That line has been debated a ton, even in this thread. Most people seem to agree that he wasn't saying the 2 of them couldn't take on Jiriya and survive.

However, Sasuke has a chance to succeed where no others do vs Itachi... his own Sharingan makes him immune to all the shit (theoretically... assuming he has more power with his eye than Kakashi had back in the day) that Itachi is used to throwing around town. Might catch him off guard.

He wasn't exactly at 100%, he fled Konoha when talk of more reinforcements was made due to the condition that Tsukuyomi left him in(as Kakashi pointed out in their second confrontation), and his encounter with Jiraiya and Naruto didn't take place too long after that.

I don't think an essay is necessary here, Sasuke has simply shown more versatility in his combat. And it's been strongly implied through his feats in the past few chapters that he is at a higher level than even Kakashi, who believes that Naruto is at the same tier.

Plus, Naruto still has more training to do, he's only half way done with his new technique. It's guaranteed that he's going to gain whatever he needs to compete with, and/or surpass Sasuke when he's done. And now that Jiraiya is back in town, and Naruto's injury is steadily healing, it's possible that Jiraiya will sit in on his TKB training and hand down more of his techniques to Naruto, now that he actually has a fast way to learn them. And with him receiving training from both Yondaime's master and student, it's possible that the groundwork of Yondaime's Hiraishin no Jutsu will be passed on to Naruto pretty soon. Incorporating that technique in his fighting style will be a ridiculous upgrade for the boy.

Juugo said that Sasuke was the strongest since Kimimaro. I believe Sasuke, as he is now, is a couple of steps ahead of where a healthy Kimimaro used to be though.

It hasn't been made entirely clear how strong Juugo is, we don't even know if he's been properly trained as a Shinobi.

Got some questions about the Naruto games already released for the GameCube and PS2. How are the Ultimate Hero and Clash of Ninja games? I'm not looking for a traditonal fighting game but a solid Naruto game.

I've only played through part 1 of the PS2 Version, but I went and got Part 4 imported of the Gamecube Version. The PS2 version is pretty much like a one button mash fesh, with chains being Circle -> Circle -> Up+Circle as opposed to Circle -> Circle -> Down+Circle. I find myself getting bored after only a few matches (I havent played through part 3 or 4, so not sure how the gameplay changed down the line)

The Gamecube Version, on the other hand, is a lot of fun. Its 3d, which I typically don't care for, but it fits the naruto characters better. You get 2 different attack buttons here (still fairly simple) each mapped to 5 different attacks (neutral, up, down, left, right), and a button for throws, a button for supers, and even a juggle cancel mechanic that lets you make flashy combos. There are also links, cancels, 2v2 mode (more fluff than anything), and in general is a fairly solid game to play.

Essentially, the 4th's Hiraishin no Jutsu is a self-summoning jutsu. The user marks an area with a tag or something and can then instantly "summon" themselves to the mark, without making a sound or smoke or anything.

I'd say Naruto definitely should. It might seem a bit broken if you think tags + mass kage bushin, which would allow Naruto to teleport just about anywhere easily.

However, whenever Naruto does get a powerup, it has major drawbacks. A high enough Kyuubi shortens Naruto's life span, and his new Wind Release: Spiraling Sphere breaks his arm. It's about time he gets something that doesn't beat the shit out of him in the process.

Where's the curse seal drawbacks? Seems like free power to me. I think I read that using it too much will destoy a person's mind and make them go mad, but Sasuke hasn't seemed to have reached that point.

I dunno, teaching everyone Kage Bushin first would be the most logical step I would think.

Then they can make the clones during class so they get the benefit of learning the same thing multiple times over. Even if they only had 1 clone, that'd be enough to have a similar experience of sitting through the same class twice.

Remember when kakashi had then running up trees for training. Had Sasuke and Naruto used kage bushin, they would have learned it in at least half the time

in terms of character evolution, no. Because we all knew it was going to happen. It was predictable and not out of character nor an evolution in my eyes. You constantly insulting me doesnt prove you right. It just proves your an asshole and your attempts of e-thuggery are lame.

Naruto went from being a complete dumbass with lots of powers to a more smarter and stronger ninja. He went on to think out his battles more instead of rushing in. He also gave up his ideas of being with sakura.

Sauske has been the same character since the beginning. We was obviously willing to do w/e it took to get to his brother. A character evolution to me would be something like giving up plans of killing his brother and going back home or him trying to join his brother.

The death of orochimaru isnt a dramtic enough change since it was obvious it was going to happen. He has grown in strength but thats the only change for him. Nothing personality wise.

Tayjuu variation is essentially the same except you're putting in more chakra to make more clones.

So again, that makes no sense to have Kage Bushin as ok, but Tayjuu is bad, when the only difference is the amount of chakra you use in the jutsu to make more clones.

I dunno, it seems like there is no flaw. The only one that might exist is putting more chakra than you already have into it which could kill you. But thats possible with any technique that uses chakra anyway. So why just ban Kage Bushin? Through that line of logic, any chakra based technique would be banned.

