modes.

And best of all, it's online for a majority of the tracks.

So when I say it's the best Mario Kart ever, it really is. Although I haven't played that Namco Mario Kart arcade game and I didn't play enough of Mario Kart 64 to really say something. But I've played the other two for sure. And I'm telling you man, you need this game as a DS owner.

I recommend it without hesitation. If you like original games with strong storylines, characters and art, PW is for you. The PW games have been the best thing on my DS to date by a comfortable margin.

It's a fun game. You don't feel like you are trying to find the fun because it's just there to begin with. Right away it's a just pure fun.

I got my Castlevania Preorder gift. I can't use the sexy extendo stylus since I have an old DS. The game case is sweet as f. Very sexy and goes with a DS Lite. The Art Book is short but has a lot of great images from, what looks like, all of the games. One day, Konami should find someone to publish a Street Fighter Eternal Challenge style book. The CD is a whopping 37(!) tracks long. Granted, some are shorter than a minute but it covers many many of the games.

I say it's like the bestest preorder gift ever. Beating out, imo, MGS3:Subsistence's bonus DVD. And it certainly beats out that MGS:PO case (I saw it first hand and it's kinda like... meh. Sure why not.). Great going Konami. So for the next preorder bonus, can we get a whip?

Somehow, I'm not feeling this one as much as DoS though. The 2-char system is a bit of a turnoff for me. What 1 char could do before, now it takes 2 to accomplish. :wtf:

mognet bs
* go to nintendowifi.com if you have setup questions - you'll need to run the wifi setting options on the game startup screen to connect to the access point
* run into one of the mognet cats
* go to address book and get your friend code
* exchange that with somebody else: must have a reciprocal add or you're dead in the water
* send mail (anything) to A Faraway Friend (unless you have someone local)
* send mail to one of the locals - i think you'll need a total of four mails to everyone
* quicksave (save first if you want), restart your ds, use the ds settings control panel *set the clock forward one hour* (bypasses the 1-per-hour lock)
* repeat send mail/quicksave/restart/clock tweak a total of 7 times (for the Faraway/Local Friend trick)

Way way too involved. Onion Knight better rock.

EDIT: OMG, I don't care about the Onion Knight being kinda weak until L99 - they start out with Equip All, Learn All Spells... awesome. I approve.

'Just beat Yoshi Island DS... those extra stages are hella hard.

Now the two games on the top of my priority list is Kirby: Squeak Squad and Jump: Ultimate Stars.

Has anyone played those two yet and can give me some input on how they are compared to their prequels?
Also can J:US still be played on wifi in the U.S. (being an imprt and all)?

NDS - SNK vs. Capcom Card Fighters DS (SNK Playmore): 7 / 6 / 5 / 7 - (25/40)

A little disappointing to see SNK Vs Capcom Card Fighters score so low.

The reviewer must have been mentally retarded because I refuse to believe SVCF could be so medicore. It just... can't be crap. How is that even possible? There is no possible excuse for it. I mean... it's a miracle Playmore even decided to go through with it, right? Right.

Current games I'm playing: Trauma Center, Phoenix Wright, Yu-Gi-Oh! Spirit Summoner.

Trauma Center has made me regret all of my run-ins with titles that are infamously known for their "free ride" style of difficulty. This game is straight up fierce. It has seriously started kicking my gaming habits off their lotten laurels, and back in shape. I also openly appreciate the fact I don't have drag my feet in the mud just pick apart some asinine storyline for some actual gameplay. Good shit.

Phoenix Wright is just... perfect. Absolutely perfect. One of the greatest video games of all time. I'm no longer surprised as to why this game is still nigh impossible to find in stock even with it rereleased. I will kill a baby to get that damn stylus. Watch me. The average gamer would be hard pressed to find a better portable than this... and should be forever thankful it even exists.

