Seriously, was it Kishi's original plan to make those Uchiha eyes that powerful? I'd like to see Batman step in there and merc Itachi and Sasuke. Both of 'em would be like "But how...?" Bats would like "I got two words for you: Prep. Time."

So is Naruto and Kyubi's chakara gonna become one like they said in the manga back in part I? I wonder if Kishi forgot about that. I mean, its not like he forgot about those broken mothers known as the Uchihas. :bluu:

I think its about time Naruto himself built up a rep for being a dangerous dude, even moreso than his pappa was. When Minato showed up the enemy was like "OH SNAP!" Even if they were sitting on the can, they wouldn't finish taking that dump. Minato appeas= automatic lose for the bad guys. Its that simple. But I can't help but feel Naruto will get to this point as long as Kishi continues to suck the nuts of the Sharrigan users.

Starhammer, I've got about 4 more eps to go in part I before Naruto gets back to the manga-based stories. I gotta say, I didn't mind that ep where Naruto and co went to help out on some long distance race. Well its part I of a series of eps in that filler so I could end up hating it later.

More on filler. I was reading some of the ep summaries at LeafNinja and MAN, do some of these, a lot of 'em just sound like absolute CRAP! Like the anime staff just bent someone over and pull this stuff out of someone's butthole. And 84 eps of it? Man. Don't know if I can take all that. But, I honestly do want to see the NaruHina moments. Kishi is denying me the goods in the manga so I'll take all that I can get. Heck, some of those moments will probably be better than the crappy plot of the fillers.

Now that Hinata knows that Naruto's body is the host of the demon fox, I wonder just what she thinks of it all. I mean, it obviously hasn't put a dent in her feelings for him in the least, but now that she knows of the reason that he was an outcast, what will she say to him exactly?

Sasuke 'nullified' the Kyuubi during the reunion iirc. Naruto swore off the Kyuubi's chakra anyhow, so it's anyone's guess on how Naruto can possibly counter the Sharingan without the Kyuubi's help.

In that instance naruto was already rejecting kyubi, at this point it's tough to say wether or not sasuke could suppress 4 tailed naruto.
Naruto still uses K chakra, when ever he has slit eye's he's using it. See kakuzu(sp) fight.

there's no problem countering sharingan with brute force if you don't get caught in the genjutsu. gai's countering of kakashi with taijutsu shows this. but really,raw power/willpower beats everything, just like sasuke "defeated" orochimaru with pure willpower, it's not inconceivable that a mangekyo user won't eventually get defeated inside their own genjutsu.

yeah, but THIS time it'll be the "real thing". You'll be able to recognize the signs.

They meet.

random calling out of each other's name with some powering up

trade a few blows that are the equivalent of a pair of six-year olds throwing rolls of tissue in terms of power. (note: if it is a group battle, this will go on for six chapters minimum)

shit talking while powering-up. the flashbacks start. You may wish to check out some other anime at this time or your fate will be sealed for the next three months.

FINALLY some action and some better fighting. (If it's a team battle, separate members of each team may split off to do battle in other areas now that they've gotten to know each other)

............back to the shit-talking. (maybe a month or so this time)

someone lands a heavy-blow. usually the "bad-guy"

the person getting hit will remark on the strength and improvement of the attacker, then whip out something to own the previous attack, there-by causing the remark of strength on the other side. (team battle rules: they will switch to one of the other fights at this time)

return to the main battle, where more shit talking and powering-up will occur.

another fight. this time they're GETTING serious. (note: not quite there yet)

ANOTHER good hit. TIME FOR A FLASHBACK (A.K.A. I hope you have a back-up anime to watch by now.)

bad guy...........WHOA!! He's SERIOUS! I better use.........."that" jutsu.

Good guy(about a month later).............WHOA!! He's SERIOUS! I better use.........."that" jutsu

other random characters in the area...................WHOA!! Someone got SERIOUS!! They're using................"that" Jutsu.

someone's dog about ten miles away(not akamaru)..............WOOF WOOF WOOF WOOF!!!.................(DAMN!! my balls are itching again! Someone has used..................Ah!! fresh water finally!! took your damn time!!!)