The thing is, we were lead to believe beforehand that Sasuke had completely fallen, that he wanted Orochimaru to take his body all this time, and that he had become an emotionless killer--to the extent that he would mercilessly cut down two of his closest friends on nothing more than a whim.

Now we see that he has been planning on killing Orochimaru ever since he came to him three years ago. That he was never cool with the way Orochimaru did things. That he did not allow Orochimaru's influence, or the mind-warping effects of the Cursed Seal to overcome his psyche. That he does not kill needlessly(not even crazy Cursed Seal usin' prisoners of the Northern Hideout they're in now), which makes his claim of killing Naruto and Sakura on a whim somewhat questionable. His growth hasn't stifled because of the Cursed Seal like Kakashi claimed before, his has been strong enough to overcome it's effects, and strong enough to even overwhelm the dimension of Orochimaru's body transfer ritual--a dimension that was created by, and belonged to Orochimaru.

Basically: Sasuke hasn't become as weak-willed and evil as Kishimoto had lead us to believe. He's shown us a lot more than just a small glimmer of hope for his character, whereas he had practically none without the prospect of an ass-beatin' from Naruto several volumes ago.

This is a far bigger change in character development than Naruto simply becoming a smarter Ninja--folks here expected that much when he first came back to Konoha at the beginning of Part 2. Come now.

On a somewhat related note: Stabby has told me a couple of times that Kishimoto shouldn't have named this series after Naruto. Before, I didn't really think it mattered. But now, I think it would've been for the best if he had named it after something more... General? Something that didn't really center on anything related to Naruto specifically. This way, while Naruto remained the protagonist of the story, his character development and effect on the rest of the supporting cast would have been a bit more... Acceptable. Yeah.

Look at the raw scan, the character for Tajyuu, "多", is there. It just wasn't included in the translation. Simple mistake.

Tayjuu variation is essentially the same except you're putting in more chakra to make more clones.

I dunno, it seems like there is no flaw. The only one that might exist is putting more chakra than you already have into it which could kill you. But thats possible with any technique that uses chakra anyway. So why just ban Kage Bushin? Through that line of logic, any chakra based technique would be banned.
Not every technique requires such a horrendous amount of chakra, not every technique can continue to be pumped up with that much chakra. We were told earlier on that kneading too much chakra for certain techniques can cause them to fail, and put the user at risk due to the waste of chakra(which is what many in the community assumed Naruto was doing with Bunshin no Jutsu at the beginning of the series, explaining why he was doing so horrible with that particular technique, but learning Tajyuu Kage Bunshin later that night).

The Orochimaru and Sasuke conflict isn't over by a long shot. Oro is simply incapacitated and locked up in the mind of Sasuke. One of these days, if everything goes right, we'll see Orochimaru locked in battle with Sasuke again. Kishimoto left this opportunity open.

Remember, Naruto has only done his crack training for a short period of time. Who knows how long Sasuke has been drugged up on Oro's steroid training program. It's just a pity that Kishi doesn't elaborate on Sasuke's negatives, such as his training methods. While Naruto's training method isn't sqeaky clean, he was forced to train this way because of Sasuke. Unfortunately for Sakura, she pulls the short straw again. How will she accelerate her training in order to compete with her compadres?

Deidara did get his arm owned by garaa which you would think would kill any other normal ninja. (wonder if he's like "made" of clay) But at the same time he peaced out garaa and would have taken out a whole village. Plus he wasn't taking the fight seriously he was rushing the whole time trying to get please Sasori. Sasori pretty much committed suicide... Not only that he fought the worst possible match up he could fight. Two medical nin's one that looks like they got the fighting skills of plus she is a puppet master and the other that has super strength . If he didn't just "give up" that fight he woulda won in the long run.

Itachi and Kasime are crazy broken as well One with massive charaka and the other with the shiringan but i wonder how effect the "eyes" would be on sasori or if they'd work at all? Kiasime is a beast and all but i don't know if he could stand up to the puppts traps and possibly not being able to seal up sasori's chakra... Deidra has bombs... He makes bombs and can fly... broken no matter how you put it.

I honestly don't think two and a half years of training will be enough to beat someone as skilled as Itachi. Since Sasuke's bringing 4 people, though, a 4-on-2 may level the fight a bit more. still though...

His transformation to the dark side will be complete, and he will take his rightful place in the Akatsuki until episode 6, when his old friend will get him to overthrow the akatsuki leader at the last minute, then die from wounds inflicted in the fight?


The problem I have with Deidara is that he seems to fight rushed too, like Naruto, only with more skills to back it up. That fight is fresher in my mind after having watched the anime recently, but Gaara used the last of his energy to save the village instead of himself. The argument could be made that he too sacrificed himself, like Sasori. Gaara was strong, but he had already been bested by Sasuke (in the arena, not a full fight) and Naruto earlier in the series.

