Asuma has the same symbol as the guys from that fire temple worn around his waist in the same way (fire country symbol?)? What significance does that have? Is he one of the guardsmen, part of their religion, or is he part of some bigger organization?

They are definitaly drawing comparisons and parallels between Tobi and Naruto, but for what purpose?

And the most mysterious of all...

They captured the 3 tails, and say it was easy because it wasn't a jinchuuriki and it was just a dumb beast. But doesn't that go against the standard belief we all had, that being inside a person actually weakens the beast, not makes it stronger?

Sanbi was just dumb, no better than a giant animal. The Youko and Shuukaku were at least shown to be kind of intelligent--the Kyuubi much more so(and the fact that it is so intelligent may be part of the reason why it's so powerful, and why it's so hard to control even without using all of it's power).

For Bijuu like the Sanbi, having it's power used through a trained Shinobi would yield much better results when fighting such powerful enemy Shinobi.

“Catastrophe”
Asuma’s group reaches the fire temple.
Shikamaru finds traces of the Akatsuki there.
They find blood that is different than normal that seems to flow out from the body of a ninja using a secret ninjutsu (*likely Hidan’s blood).
Upon touching the blood someone says that it makes their skin tingle or burn. They determine that the blood is fairly fresh so the Akatsuki are likely still nearby.
Scene shifts to the Naruto(s) putting their in the waterfall while concentrating on “Wind nature manipulation…nature manipulation.” Kakashi notices something.
He signals to Yamato with his eyes to check something out. Yamato then goes off in the direction Kakashi looked at.
Asuma remarks, “I got a bad feeling about this.” At the same time Yamato is headed in the same direction that Asuma’s group is. Both Yamato and Asuma’s group end up in an open area after leaving the forest.
It’s there that they see the bodies of many dead jounin. They also see Hidan (who’s wrapping up his ritual) and Kakuzu.

With Kakashi’s comment that, “Even the boy genius Sasuke took quite a few days to get the hang of lightning nature manipulation back when Kakashi was teaching him the Chidori”

Naruto remarks, “I gotta catch up to Sasuke.”

それを聞いたカカシはヤマトに耳打ちし滝も左右に広がってナルトが乗っかってた丸太みたいなの も左右に伸び る
*Upon hearing this, Kakashi whispers something in Yamato’s ear and the waterfall gets a whole lot wider. The platform that Naruto had been standing on also gets a whole lot wider. (*Yamato basically stretches out the waterfall and the platform to motivate Naruto)

時間は夜（三日月）
カカシ・ナルト・サスケ・サクラの４人の映った写真を眺める

*Scene changes to Sakura’s room
It’s the evening and there’s a crescent moon in the sky.