"that" jutsu hits, but is INEFFECTIVE!! :wow:

bad guy..........heh. I'll bet you're wondering why that was ineffective. (cue to.................SHIT TALKING via LONG ASS EXPLAINATION!!!!)

good guy.............so. it's THAT way is it? (flashback to training) !!!!!!!!!!!Wait!! I just remembered something that would've saved us all a TON of time if I had just done this two years ago when this shit started!!! (starts powering-up)

bad guy.............ah well. it's about two months since I started explaining this shit so I guess now I'll kill you..................:wow: wait!! this is impossible!! how did you survive!!!

good guy.............(insert something cool here before final blast goes off)

*both get smashed so hard that it starts raining after the heroes fall to the ground.*

bad guy...................You.....beat...........me... .........

good guy................yep. PWNED!!!!!!!!

*both teams show up half dead and pick up their leaders. somehow, getting away from the good guys.*

finally, the OTHER team who was there to help the main good guy arrives............too late...............again.

*in the background, a silent figure looms. an air of deadly intent surrounding them...............*

I think the rooftop fight was to show Naruto's growth.

Sasuke had been sleeping on Naruto for the longest and then when he learned Chidori he probably assumed that he was way far ahead of Naruto in growth.

Then when Naruto blew that Water twoer up from the BACK out Sasuke reacted as in

"WTF,this nigga is stronger than me"

Sasuke got what was coming to him for the longest.

I guess we need to give Kishi some doubt.. I understand Starhammer and The Damned's views.. a lot of shit has seemed ::wtf:: lately .. But the guy knows what he's doing.. we might not like it, but I doubt he's just writing out his ass. He does this shit for a living.

As for Sharingan.. I too am sick of hearing about it. However, to complain that it's broken and ruins the manga is something different. Kishi has us perfectly set up at this point. The Sharingan is the be-all end-all of powers. It's the blood-line of all blood-lines. But what's the point of the manga? Hard work > inbred free power. You might be born a genius and that makes you elite. But a hard worker can surpass that.

How is naruto going to get around the Sharingan? I don't know.. Pein seems related to him, and he's got some eyes that do SOMETHING. Maybe Naruto can get those eyes. But why is Pein being commanded by Madara? Does that mean Sharingan > whatever Pein has? Maybe... Either way, I still think the manga is worth following. If he destroys the series, than so be it - but I at least want to see how it ends.

And WTF. I want to see more of Shino. We don't see him do enough and he seems like such a badass.. Maybe he can stick some of his bugs in Madara's eyes and eat out his skull.

HAHHAHAHA, good one. The posterboy for that theory would be Rock Lee. The character who learned stuff through hardwork. There are three problems with Lee--

1. The technique he learned (Lotus) that even the genius couldn't learn has never, ever hit. He's done the move, to my recollection, four times.

2. The second thing he learned (the gates) almost crippled him permanently. And Kakashi discredited the genius thing by calling him a genius for learning the gates while watching him fight Gaara.

3. Dude has never won a fight. He almost won a fight-- then a genius stole the move he used in the fight, made it better, then jacked all of his shit two weeks later.

He's stated two times already that the way to beat the sharingan is just to run away. I'd say that the theory behind the show might be that everyone is a genius in his/her own way (since pretty much everyone in Konoha has their own talents)-- but the practical example it sets is "no matter how hard you work, you'll never be better than a hardworking genius."

the raging lion or whatever sasuke did was nowhere near as strong as primary lotus and defintitely not up there with secondary lotus. next time lee fights i expect him to open 7 of the chakra gates and bust out some new hidden/suicidal technique, otherwise there was no point in kishi telling us that there are 7 gates in the first place.

guy's lotus hit iirc and the 2nd lotus hit gaara he just absorbe most of the damage, but he was still somewhat hurt by it. when were the other 2 times lee tried the lotus anyway?

Lotus has never hit. They've shown the move four times, and it has never hit. Nothing else has been shown four times without ever hitting. And in three of those four situations, him using the lotus was the turning point for his opponent.