YGO SS is... eh. Wishy-washy and a little iffy. I would probably be completely sold on the game if it wasn't for the unfortunate overextention of anything even remotely fun... in it. Case in point is the pussified difficulty and zombified pacing of the storyline. Triggering events is like... asking God to punch you in the kidneys in front of your baby sister. Completely ridiculous. If you aren't at least lvl. 156 and befriended everyone in your dorm, dueled with them 50 times, collected their deck recipes in alphabetical during a Monday exam... and happened to fist fuck Alexis while Jaden and Dr. Crowler watched you might just be .0002% closer to moving along with the rest of the game! Happy days! ...Christ, are you serious?! Who in their right mind thought this could actually be... fun? And furthermore... why was this course of action even necessary when World Championships 2007 is going to be released in March? What's the point? Ugh. Spirit Summoner is vaguely reminscent of Disgaea which is just... scary. A game where you are literally forced to tend, nurture... and pay the same attention to detail as you would a career/child just to get anywhere near the end of it.

Without the promise of actually being throughly entertained, I just don't have that kind of time, nor will I find the time for a video game.

But yeah, whatever. Props for sick graphics and remaining true to the anime storyline. But I may end up purchasing a PSP just for Tag Force until Konami can get their act together. I refuse to force myself into collecting, meeting, triggering every. single. unecessary. item, card, character... or event possible just to beat a game. It will be a looonnngggg while before I beat it, and I guess WDE will remain to be the only perfect mark on an otherwise lackluster history.

OMG a Phoenix Wright Pointng stylus.

Fuck! I want that stylus so much now but I already both the Japanese version of Phoenix Wright 2 since it has a button to change all of the text to english. I guess this is the curse of my impatience. Either way, Phoenix Wright 2 is a damn good game so far. Right now I just finished the first case which was a good opener to the game. It wasn't as easy as the first case in part 1 which is a good thing since that once was just a brief tutorial. I can't wait to start the next case.

It's much more like Lumines. It can be kind of stale at the beginning(which applies to nearly every puzzle game that there ever was), but it definitely gets better with time.

To amplify what I said before, the DS version is an example of a title that has the stylus/touch screen forced in just for the sake of it(much like Nanostray). The game is much better played with standard d-pad and buttons, so if it's not going to utilize the touch screen and it's not an exclusive, then I'd rather have it for the PSP.

I picked it up a while ago, but it kinda took me a while to get into. It plays kinda like a hack and slash MMO, only with a story to me.

It's definately a good game, and anybody who wants to try a different style of RPG should pick it up, since it's only 20 bucks.

If anybody is interested in getting FF III, there's a coupon that you have to sign up for online that's good for today only at Toys R Us to get it for 19.99. You're supposed to go to the TRU website and sign up, but I did and did not get the email with the coupon :-( It was on the TRU website for that price, but now its out of stock, though you might be able to price match it. There are some workarounds to actually get the coupon to print out, courtesy of "Grilledwitonions" from Cheapassgamer.com:
The link says:
http://offers.e-centives.com/registration/col.cfm?type=portal&id=1BBD95A0-8211-43AD-A716-D56EA3B0A313&e=RILEYSMOM628@YAHOO.COM&fn=RYAN&ln=R ODGERS

Find this:
e=RILEYSMOM628@YAHOO.COM

It's near the end. Simply change it to your email address (or actually, anything: I just tried stupid@stupid.com and it worked fine).

It also has fn (first name) and ln (last name) variables. It doesn't appear to do anything with those values, but then again it MIGHT be putting something in the barcode somehow to be shown when scanned; how possible is this? I have no idea what TRU systems are like.

And, if you DO screw up printing the coupon, just use another email address; that's al it's checking.

I did all of this in FF 2.0 BTW. It's not installing anything but a plugin really, so it's not messing with your system much, and isn't very good at checking how many couposn you printed.

That FF 2.0 is some plugin to print out the coupon. Good luck.

Also, FF XII is only $24.99 there if you're interested. http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2465035&cp

...seriously.I have to agree about liking 1 better. The graphical style had such a cute, hand-drawn crayon look that was just awesome. And the level design was a tad superior. But YIDS is still a very, very solid platforming game.

What's wrong with Baby Wario and Bowser? Well OK, Baby Wario is a bit weird and his magnet is kinda wonky to control and use for interacting with objects, but Baby Bowser is pretty cool.

