Introduce yourself or something, or if you want to play leave a way to contact you. Discuss all things Garou, I guess.
I...Suck.
I play everyone, but preferrably Terry or Freeman.

Too bad you can't win with your scrubby tactics..... jD, sD, projectile/super....you suck....
You know I luv u
I'd love to play all of you, but online play frustrates me, keyboard+lag don't mix that well with me. If the game ever comes out for XBL, with little to no lag, I'm there....whenever I get a normal XB with live.

Also... Do you guys know how to set this game to console version while playing on Kaillera? I'm on Mame32k.64.

GGs yesterday Kicks.. nice to see some new players out there; hit me up on aim if u ever wanna get some games in. I don't play Garou as much as I used to but it's a classic and draws me back in every so often. Anyone else who wants to play a few give me a ring a ding. ;]
Oh and for console.. once u launch, tab to dipswitches and change arcade to home.. then lshift+f10, then f3 to reset.
Also, they're still doing updates at http://howardarena.sakura.ne.jp/

I'm in the proccess of making a basic stuff video for MotW including:
> Just Defence
> Feint moves
> Break moves
> T.O.P
> Special & Potential Powers
> Basic & Advanced Combos
It will probably take me a while so be patient for that...

I'm always up for a game of Garou, I usually hang-out at Anti3D.com or God Weapon, and my nick is the same as my sn here at SRK. I like to use mainly Rock, along with Terry, Hotaru and Hokutumaru, but I occasionally like to have fun with every character (Except Freeman, I hate him!).
I also like showing off alot in a not-so serious fight, especially with Rock, I'll try to use Neo Deadly Rave at any chance I get. It just looks so cool XD
That's what I like to hear!

I was fighting this one guy earlier today in Garou @ Anti3D, wholy shiz, he was really sick with Gato, Kim Dong (Used Dong's S-Power Mid-Air Super Move, TWICE in a row, one jumping in, and once before I would hit the ground and doing a small jump) and Rock (He used Rock's 360 throw move, Break'ed it so fast and went right into P-Power Shining Knuckle). Really sick moves... I was able to win a few times againest him using Hokutomaru, but I soon fell quickly as he overwhelmed me. O_O
I wish I could pull off those kind of moves and combo's, but I like to play a defensive game, alot of quick pokes, counters, and I prefer to save a super move when for a guard crush, or when ya know it's just that "right moment". I seriously suck at trying to do any sort of combo, or breaking, I'm more into trying to anticipate, defend/counter.
I play my Rock almost exactly like I play my Terry in KOF, RISING TACKLE!!!

Eh, those combos are very easy...I pull those off in Garou and I don't really practice that game. Now one combo I would like to see someone do online is the 4 feint C's with Terry, into Buster Wolf (or possibly the entire guard crush string, into that 4 Feint C's into Buster Wolf).

You mean a random super on wakeup? How is doing such risky supers better than using it when you are guaranteed to hit with it (in a combo). Other than that, there are some really good supers to save for anti-air (Kevin's qcfx2+D which is an instant super), but other than that, it's too difficult to react to something and counter online.

Easy? Well...maybe if someone really practices them hard alot, or uses macro's or something, but they look pretty hard to me, although they do look quite tight when pulled off in such perfect succession. I can barely pull off Rock's 360 throw unless I use a D-Raging Run and perform the motion as I appear behind my oppenent, but then I'm never quick enough to break it successfully.
Ya lost me with your bit on Terry though. I have fought someone who did someting pretty funky with Terry and into a Buster Wolf though. It was too fast for me to figure out what it was before it hit me though lol. >_>

No, not random, just when ya know it's that right perfect moment to let one loose when your oppenent isnt expecting it, or when they have left themselves wide open, that's when I like to strike with one. Ya it's risky, but, it's worth a try, and I think taking risks are a pretty important aspect of any fighting game.
I know well enough that going with a super in a combo is the best and most guarenteed way to land a successful blow, but I don't have the know-how nor the precision to perform combo's like that, or at least in Garou anyways. It's just not how I play, and I doubt I could ever learn ethier, it's just not quite my style. I think I can kick enough bits of ass the way I currently play, ya know, I lose some, I win some. It's all good.
There was this guy that I was fighting a lil while ago that was really something else, although I dominated the first round with Rock, he made a really good comeback in the 2nd round, but I managed to take the win in the 3rd and final round. Then he pulled out Jae Hoon, and totally whooped me good for awhile until I changed to Hokutomaru, then it was alot of back and fourth, mixing it up with different characters. Just when it was starting to really heat up though, he had to leave. :(
He was totally mopping up the floor with me too around that time. Still, that guy was a good oppenent, he brought out the best in me! AHHHHWRRROOOOOUU!!!
So yeah, if anyone wants to play some Garou with me, stop by Anti3D.com sometime, I'd love to play!

Walk forward, then do qcb, up+C. That will make the 360 come out, and easy to do off a walk/run. After that, just hit AB only once and then the rest of that combo is easy (just wait a bit and do P-Power super). You can link a rising tackle after it, that doesn't require any advanced timing. As for the double Dong Hwan supers, after the first one, you simple do qcf, upforward, qcf+A and that will do it almost immediately after a jump.

But if the opponent is baiting you, then what you think is "the right perfect moment" is just a trap...risks are not important in any fighting game, or else the best players would not win consistently. Their fighting style will be inconsistent, because then any screwup with their risk would make them lose. Thus it is best to minimize risk...

Well you were using kawaks at the time...switch over to mame and I'll play.

Oi...everyone uses Mame, I personally dislike Mame's in-game menu's (I prefer Kawaks in the aspect that its so easy to configure)...but since everyone uses it, I guess it's time I jumped on the bandwagon, at least then I won't be waiting around for a Kawaks user, whom rarely come around much. I've also heard Mame doesnt like to de-sync much, especially with newer games, as whenever try to run KOF 2000 and up on Kawaks, me and my oppenent always de-sync after the first round or two. It's so bothersome. :(

Yeah that is true, but ya know, ya gotta risk it once in awhile, even if it means losing. When one plays a game, the action one takes are always a choice, you make some good ones, you make some bad ones, etc. Taking those risks play a large part of your playing experience in my opinion, but that's just me apart of the way I play, not just with fighting games ethier.. I always make dumb mistakes or risky moves, but I at least learn from them...most of the time. I apperciate the advice on performing Rock's and Dong's moves there, I'll keep them in mind when I practice.
Garou is truly a fun fighter, even though it has a pretty small cast, it's great because the gameplay is so fine tuned and balanced, and it's not too hard to learn to use a lil bit of every character. SNK Playmore needs to release another game in the series! Besides the gameplay, I like the storyline and character personalities alot too. =3

Do you think that this game can be played online with the dreamcast console using the broadband adapter and some kind of a game hack...Any info/ideas on this???
It would be nice to see this happening and also for the other fighting games the console has(MvC2,CvS2 e.t.c).And probably you will say: "Why don't you buy the PS2 version?" or "Why don't you MvC2 on XBOX Live?" or even "Why don't you use Netplay Emulation?(Well this is something that i am going to do sooner or later)" but the truth is that i enjoy playing the dreamcast fighting games and i was wondering if this is possible to happen for dreamcast through hacks or something like that in a way.

No prolly not, there were people running private servers for PSO, but that was a game that featured online play from the start, hacking the games to include internet support isn't easy, and you won't find anyone interested when these games (most of them at least) are available for online play with Xbox Live.
Closest you may get is being able to play DC games through emulator with people in years to come.