Sasuke made something up, in midair, that not only connected and was much less dangerous, but almost (or did?) kill the guy he hit with it.

To be fair, Sasuke was also schooling some nobody from Orochi's henchman village, and Lee was up against Gaara who happened to be the greatest gennin of the Sand village at the time. By the way, Gaara also beat the shit out of Sasuke later, so I don't think it's fair to use that as the "Lee sucks" moment.

Sasuke is a genius - he's supposed to make shit up on the fly and it work. Again, that's the whole point of this series. Yes, they showed the Lotus a few times and each time it's countered somehow - but I chalk that up to bad luck more than anything else for poor Lee. He's a badass just waiting for his time to shine, and don't think for a second that it's not going to happen. Hell, i'll be that Akatsuki succeeds in creating the next Ninja War, we get to see some mofo's schooled, and Lee will have to run in and save Neji with his gates and what not - thereby proving that with hard work even a "genius of hard work" can beat a Genius!.....

ok so you got me on the part where Kakashi calls Lee a genius. That sorta fucked up the whole notion of hard work > inborn power... Not really sure how that fits in, but whatever. I can't explain EVERYTHING :)

Once during the chunin exams in the forest against a sound nin.

To his credit he has won a fight. He beat the dog shit out of sasuke just before the chunin exams.

There are 8 chakra gates for the record. Someone said there were only 7.

Opening the 8th gate means death to the user. If someone does open all 8 gates and doesn't die (choji, red pill anyone?) it would really cheapen it.

I don't like the direction the manga is going. It's too focused on only a couple characters and kinda shittin on everyone else. For that reason I don't think we'll ever see most characters true potential realized. Unless some crazy turn takes place and it turns into another ninja war between the rain and the leaf (that COULD happen with pein pulling the strings, and would be totally bad ass)

First time was Sasuke, second time was in the forest with sound ninjas, third was Gaara, fourth was Kimi.

I like Lee, but Lee sucks. Technically, his track record is worse than Tenten's. While she has never won a fight, her record is still 0-1 instead of 0-4.

IMO, Lee v Sasuke wasn't a real fight because it didn't really end. You can't end a fight by having an adult come in and say "Cut that shit out".

lee only lost 2 "fair fights". the sound nin and sasuke were both s.o.l. when they were saved by teammates and gai, respectively. but it looks like he's gonna be a tien type character from here on out since he's not part of the main storylines anymore.

I can't really take credit on this one. this SAME series of events shows up all too often in manga and then the respective anime. so far, I haven't seen it in Ghost in the shell 1 +2. maybe pokemon, but I never watched it and I'm almost certian that it happens there too.

at this case, she has to get a sniper rifle and shoot somebody. her first fight in the chuunin exams was just plain ASSRAPE!!! all the throwing weapons in her arsenal, but has she hit anyone and made any significant results yet? If she has, I don't know about it. OMG. even Sakura........................SAKURA Saved Naruto from damage in a fall by what? pinning him to a tree with a kunai. Yeah, I know. did STARHAMMER just give Sakura some credit? :wtf: but, it's true. so far, poor tenten has shown little promise. if she were to start sniping people though, she would go up somewhat quickly in the favor of others. fuck it. Anywho and anyhow, the third was being summoned. His "coffin" arose in the anime and the third said "I must stop the third at all costs."

I really doubt the third would say that unless it was the 4th being summoned. The 4th is the only person ever who could probably wtfpwn the 3rd.
Iam sure the 3rd would not say "at any costs" stop it either if it was just some random ninja joe smith guy. Not like orochi would summon one but whatever.

I feel sorry for the 1st and 2nd though because if their souls were used in the dg jutsu, then according to myth they will be fighting in there for eternity :(

I mean, you've got ninja wars raging across the lands. The rise of the Legendary Sannin. All sorts of people abandoning their clans to do their own thing. The formation of the Akatsuki. Villages sealing monsters inside of children for power. And then the 4th running around and just ruining everybody's shit for free. I'd love to read about/watch that.
That's why I'm hoping for a Kakashi Gaiden Movie, at least.