And Baby DK owns me, you, and the whole rest of the game. Seriously.

quiche
12-12-2006, 12:21 PM
Baby Bowser can only have 1 fireball in play at a time and they travel pretty slowly, so if you miss, you have to keep tapping the button and watch him try to spit fire and get nothing, like he has dry heaves, until the original fireball leaves the screen, and while he's riding you, you can't use your tongue, so you can't make any eggs unless there's an egg box nearby. Also, he can only shoot fireballs horizontally, which is a pain since Yoshi's tongue can at least go straight up, and while you have Bowser you can't make any more eggs so you have to conserve what you have. Not being able to attack upwards if you run out of eggs really sucks.

I'll admit that DK is fun, especially his down + X, but somehow when climbing the animation gets really choppy and looks a lot worse than any other animations in the game.

...seriously.

There's a only a few things you hafta collect. One of the gay things is that you have to collect 3 toads for each level... sorta like how you would collect coins in NSMB. BUUUT, you can't go onto the final level until you collect ALL of the toads.

but after you beat it, i'd doubt you'd touch it again

Whoa! You like DoS that much better than PoR? Yeah, I'm not really digging thr 2-char mechanics. I like going it alone. Besides, it takes Jonathan AND Charlotte to do what Soma could do by himself.

Also, PoR has too much 3d in it. I want it completely sprite-based, dammit.

On Sonic Rush: The gameplay is superb. It's really a wonderful Sonic game when you're actually playing it.

That being said, any time you're not playing it is like being forced to watch an episode of teletubbies. The voice acting sounds like a bunch of kids with their nuts in a vice. The story is insultingly stupid, and the dialogue is worse than having a can of beans shoved up your ass...including the can. If you can bear through the between-play segments, the gameplay itself (which is like 85% of the experience) is superb.

The speed, level design, and music are all top tier.

Though Blaze is a total throwaway character and I have no idea why the keep insisting that Sonic can't be the only playable char in his games.

Oh, and the Boss fights are medoicre.

Yo Nas, as far as Tetris goes, I picked it up yesterday and I can say its pretty good. The touch screen is used in Touch Mode and its not regular tetris, you use the stylus to move pre-positioned blocks or rotate them to make lines and make this thing at the top come to the bottom, so its a different kind of puzzle.

Its also got Catch Mode and Push Mode, both tetris oriented but not just regular old tetris. Then there's always the Wi Fi games! Somethin to think about.

I'm lovin Kirby SS and I can't wait for SVC, Marvel TCG and Age of Empires.

Yeah, if you send 7 mognet mails, you unlock a secret dungeon and the Onion Knight job (which you should switch to once you get to overall level 95).

When you *get* mail signed with a Master signature, you then visit the Legendary Blacksmith and she gives you the unique power weapon/armor/whatever for that job class. You have to have done the Sara's Pendant side quest (and gotten the Ultima Weapon) before you can use them, though.

If anybody wants anything, lemme know - I walked around with my DS everywhere for 3-4 days to get job level 99 in every job class. =P

Best place to job level is Altar Cave - block for 5-6 rounds, then attack == +1 job level every fight.
Best place to overall level is ... wherever you're able to fight and not die. I've heard that the underwater Cave of Tides has the best exp/monster HP ratio in the game. Wandering around just inside the entrance to the Ancient Maze isn't a bad idea since that way you'll have your mobile hospital (Invincible) nearby plus you can save easily.

Hey Preppy,
Just wondering, what did you get that makes it say "Master Ninja" and "Master Thief" when you sent me mognet letters? Was that because you have the master weapons for the Ninja or thief class? Or did you just write that there and I'm dumb? Haha.

Preppy

^-- You have to get job level 99 and visit the Legendary Blacksmith. She'll recognize your Master XXX and give you the Master XXX card (and the unique weapon if you don't already have it).

So I do have those Master class cards (and weapons), but more importantly if you go visit the Legendary Blacksmith (if you haven't already) she'll give you the unique items for those classes - "Oh, I see you have a letter from a Master Thief - you should have this then". Pretty cool.

I have SFA3 for the GBA, and from what I've played, it's pretty enjoyable. I'm not exactly a SF pro, so I just spam random hurricane kicks and shoryukens, so I can't tell you how accurate the conversion is or if the hitboxes/combos were preserved or anything like that. The thing is, the button scheme is just awful; alternating between weak/medium/fierce hits requires quite a bit of dexterity because you have to use the trigger buttons. It takes a while to get used to.

