How do you guys define strength manga? If you are talking about raw power I would think Naruto, Kisame, and Jiyra are tops.

If define strength in terms of how much raw power a character has, the amount of ninja arts they know, and smarts Then there are a couple that would be toptier.

I wonder if the series will ever touch on Naruto's parents. Kishi could just be planning to leave it out all together but I'd really like to know about his folks. The umblical cord was just cut when Naruto was sacrifieced for the vessel for Kyuubi, so what happend to his mom? Was she somehow killed when the demon fox attacked?

Also, even without Kyuubi's aid, just why does Naruto have so much chakara? Kikashi said his normal chakara is double that of his own. I mean, Naruto was able to creat 1,999 clones during the fight with Gaara. I suppose when there is a crissis at hand, he can really muster up a lot of it. But he still has a lot of normal chakara even when this isn't the case. Must have come from his folks. I wonder if Naruto could summon Gama Bunta with his own chakara now. Would be boss if he could.

The Fourth must have had a sick amount of chakara if he could summon Gama Bunta. I still think it is possible that The Fourth could be Naruto's father. I mean, why seal the Kyuubi inside of him? Probably could have picked a ton of other kids.

So many questions that I want answered.

nah, you forgot about the five to eight chapters of mandatory shit talking and strategy planning, plus the warning to Naruto not to use "that" jutsu. :lol: of course, a flashback or two will take place and somewhere around the end of july or the start of august, the punches will be thrown and the bodies will hit the floor.

IIRC Oro couldn't take his body. That doesn't mean he straight out wins. That means he has a defense against Oro's body-snatching Jutsu. And as far as *weakened* Orochi vs Sasuke, you know that shit isn't done yet.

I'd forgotten that some of Naruto's own chakra is used to reject some of Kyuubi's chakra, which is where his lack of chakra control steems from. Man, just think of how much more dope Naruto could be if he didn't have to use some of his chakra to reject the demon fox chakra.

I think it sucks that Naruto is still ranked as a Genin. However, he's got skills that are on (possibly above) Jonin level.

Actually Naruto had to use the demon fox chakra to summon Gama Bunta the first time. He had exhausted all of his normal chakra so he had to rely on Kyuubi's in order boss frog. Also, in the fight with Gaara, Naruto used up all his chakra creating the 1,999 clones to do that 2K hit combo. Of course he was 12-13 then. Now that he's 15, his normal chakra supply has probably grown, maybe to the point where he can call Gama Bunta with just his regular chakra.

actually, i believe he was using the kyuubi's chakra...Jiraiya specifically tired Naruto out to the point where he had none of his own chakra left.

During jiraiya training, naruto was trained to control the kyuubi chakra...which they have now turned to nothing since kakashi/yamato told him to use his own chakra instead.

hmmm...i never thought about it like that. Looking at it from that perspective does make it seem "unclear" however, Itachi or any other Akatsuki members shown didnt seem to respect Oro all that much...

As for the Neji vs. SpiderNin....i think i neji said that he was the strongest opponent he has ever faced, not so much that he was stronger. If i remember correctly Spidernin was just hiding and tryin to snipe because he was scared of neji's cqc.

This is one of those episodes that should've gotten a bit more money thrown at it. Oodama Rasengan and Asa Kujaku were both a disappointment.

Done with Shippuden for now. Y'all let me know when we get another episode on Sasuke vs Orochimaru/Lee vs Gaara/Naruto vs Sasuke's standards. Y'know, from the A Team. Animation has been ruining some of these fights I had high expectations of.

Manga: We got one or two likely spoiler summaries from two unfamiliar sources, so nothing's been confirmed. Guy that usually posts short summaries of Naruto, while doing so for a number of other series earlier today(Bleach and OP included, iirc), did not do so for Naruto this week... Which is odd.

I watched ep 15 again and Both moves could have been animated better. I was just feeling the moment. I really like that theme--which i call the kakashi teaches theme..lol. I thought it sounded cool when kakashi was doing the different elemental jutsu's with that theme in the background

But Star i always wondered the same thing about the damage of the move. Like would the 6th gate be able to kill a 100% Kisame.

Damn poor writing with the power levels.

Didn't watch 15 but i heard it had the same deal as 14....the drawings are fine and the animation could have easily been smoother, but they appear to be holding animation frames on the screen longer to not only draw fights out, but take up more episodes in some lame attempt to draw the series out....contrary to what dave chapelle thinks, everything is not cooler in slow motion....EVERYTHING is in super slow slow-mo....very let down by this...these were supposed to be top tier episodes....

Yes. But due to the fact that their strength, and techniques were limited by the amount of chakra they handed over to the sacrifices, it's debateable if either of them could be put in a scenario where they can be easily hit by either of those techniques.

Gai's Asa Kujaku is in Naruto Accel not NH3... and I agree, the episodes are dragging the fights out too long. If they continue this, sakura and chiyo's fight with sasori will take 10 eps

as for the length of the fights, i really dont mind cos the story is being told properly, thats why i like this anime its more like a martial arts novel, the quality is being thought about instead of mindless action and fan service story, kishi is most likely extremely proud of how its turned out

For some reason, I don't want to outright agree with this. here's why. I'm sure that it would leave even Itachi in terrible shape if it were to connect, but remember that the person it hit wasn't anywhere near Itachi's level. I guess I'm saying it's the same as hitting mystique when she's disguised as wolverine compared to hitting the actual wolverine with a baseball bat. you'll get a completely different response depending on which one you hit. as for Itachi being put in a position to be hit by it? I wouldn't put my money on it. he deflected Sasuke's attempt at a raikiri at the LAST second and didn't even look like he was sweating it. even Kakashi couldn't hit him with it and it's his move. Still, skills and power levels mean nothing if the writer wants you dead in that chapter. after all, scrub sakura w/old lady assist > Sasori. :sad:

@rodimus the thing I'm wondering is, would he even be able to use that move on Kisame. remember that crazy sword he carries around? the one that eats chakra? the %30 clone probably had a forgery of it, even if it did seem to pull the ol' fangs in the handle trick on Gai. Still, Gai did catch the REAL Kisame with a boot to the head on their first meeting, so I still say it could very well end it for even Kisame. that sword is the only x factor that could change the decision of the fight IMO.

well, it looks like the groups are more specialized now. Team 8 looks to be more of a scouting/searching group where as team 9 and team gai are attack squads.

so it's not really saying which team is "stronger". its' about what team is doing what.

Well imo, although I like the concept of the "A" team they have for the most part been a disappointment. That's what I get for expecting some glamorous battle or
pimpology. The golden rule as they say, the more baddies on a team the more likely some of them are going to get punked with ease. Right now the mangas kinda 50/50 on this though.

Deidara/Sasori = Not the greatest (Sasori) but Deidaras was fine.
Hidan/Kakuzu = Sort of Bleh, and definately Bleh.

Hidan seemed like a quick excuse to give Shika more panels and Kakuzu obviously was there to sell a new toy. It's as if almost no thought was put into these two, more like eh, here's some outlandish powers which we'll never come close to explaining and some PNJ. (Haven't used that term in a long time)

Now granted I wasn't a fan of their designs, do you think Kishi wasn't either?

I would also give the edge to Kabuto, He has the healing factor in place also, His skills are on par w/ Kakashi as noted by Orochimaru. Also Tsunade noted that His skills at his age also surpassed her own at that time. Plus given that trump card everyone is saying he has some type of. "Blood limit". Note when his glasses cracked and his eyes were all red. Just something about him that makes me think he's not going to die anytime soon.

Actually a death of one of team eight could be seen as important if and only if it were Sasuke who kills them and Kishi doesn’t want to give Sasuke any hope for redemption (Returning to the Leaf). If making Sasuke into a villain is Kishi’s ultimate plan, having him kill off Kiba, Shino or (god forbid) post-confession Hinata would make Naruto realize that Sasuke isn’t coming back to the Leaf, and he’ll have to fight him seriously and to the death.

But that wont happen.

PS: Kabuto better get some pages in the next arc. Kabuto v Shika, if done correctly, could be one of the greatest fights in Naruto history. Here's hoping Kishi can see the potential.

well, I have to disagree on two of these. first, I'm pretty sure the hyuga story isn't done at all. they wouldn't keep putting either Neji or Hinata on the screen and in the book if it was. I think if Kabuto gets in on him it would be GGPO shika. you'd think it works in shika's favor not having to stretch his shadow to get a target, but someone like Kabuto moves too damn quick. unless he could stretch his shadow out like a black hole on the ground, kabuto will get him with the scalpel. however, Shika doesn't stand still that long unless he's planning something. that's usually when the bomb drops on his enemy. I won't go into hidan being wack because I quite simply don't know where to begin. if he would've shut up and fought, I think he would've gone a lot further. most people think that if the fight gets drawn out that it would favor Shika, but I can't whole-heartedly agree. both of them are good at thinking and planning during a fight, so I don't know which one would have an advantage if it were to drag out. the only real problem I'd see is shika running out of chakra to form the shadow strangle. if that happens, Kabuto will soon be on that ass.

this part is simple. Whoever sets up the battleground in this case will have an immense advantage. Kabuto would have the whole damn place boobytrapped if you go to his place. Shika? anyplace with shadows is a boobytrap from which you aren't likely to walk out of alive. if it were to happen on neutral territory, I'd give a slight edge to shikamaru due to the nature of his main weapon.

all in all, this would be a fight to take number 1 with ease. :tup:

I'm still not impressed with them though. and what I meant by him using it one-handed is if he, not him and the clones, were doing it one handed. he's been using rasengan for a while now. with the amount of practice he's known for, he should be able to at least cough up a rasengan without clones by now. yeah, I would say that the fuuton would give him some trouble yet, but at least the base rasengan shouldn't be much harder than the KBs for him. it's almost as if his amount of practice comapared to others is comparable to a person who rides ten miles on a bike in first gear compared to the person who's using fifth, seventh, etc. except he's the one in fifth gear and only getting the results of someone in first. they've got him going nowhere fast and he's the main character. Just let him have some improvement at least at the level he was going up to the point where they killed the third. That would please the masses IMO.

Well Jiraya was refering to Naruto transforming when he was talking about "that jutsu". Theres no other jutsu that naruto uses besides that Rasengan he recently learned.

I think the problem was a mistranslation. Watching the anime, Jiraiya clearly said not to use "that power".

At this point, I could understand why Naruto would still have to use clones to do a rasengan. It's because we know (from Jiraiya) that it took the 4th Hokage 3 years to perfect it. And by perfecting it, I mean to manifest one with ease just like how Jiraiya has demonstrated in past episodes.

Obviously, if it took such a badass dude 3 years to establish a jutsu, it's gonna be even harder for a douche like Naruto to do it right. Since we know that the time-skip covered about 2 years and that there was a reasonably long filler-span between when Naruto first was introduced to the jutsu, up until the occurence of the time-skip, it's safe to say that Naruto has been using/practicing with the rasengan for only a little under 3 years. It's to say that Naruto has yet to master it like Jiraiya has.