There's still a chance that this kind of stuff can play out though. Starting wars is part of Akatsuki's plan, and Root is still apparently a threat to Konoha's order; we may see a civil war start in Konoha as well.

something has been bothering me for awhile here.
If orochi uses the body transfer tech then the body starts to fall apart in 3 years right? So if hes inside sasuke and all sasuke did was confine him inside his body then does that mean that sasuke has about 3 years untill his body starts to fail him? and also if so then does that mean sasuke has to transfer bodys too?

Not likely. In this case sasuke is the host body and he is young, healthy, and still growing. The part of orochi he absorbed is a smaller part his greater whole now.

The only thing I could see going wrong is the part of orochi he absorbed attempting to take over or control sasuke. Like the whole process orochi intended doing in reverse. This would be atypical of Orochi considering his seal acts to work as control device, and coming back in such a way would be so slithery.

I agree that the ninja wars and alot of the past in Naruto is very interesting. When I think of it being published I can only picture the clone wars star wars episodes. There is so much interesting story to be told and the pressure to do it right would be intense.

I for one would not like to see the 4th in action and story. His status is so iconic in the series that i think it would be too much to do him justice and that maybe his story is best kept at that, as an inspiration and source of awe.

I remember thinking back on the clone wars before the first episodes came out and they were like a deposit for my creativity and imagination. It wasnt that the first three episodes did not do justice to the sw universe,its just that there was somthing more sacred about it before it was released.

I think a good approach to the series would be like what some people have said and have a new ninja war. The drama would be on and we could see every ninja in life and death situations, pushing themselves to their limit. It would open all kinds of new avenues for plots, like betrayals, new alliances, relationships, and battles.

Maybe sasuke would be back or Naruto would take on a new role. He could be the nine tailed hokage pwning people of all kinds.

ummm that's more of a complaint against anime in general than naruto. most animes don't give you more than 16 mins of actual episode due to beginning and ending themes and other assorted bullshit they throw in.
No. At minimum, Naruto doubles the amount of wasted time. Most intros & credits are about 1 minute long each, whic totals up to 2, maybe 3 minutes. Then there's the time wasted on recaps, but that can't be more than 1 minute. It just takes time wasting THAT much further. And that's even before taking flashbacks & other in-episode bullshit into account.

The latest spoiler out of 2ch claims that Tobi can change bodies - which would possibly lend the slightest bit of credibility to this theory.. Of course, it's pretty early for a legit spoiler out of 2ch, but anything is possible.

The 2 ninjas refuse to talk to jiraya until he uses the feather (its actually a jutsu).

Kakashi's team reach sasuke's place but find no one.

back to jiraya.....

Pein is actually considered a hero in the rain village, he was the commander of the rain village army when he was only 16 years old.

Seems like Pein lost his job for disobeying the orders of the feudal lord and refusing to execute some civilians for not paying their taxes, he lead a rebellion 11 years ago. (guess that makes Pein 27 years old) and he is currently in control over 80% of the rain village.

Konan locates the intruder.

Pein uses the rain to telaport into the frog's location.

Next chapter: Jiraya Vs Pein.

No, she didn't.

On top of it being filler, since the Temari and Tenten "fight" wasn't shown in the manga, Tenten used regular wire to "rethrow" all those fucking projectiles...though that probably shouldn't have been physically possibly given the sheer weight.

Chakra strings have always been bluish. Always.

Anyway, it's kind of better than she hasn't shown that she can actually use chakra strings right now since that would just mean that she sucks even more.

He had a bullshit death when he was somehow forcibly used as a "pull-out-my-Uchiha-ass-and-hypontize" instant summon when Sasuke was running on fumes. He was yet another unfortunate victim of Kishimoto's inability to end most battles decently.

i'm thinking that root will see an opening and attack within the next few chapters...the reason why i say that is because of all the foreshadowing in the last few chapters and the fact that damn near every decent shinobi is outside of the village with the exception of tsunade.

That seems kind of...random, though, especially since the factions seem so nebulous.

Has Root even been in more than three or four chapters?