It's a good conversion though, from what my limited eyes can tell. Fun, too.

I liked the gameplay in Star Fox Command. The touchscreen controls seemed very intuitive to me and the overall mechanics were quite enjoyable. I was also quite fond of the huge list of playable characters, and how each character has a unique ship with entirely individual gameplay balances (with the possible exception of Fox, Peppy, and James having pretty much the same ship). But since the cast is something like 20 characters, it's no big deal.

However, the story is ass-tastic. They seemed to be trying to hard to make it really dark, but instead end up with a completely implausible premise. But story aside, the gameplay is stellar IMO, and that's what really counts.

As for DS games that use the touchscreen well... of my library, I would give that title to Kirby: Canvas Curse. Star Fox Command and Mario vs Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis are pretty good as well. Although Mario vs DK 2 can be a little overly twitchy sometimes.

Let me just say this, apart from SNK's Capcom vs SNK for Neo Geo Dual Blades is the most refined fighting game to ever hit a handheld. Instead of trying to modify the GBA to work for modern fighters, they realized the control system was flawed and made the moves have DF motions instead of QCF, making our lives much easier.

Plus it incorporates the many fighting elements, like parrying, super cancelling, and unique kind of Roman cancelling and much more.

New Super Mario Bros vs battles are the new crack....such an awesome game on every level....

I also can't stop playing Metroid Pinball.

We still have like 10 games unopened between the 2 of us. Trouble...

bleach ds is totally awesome in some respects. namely:

it's very, very, well developed. it feels tight, like a street fighter game, and there are plenty of engine features (chain combos, air combos, supers, alpha counters, lots of different characters, etc.) that keep things pretty interesting. eight-way command dashes, EX moves, crazy OTG combos, and an easily accessible Burst that keeps things from getting TOO broken.

the downside to everything is that bursting is a little bit TOO easy (it takes 1 super meter!) and alpha counters are likewise TOO easy (do any command move/dash while blocking) that attacking ends up kind of willy-nilly. but to pick up and mess around with, especially on the DS, it's damn good. hopefully the sequel will have less lag.

and as for Starfox Command:

it does some things really well. some of the different mission-based levels are cool, and i like the tactical map stuff. the problem is that the game itself was dumbed down to work with the ds touch screen, so it's not really that hard in the same sense that say, starfox 64 was, the plot sucks donkey balls, the multiplayer also sucks donkey balls, and the missions get repetitive.

To those who have super cards, do you have trouble playing GBA games? It doesn't seem to want to save for me... I mean it saves but once I turn off the game and play it again, it starts off like I'm playing the game for the first time =\

Its annoying, but after saving, you have to do a "save to card". I think its something like L+A+B+START or L+A+B+SELECT. One of those should save it, the other is to do a save state like an emulator. Look it up, there should be a site that describes it.

I'm not sure how the volume compares to the original and DS Lite, but in an open area, without headphones... even with the volume at max, you may not hear everything as loud as you'd like. In an enclosed area where you're alone or something it's fine. I hardly ever play it with without headphones anyway since that's the best way and I suppose appropriately enough, the standard iPod headphones match well w/ the white DS Lite hehe.

nope. was a little too expensive to play a game that i've played probably 6 times anyway. if the price drops i'll probably pick it up. are you playing it? right now i'm playing ff tactics advance.

Nah, I don't feel like playing it through in Japanese even though I have the game memorized. I was just wondering how they implemented the 4 buttons instead the regular 6, which is my biggest concern for the game.

My wife got that game, and I've played it a bit. The classic battle mode is pretty awesome, but we've only played it with three people, I'm going to see if we can get more people playing that this weekend.

The only thing that sucks so far about the game is the fact that for the mini games, if you play them via wireless multiplayer, you have to do a new connection for each new game. Am I wrong? Please tell me I am, because everytime we wanted to play a different mini game, we had to turn off the ds's that didn't have the game and make a new connection.

Shit i dont know about the muti in the mini games. I'll have my friend bring his ds this weekend and try it out. That type of shit might only happen when you play with single card maybe?

Probably, but I was hoping it'd be more like NSMB's mini games, where you can choose again. It sucks setting up a game, playing for 30 seconds, then having to go through the whole process again.