Sasori, on the other hand, was good (hell EVERYONE in akatsuki has to be top tier), but he still hasn't shown the same beasting skills that Itachi/Kisame has in practice. Gai has bested Kisame twice... if besting includes opening his gates and high-tailing it out of there. Since Kisame is about stealing chakra, and Gai/Rock tend to be about Taijutsu more than Ninjutsu, it seems like they'd have a good shot at Beating Kisame, so it doesn't seem fair to base Kisames skills on that fight. Are there any fights we get to see Kisame at his best?

Now, look at Kakashi. He has faced Itachi and Deidara. What were the results? Against Itachi, caught in the Mango and forced to endure tons of pain, before his backup arrived and bailed him out. Versus Deidara, he managed to own him hands down. Kakashi is a well known, high level ninja with a good baseline for measuring other ninjas strengths. The problem I have with Deidara is that he seems to fight rushed too, like Naruto, only with more skills to back it up. Since Kisame is about stealing chakra, and Gai/Rock tend to be about Taijutsu more than Ninjutsu, it seems like they'd have a good shot at Beating Kisame, so it doesn't seem fair to base Kisames skills on that fight. Are there any fights we get to see Kisame at his best?

Im a gaara fan, but this is a hard fight for garaa anyway you swing it. It really could go any which way in theory.

We techinally haven't seen Deidara fight at his best either. While sasori we did somewhat, but at the same time he kinda just gave up. (which he really had to, guy was way to overpowered "magnetic sand" thats poisonous lol thats not overpowered at all..... ) And correct me if im wrong wasn't he like immune or resistant to jitsu's because of literally being a puppet.

He didn't really own deidara...I mean he had one arm no clay was weaken from fighting garaa and traveling and was running away with garaa. Kakashi basically used the most powerful move he had or has shown sofar and only manage to take out his other arm. Which seriously injured himself.... Didn't matter. The point is that Naruto took him out in one hit. Kakashi's work didn't matter. Without Kakashi doing a damn thing, Naruto still wins that battle in one hit. Shika handled the other dude all by himself.

The Hidan/Kakazu team is pretty strong, I mean, without Shika there, how would they handle Hidan? Did you not read the whole manga? Naruto was an outcast before teaming up with Sasuke and Sakura. Sasuke is like a brother to him.

If Naruto had killing intent to match is chakra level he probably wouldn't need a team. I doubt anyone in the series even comes close to having as much chakra as he does. Kisame is probably way back in second.

Sasori turned out to be his killer, and had converted the Third's body into his strongest puppet, which he used against Chiyo and Sakura Haruno, and was destroyed in the same battle.

This jutsu, created by Sasori, allows the puppeteer to turn a living human into a puppet. First, the entrails are removed. Then, once the skin has been peeled off, the user cleanses them and draws out all of the blood. Once the bodies are preserved so they do not decompose, various gadgets are then installed inside of them. Because the puppet was once human, it can still use chakra. The puppet will maintain the same amount of chakra as its held when it was alive. If the original ninja had any kekkei genkai or other blood-based traits, like the Third Kazekage's Iron Sand, the puppet can retain those abilities as well.




The Third had a special genetic trait that allowed him to turn the chakra he molded into magnetic forces. This ability allowed him to create his iron sand, based on the jutsu used by the previous host of Shukaku. It is unknown if this was a kekkei genkai ability or wholly unique to the Third.

This jutsu was created by the Third Kazekage based on techniques used by one of the previous hosts of Shukaku. By converting his chakra into magnetic forces, the Third Kazekage could mold iron powder into any shape he desired.

After the Third Kazekage was turned into a puppet by Sasori, the latter was able to use his Iron Sand ability in much the same manner. The Iron Sand used by Sasori was also highly poisonous, which Sasori probably added himself.

Does anyone else have the feeling that hidan will be back?
I think that maybe Zetsu will be able to go where hes at and dig him out. sure shiki said only his people can get there but its Akatsuki and we all know they are broken as shit. As far as I can tell Zetsu is able to travel far distances by immerssing himself in nature, so why not be able to find hidan?

Haku's death was good, so was Zabuza's, Kimmaro's death was just a plot device to make Gaara look stronger. It was okay, but kinda lame. He was a really cool character. Gaara should have at least like Sanded out his eye balls or something.

All in the all the new story is looking good so far, but so did the finding sasuke arc and Itachi/Kisame battle arc, then they just ended really really meh.

I still have the terrible aftertaste of the Hidan/Kazuku fight in my mouth.

I hope Naruto's team has Jiraya in it, that would be some dope shit.

Was that the one where they talk about "dying if they both fought him", that has been the center of a lot of debate? Because if so, I dont think the english translation bothered to touch it. Kisame just makes a crack about how they do a lot of running away, and Itachi says that the techniques he used made him extremely weak.

The 3rd movie wasn't bad. Better than the sec one as a whole. Fights weren't as great but over all because of the movie the where "more dramatic" I liked it. Its cool to see naurto beast.