Tsukiyiomi can be used at least twice in this battle which pretty much takes out whomever Itachi used it on.

And you have just as many other broken jutsus from the rest of akatsuki.

Those are clones of Pein, that's why we see him go to sleep and wake up. He's preping his own clone war!!

Pein fights just like Kakazu--instead of hearts/mask he uses clones/bodies.
He never lost a fight because it was 6 on 1 all the time. Or how ever many clones he made vs 1.

But his oppents dont know that.

Unlike Kakazu, you cant get to his hearts/mask--master clones because they are kept hidden in a room only Pein can get to.

It's the perfect use of Kagebunshin/Replacement. Damn his version of being Immortal.

This chapter has crazy implications.

I dont buy the last line. I never have. To me, its always seemed like Orochimaru was the SMART one, Tsunade was the SUPPORTIVE one, and Jiraiya was the POWERFUL one. Do I think Jiraiya could beat Orochimaru if he didnt let emotion over his old friend get in the way? Definitely.

Ok, I know everybody thinks Itatchi is god and all but you have to remember one thing. It takes a relativeley huge amount of chakra for itatchi to perfom his poweful jutsu.

After using his genjutsu on kakashi and Ameratsu to escape the frogs esophagus in the same day, itatchi said himself he needed to rest. So after using those, he had used up a large amount of his chakra.

Now, I think everyone should have their opinion but i think its ridiculous to think one guy could use his genjutsu on all of the sannin, the last hokages, and a demon that was so powerful it took the most powerful ninja ever to use a sacrifice jutsu to take down, all at the same time (If it is implying all at once)

Again, I know Itatchi is a really cool character but i think people give him way more credit than he deserves. His jutsu's take an incredible amount of chakra to use, and Iam sure against more experienced and powerful oponents like the sannin the jutsu would take way more effort to pull off, let alone using it against two sannin at once. (ya orochi was owned but if people know what to expect, like gai, its a different story) Itatchi has crazy skills, but they take fuel to pull off and believe he does not have enough fuel to take down multiple sannin.

Tsunade is godly too, and Iam sure all of them have the will power to deal with or at least hang with itachi's genjutsu.

Remember when tsunade brought kakashi back from his coma? She chided him for being caught off guard by a couple of punks. lol

I just think people need to realize the ms and related genjutsu's take alot of effort to use. and I mean, if he can suppossedly kill everyone and anything so easy why didnt he just waste jirayai and take naruto?

Could it be that Jirayai, being a powerful experienced sannin could resist or escape Itatchi's genjutsu? I am sure he knows of Itatchi's ms power (kakashi and everyone else does) so thats hwy he was teaching naruto to resist genjutsu's.
Naruto didnt pull it off, but imagine how much better a sannin could do it.

It seems like, to me, jiraiya is the most powerful of the sannin. everyone in the story knows his name and respects or fears him. even akatsuki. the only one who didnt was orochimaru, and thats seems as if it was due to their growing up together. If you draw a parallel to naruto and sasuke (as it is obvious we are supposed to), jiraiya just cant bring himself to fight orochi full force, and orochi knows this.

It also seems to me that Tobi is stronger than Pein who is stronger than Itachi. This is due to their ranking, yes, which may not 100% mean one is stronger than the next. But, to me, in kishimoto's style, it seems like thats what it is meant to imply.

Now, you can stop picking at straws and using absurd analogies on my viewpoints of a purposely ambiguous fictional story. K, thx.

Okay, let's recap on what are all of Itachi's positives:

- Top rookie in the academy and graduated in one year at age 7
- Activated Sharingan age 8 (and eventually mastered it at age 12 IIRC)
- Chuunin age 10
- Jounin/ANBU age 13
- Mangekyo Sharingan age 13 (IIRC)
- Orochimaru: "His (Itachi's) power exceeds mine." I don't know what chapter it was, but he definitely admits his own weakness to him. Keep in mind Orochimaru said this while we know he possessed one godly jutsu - Edo tensei.
- Orochimaru is quickly defeated by Itachi in a flashback we saw not too long ago. All of Orochimaru's jutsu are useless against Itachi as stated by Itachi.

