unless naruto is INSANELY fast and strong on the level of a CS2 creature like kimimaro, I can't even give him a hope. It looked more of an even battle the first time they started going all out and even then he nearly got killed.

It's hard to decide, but I'm leaning towards Shino. He's shown enough smarts to pose a challenge Shika, and bugs > kagemane.

Deidara is based on that particular artist--"Art is a bang" also originated from him. The piece above was originally small, and enlarged to what you see above later on for an art expo, similar to how Deidara's creations are enlarged after kneadin' them up with his mouths.
Guy who wrote up the summary also mentioned that there will be a double chapter for Shounen Jump #36(same chapter as the previous issue). So three weeks from now, there will be no new chapter.

I remember awhile back that somebody brought up the fact that all the akatsuki we had seen so far had some sort of Life Prolonging Jutsu, aka striving immortality. Deidara was one that didnt really seem to fit this theory... and yet now we see him with Kakuzu stitchings on his heart, meaning he probably has some sort of "kakuzu" jutsu to help keep him alive longer. We can also clearly see his arms stitched back together like a zombie.

Probably not having to sleep a third of his life away like most humans due to sharks not sleeping and having a life force/chakra net that's ridiculously large, even larger than Naruto the Demon Tank's.

In regards to that, if all of the Akatsuki have them, then I can see Zetsu being a similar "my non-human appearance is based off something long-lived", but I have to wonder what Itachi's is other than "Sharigan is God".

Of course, Deidara really does not have to fit the pattern anyway since his style of art was all short-lived and so was his few on life.

While its true that we dont know of anything currently that prolongs itachis life, we also don't know anything that prolonged deidaras until this last chapter... if, in fact, that is what the stitching over his heart was for. Seems kind of weird that there was a mouth coming out of his chest... I dont see why that would be where his heart would be, except that it lets him get explosives throughout his own body. But it does lend itself to some sort of zombie theory.

And while I can buy that Kakuzu is the one who stitched his arms back together, it still means he could have done some other crazy body medical jutsu stuff on dei, itachi, kisame, or numerous other akatsuki. I mean, if you're gonna be confident enough to go up against the tailed demons, it's best to have some sort of insurance (aka immortality).

Sasuke's actually pretty badass, as was trying to subdue Deidara. If he had been trying to kill him it might not have been as hard for him as he would've went for his "that jutsu" as soon as Dei busted out the C3 dragon. He wouldn't have even gotten to use C4.

As for saving, I think Tobi might actually save him. He's got that transparency thing, is close enough to reach Sasuke and is ambiguous enough to save him from a reason we'll all ponder until it's revealed.

Lets not forget the most important thing, Dei has been plotting (aka training) all this time to kill itachi. So its not like dei doesn't know what he's up against, and if not for Sasuke being lighting elemental, then dei would have been killed him. Possibly itachi too.

Sasuke fighting dei is a good match up especially since now we know dei has been preparing to fight itachi again someday. So Sasuke having to go all out makes good sense, and it puts him far from trash.

Sofar Only Sasori, Dei, Itachi and Kisame seem to live up to the hype of there group. Sasori and Dei being completely broken its no way anyone could stand up to those to guys together.

i agreed with phoenix when we first were bringing this up...Looking at it from his perspective Itachi and Kisame (who are beast) seem kinda small to dei and Sasori (especially sasori)

I could argue for my boy Sasori but in all honesty he'd lose. Now there is speculation as to whether genjutsu would work on him considering his circulatory system. Putting that aside it depends on how my boy starts the fight. In hiruku I believe he's as good as dead. This is assuming Itachi has nothing that can break Hiruku (he probably does) he'd just blink and burn his ass. If he started with the Kazekage it's really a matter of will Itachi get to Sasori in time. The puppet army I'm not even going to really get into (exploding bushins, and other forms of mass destruction, while he b-lines to the actual Sasori)....the three other scrolls on Sasoris back are a hmm factor though. Sasoris secret would be mute tho since Sasuke saw chakra through the dirt, I'm sure Itachi would see Sasoris heart.

That and lets face it, Deidara and Sasori are all about SPAM, spam kills nothing in mangas. Count in the Sharingan gameshark and he'll navigate the shit like he's playing space harrier on easy.

Sharingan wins.

Now to the team aspect.
Kisame can take Deidara, make a lake and
shoot him with water dragons n shit out of the air.

The only person who could probably take Itachi is AL. And that's only pure speculation since we haven't seen AL do anything, and there's gotta be some reason why Itchy's following his orders.

If you look at Itchy, you've already lost. If you somehow manage to NOT look at Itachi, then he burns you to death with the black fire. And that's not mentioning the gazillion other stuff he has to know thanks to the Sharingan/already being a genious elite ninja BEFORE that stuff.

But honestly, he's got the Sharingan, and Kishimoto has let us know that in the Naruto world, Sharingan is GOD H4X. Sharingan is the RCP-90 with unlimited ammo. Sharingan is CvS2 Sagat holding Cable's Hyper Viper Beam. Sharingan is like unlocking MvC2 Magneto in COTA.

It's just sad that the Akatsuki were made out to be these badass group of elite ninjas, and yet we've had 4 of them (almost half!) get punked out by Genins/Chuunins.

I'm one of the few who doesn't think Sasuke was all bullshit when he told Orochimaru he was stronger than him, and had nothing more to learn from him. He knows that Itachi is stronger than Orochimaru, and he's going for Itachi right now; he wouldn't have taken this course of action based soley on his win over a gimped Orochimaru.
