Yes, just like the first Alpha movie, this one is jsut as bad, if not worse (the first one wasn't only 45 mins was it?). This is the part where I would talk about everything I didn't like about the movie, but since there wasn't a single thing I did like I can jsut sum it up by saying everything s all jsut pretty horrible. Save your money, buy a bag of weed, order a pizza, hell buy crack for all I care, jsut don't buy this movie, unless you're going to buy it from me because I'm looking to get rid of my copy :)

By the way, why did they decide to change Ryu's headband from red to white? What did it matter if they thought "oh, cause it's red in SFII and white in Alpha" I mean, the anime was still disappointing.

I didn't like how Ryu barely wore it.....it's like it ended being Sakura's own trademark instead of Ryu's.

I got it and I thought it was MUCH better than the first. the few things that bothered me were that the fights shouldve lasted longer, running time was WAYYY too short, and no ken fighting. I give it a solid 7.5. the first alpha only gets a 5

Maybe nostalgia is clouding peoples memories; but none of the street fighter animes are very good. The story element to this anime was very simple but in this case I found less is more.

why I liked the anime; itemized (3 things):
1.
the fight sequence that culminated in Ryu putting the old man in an arm bar, to which the old man responded by repositioning his weight and shoulder checking Ryu threw the wall into the Dojo. gave me goosebumps
2.
Where Ryu beat the shit out of Sakura. Realizing taking it easy on her was an insult. He showed her respect by beating the crap out of a 16(?) year old chick. Hahaa great. The look on that other chicks face was priceless then she made eye contact with the old man like 'arent you going to do something', and he just blew out a puff from his pipe and turned his attention back to the beating. hahaa
3.
The ending was not a cop out (IMO) as other people say. You werent expecting a fight to the death were you? I thought the ending was perfect. Ryu felt he needed to fight Gouki, so Gouki beleiving that Ryu was simply in his way was about to just destroy this unworthy adversary. Then within the fight Gouki is surprized that he has underestimated Ryu and that he has something special. So Gouki lets the little fish go, in the hopes that one day they will meet again and have the suitable fight to the death he has been living for.

the old man was talking about how that sayaka girl was pregnant and left him to watch over the baby, so....was that baby ryu? so that would mean ryu is goukis son? because gouki was like "this is the power of our blood" or whatever, I always thought you could only get the dark hadou by mastering their fighting style. is it hereditary or not? damn that movie can be confusing.

yeah, the ending was really cool but it sure as hell didnt look like ryu shouldve won. akuma blasted him first and....I dont know, it didnt look like ryu shouldve won.

SF2:TAM just like the other SF2 animes was plagued by inconsistant animation. Some fights looked good (intro, Chun vs vega had its moments), but some sequences just looked awkward. And the story was adequate, but nothing unexpected or even above average. The movie was too long and just dragged on forever. And the ending sucked IMO.

I enjoyed the previous animated features, but this one eats hard. I actually enjoyed the US Saturday morning cartoon more. The flick's one saving grace is the opening fight with Ryu and the Ninja Scroll monk (yeah, him). It was a absolute joy to watch.

I think what sucks most about this movie, regardless of anything in it maybe being good, is that like anything else Street Fighter related on film, it could have been 8 million times better. We might get a good one some day. Maybe.

Totally throws continuity out the window with Sakura's appearence. It would be okay if Manga had said, "This is a standalone Street Fighter Anime" But no, they constantly said it was a prequel to the original Alpha.

The dub.

The poorly translated, and mis-timed subtitles.

The entire story had absolutely no conclusion, it was absolutely pointless. Ryu didn't learn anything, and Akuma just gives up, and leaves.

my god you only saw a clip of the movie and you consider it to suck already considering you havent even watch the movie at all. the art is fantastic, but im guessing alot of you anime freaks today watch too many new generation animes that have high resolution art like naruto and blech. Having variety artist on different anime makes it unique. an example would be like if the X-men team only consist of Wolverines with wolverine #1, #2, #3, #4 and #5, now wouldnt that suck? yes it would cause Cyclops, Rogue, Gambit, IceMan, Storm, and Cable wouldnt be on the team or even exist today and the X-men name would be change to Weapon X Wolverine's Number team. Or another easy example would be is Morrigons 10year old sprite. :lol: adjust to it and live with it unless you guys want 50 wolveirnes in the marvel universe.


though Generation have ruin the storyline, i do give manga credit for giving Ryu more character. so far, the animes are the only thing giving us a better view of Ryu compare to capcoms game and udons comic book (yea i say'd it). and even though the fight scenes arent that great, atleast they dont spent an episode talking about their techniques and train to perform certain techniques too *coughnarutocough*. i can always feel the SF characters emotions in the anime compare to the the comic book and video games and that alone gives me a reason to watch those animes over again.

naw the art in this sucks and that xmen analogy made no sense at all. yeah i watch naruto and other newer anime but that doesnt necessarily mean i like the art they have either. i like the art from the orignal street fighter movie the best. this on the other hand looks terrible even the special affects they used to make the fireballs etc look like garbage.