Negatives:

- Use of Tsukiyomi a few times +one Amaterasu drained Itachi's chakra enough that he decided (or was forced to) to deactivate his Sharingan (anime - I can't remember if it was also in the manga).
- Loss of eyesight due to the Mangekyo Sharingan - unknown how severe it is

No matter how you look at it, Itachi is quite a prodigy - we've never seen or at least heard of anyone else accomplishing as much as he did in such a short duration of time at such a young age. Not only that, but he's now 20 years old - if he can accomplish all that so quickly, just think of how much stronger he's grown since he killed the entire Uchiha clan and joined the Akatsuki somewhere along the way. Surely, being with the Akatsuki enabled Itachi to gain much more experience in battles, but we only know so much about that.

There really isn't much to say about Orochimaru since it's laid out for us quite clearly that Itachi > Orochimaru. Is Oro the strongest Sannin though? We can't say for sure, but you have to realize that Orochimaru was the 3rd's favorite student, and that the 3rd hesitated about killing him.

We know that even Itachi has at least some sort of weakness, as we were given a sort of measurement as to the lengths of Itachi's chakra. We know that Mangekyo Sharigan can worsen eyesight as told by Kakashi. He's not invincible, yes, but how and why would any of this rank him lower then Sannin level? It really doesn't, because we've hardly seen these weaknesses get exploited.

So, anyway. Before trying to compare Jiraiya or any Sannin or anyone else to Itachi, keep in mind all the facts given to us.

Disclaimer: My knowledge with Naruto may be hazy, as I haven't gone over the earlier pages of manga or anime in years. However, everything I just said regarding Itachi's positives and negatives are fact until proven otherwise.

Ok, I know everybody thinks Itatchi is god and all but you have to remember one thing. It takes a relativeley huge amount of chakra for itatchi to perfom his poweful jutsu.

jiraiya is very confident in his abilities. he says he would kill tsunade if he had to. this is a hokage level person. all of the sannin are hokage level. orochimaru is very powerful in terms of respect. he was actually favored over the 4th except for his evil intents. orochimaru is probably more powerful than jiraiya and tsunade.

the sannin should, in theory be more powerful than itachi. but naruto is pretty dumb. like kabuto being a better healer than the world famous tsunade? they just hype up the young people. naruto being stronger than kakashi? its just dumb.

i dont believe the sharingan is an instant win button. otherwise sasuke shouldve been able to beat gaara, naruto, haku, etc. itachi wouldnt have run from gai, and from jiraiya.

we just know that when you are that strong anything can happen.

The only weakness I see with the ms is the dependence on it. What if Itatchi didnt have enough chakra to use it? He would be fucked. I know at 20 he doesnt know half the jutsu orochi or a sannin would. This is why his profile sayus he likes to avoid fights and use as little effort as possible.

Its like how I said he is the perfect assasin but not a fighter. Maybe at his age he doesnt have the chakra reserves to maintain his crazy powerful skills long enough for a real battle.

That would make sense too because his name is derived from weasel.
Also, I think Itatchi's character is going to eventaully be used as a model for the classic child prodigy burnout.

Think about it, Sasuke is more of a late bloomer compared to Itatchi and its been said in some ways that sasuke's power will exceed Itatchi's. Itatchi's character would be perfect for it. He was too good, too young, too fast and it could have made him complacent and apathetic. The same thing happens to alot of child prodigies and they fade out.

I dont know though, whats really on my mind is why Jirayai is so powerful and respected. Itatchi is guaranteed s-class and as powerful as he is, hesitates against Jirayai.

We actually do have a few clues that Jiraiya is powerful, we just don't know how much. We know he's at least on par with Orochimaru. He appointed himself Orochi's watcher so I imagine they crossed paths a few times and he's still alive, while you also can't ignore the fact that he is Naruto to Orochimaru's Sasuke. Out of all of leaf village, he was the first one offered the Hokage position when the third died. Says a lot right there. When Itachi ran up against Kakashi and crew, his clone still raped them with MS like Richard Pryor. When he ran up against an outnumbered Jiraiya, his best jutsu was a GTFO spell.

Thought: Naruto will save Sasuke. He has to save him to become Hokage and succeed where Jiraiya failed.

Tough to really see Kakashi advancing that far without something extreme happening. Kakashi really isn't the motivated type and seems to lack emotion to be Hokage. Truthfully, I could see Gai taking over before Kakashi, but I think Tsunade is a fine filler until she sacrifices herself and Naruto takes over. I can almost guarantee after Jaraiya's "death" :sad: that Naruto and Tsunade will form a closer relationship.

In all Shonen mangas they have this nasty little habit of killing off the main characters sensei/teacher for character progression. It's almost neccessary for Jaraiya to die so Naruto can ascend. The only other two people that would fit that persona is Sakura or Kakashi but that's highly unlikely.

Saying "You might die", or "hey, i might not come back from this one" is NOT FORESHADOWING.

Asuma's death was foreshadowed using analogies and ambiguous language. Foreshadowing is never direct.

Im thinking they are susceptible to genjutsu just as they are in their real bodies. They can use chakra and cast genjutsu themselves so they must have a chakra pathways. But if they arent then there is no reason for Orochimaru not to have used them to capture him. There has to be some kinda drawback or something/

PPl have trouble with oro and itachi's fight because of the thing's oro has done.

When enma broke oro's neck it wasn't the real oro it was a mud bunshin(sp)
When MK slashed oro's body in half it didn't really phase him at all. Oro's body has been shown to be pretty durable.
And then oro loses to some average genjutsu and a hand being cut off. :confused:

Oro losing to itachi the way he did makes as much sense as itachi running away from Jiraiya.

the only reason the 3rd stayed alive long enough to use the death god on Oro was because 1) he stopped one of the coffins and 2) he managed to beat two Hokages on his own while Oro just stood there and watched.

Itachi would not be able to a) stop ANY of the coffins or b) take down two Konoha Hokages (probably not even one).

ask yourself this, could Itachi have taken down the Third in a fight and lived to tell about it? i highly doubt it. the reason Orochimaru survived his fight with the Third is because he knew he had to come correct against the Third in order to kill him. he had to take the time to prepare and plan for that fight. what did he do to prepare? he had his sound ninjas seal off the area so no one could interfere. he had his dead bodies prepped and ready for Edo Tensei. he had his tags prepped and ready to put on the back of their heads. Oro came correct in that fight and won. Oro never had a reason to come that correct against Itachi, and he never got pissed off enough to bother coming correct because it was much easier to go after his little brother. if Oro came too correct at Itachi, Itachi would have been killed.

oro needs the ashes/dna of the people he wants to bring back. I believe it takes a long time to setup (to build the bodies). Maybe Oro needs to perform something during the fight in order to maintain control of the shodaime and nidaime.

I wonder if he still has the forth kicking around, as that's the one the third suppressed. The Third mentioned specifically that he needs to stop that one from coming out, as the Yellow Flash can end the fight in an instant (via teleport).

btw, Oro never tried to "kill" itachi. he wanted Itachi's body to transfer over. Cause he wanted those teh brokeness.

It's like you guys all arguing are slowly beginning to realize what I tried to get you to figure out a long time ago.

As much as I like Naruto, it's a very badly written story. Yes, it is for children, but there are many "children's" books which are very well written.

Just accept that this is a shonen jump manga and whoever believes in themselves will be the strongest in the end and whoever is the newest character will become the strongest until Naruto/Sasuke/Kakashi/Shikamaru beats them.

Accept that we will never see a significant battle with any of the other ninjas from Konoha ever again unless it is to show how powerful someone new it.

You can't argue about who is the strongest because I don't even Kishi knows who is the strongest. He probably just waits for the popularity polls and then writes the story based on those.

I have Itachi as 2nd srtongest to 4th hokage. Based on what we've seen. Not counting Pein Or Madara Until he is proven inferior to whoever.

I give Jiraiya the benefit of the doubt because Itachi saw him, Oh shit son let's be out. Didn't have enough chakra to lock up the W and wisely escaped.

I think with Itachi his only real weakness can or could be the length of the battle. If he didn't trap you in a genjutsu right off the back. I think somebody of Jiraiya's level which is hokage level could defeat Itachi.

Jiraiya now with the knowledge of Itachi's Black Flame possibly could win. Jiraiya or another hokage level nin has to force Itachi to use Mangekyou to deplete his chakra. I dunno how you do this. As in Peeps see Itachi and get completely owned. every flashback=Itachi owning somebody. You guys think Pein fought Itachi?--or Madara just said listen Itachi he's the acting leader his orders are basically mine.

If what Itachi said is true about Mangekyou then only Sasuke will be able to due this. Madara i have to assume did this quickly to Itachi because his is the Original sharingan. The Immortal Sharingan.

I wish we had more to go off of. Damn these things are more exciting than the actual growth of Naruto.

Oh well, Jiraiya will get peaced out by Pein, a toad will transport his dying body back to the crew revealing to Uzumaki his family roots. Thus this will propel naruto's will and growth.

The way it's hinted at how Pein fights i can't see him losing to Jiraiya.

i think we need to reach a consensus on what "stronger" even means. imo if itachi can rape the fuck out of everybody with his genjutsu that he always seems to be able to pull off then he is the strongest. and if orochi gets his arms cut off by an aging ass hokage it, it didn't happen bcuz he was just chillin and watching the hokage showdown it was bcuz he played his best move and it failed.

...that said, i think itachi > orochi for the reasons stated by someone else. i'll give you that orochi may not have been trying to kill itachi...but you don't get your shit wrecked like that if you happen to be the stronger of the two. and if anything body absorbtion is somewhat predicated on the initiator being strong enough to overpower the person.

I guess all the Itachi nut huggers out there just have a hard time accepting it. Kakashi is one of my fav chars, but I know there are others that could beast on him.

i think we need to reach a consensus on what "stronger" even means. imo if itachi can rape the fuck out of everybody with his genjutsu that he always seems to be able to pull off then he is the strongest.

i'll ask the same question again: could Itachi have taken out the Third and lived to tell about it?

and if orochi gets his arms cut off by an aging ass hokage it, it didn't happen bcuz he was just chillin and watching the hokage showdown it was bcuz he played his best move and it failed.

failed? dude, Orochimaru won that fight. the fact that it was a qualified victory doesn't make it any less of a victory. if anyone failed, it was the Third.

...that said, i think itachi > orochi for the reasons stated by someone else. i'll give you that orochi may not have been trying to kill itachi...but you don't get your shit wrecked like that if you happen to be the stronger of the two.

once again, Orochimaru never came correct against Itachi. do y'all even know what come correct means? coming correct means you fucking come correct. you plan, you prepare, you play to win, you bring all your tricks to the table. Oro didn't do any of that with Itachi. people seem to forget rather quickly that Orochimaru killed a Hokage - killed him. actually, scratch that. he killed TWO of them. if Itachi had been the Leaf Village Hokage at the time of Orochimaru's attack on Konoha, he would have died too. at that time, no one, i repeat, no one was fucking with Orochimaru. his assault on Konoha was AFTER his fight with Itachi. if Orochi had devoted the same amount of time and resources to taking down Itachi that he devoted to taking down Konoha/The Third Itachi would be dead, plain and simple.

I think the ninjas are morons. I mean Gai was the only one who has an anti-sharingan style taijutsu.

I think the reason why Itachi has been deemed so strong is because his technique is very powerful when you look at him.

I mean the reason Orochimaru always loses against Itachi is because he keeps his eyes on him like a horny pervert looking at a shaking booty.

Ya, I agree that if Orochi came after Itatchi the right way he could beat him. Orochi tried to absorb itatchi, and while he may not be capable of that a fight to the death is another story.

Where in the manga/anime did Orochi specificaly say Itatchi was stronger than him? The only instance I can think of is after Orochi lost his arms. Even then he said it only because his arms were crippled,and said it as though he could have won before. "I cant beat him no
