i looked at the last two pages over and over, pein opens the wall, and walks in. climbs in the bed and goes to sleep. then a figure wakes up and says "well then...time to hunt the intruder." the thing about that figure is he has peins eyes (circles) but i dont if its the poorly scan manga or maybe it was unintentional but i dont see peins hair which normally overflows over his headband. who cares though, we'll find out soon enough.

Oro PLUS kabuto knew he was a puppet user. During his fight with MK oro was cut up and regenerated easily.

The puppets have their own jutsus though. It's kind of like a hybrid between Sharingan and Kagebunshin, being as he can make a puppet body separate from his own with any jutsu he wants, he just needs prep time (and to kill/prepare the original user).

If we're going with full-on manga brokenness in Theory Fighter, he's basically Naruto and Sasuke wrapped up in one ultimate package. The survivability/overwhelmingness of Naruto's Taiyou-Kagebunshin with the jutsu assortment of a Sandaime or Kakashi.

Itachi, as you mentioned, would find Mango-Sharingan useless as Sasori has no eyes. Worst-case scenario even if he did, Sasori never fights directly so he wouldn't be able to catch him anyway. He'd have to Amaterasu more than once to take out all of the puppets, which simply ain't happening without him getting exhausted and clipped (JUST LIKE SAKURA).

Kisame has a shot if he summons an Ocean, but even then it's a stalemate. With so many puppets in his collection he's GOT to have a water-jutsu specialist in there, as he's a solid tactician and seems like the type to think ahead for that sort of thing. In a straight-up knockdown I give it to Kisame only if Sasori doesn't change the location and/or doesn't have a puppet designed for this weakness.

Deidara would have to use his end-game jutsu to get all of them, and even then Sasori could bait him with puppets and just be somewhere else when it finally came down to it.

Well, those ten puppets were really powerful puppets. They were special puppets made by the japanese equivalent of shakespeare so they were stronger than Sasori's par for par.

Most of them were murdering Sasori's puppets left and right. It was really a puppetiers duel where quality overcame quantity, whit the help of new buff sakura.

Honestly though, I cant imagine how powerful those puppets of sasori's could have been. Chiyo even said as the number of them decreased they become stronger because with less puppets sasori could concentrate more on the ones he had left. That means with all 100 most would have been at a default, standard skill level.

Considering all akatsuki members are S level, Iam sure bashing some puppets would not have been a real challenege. I think the real challenge and true power of sasori is getting through all his freakin defenses and strategy changes. Its like after you've killed one shell and other arises in a new form and keeps presenting a new, more difficult challeneg. Grinding through that would be tough for anyone.
I think thats what makes sasori powerful really.

Word, Deidara's a tough call with his infinite runaway and all. I vote Sasori over him only because I don't really see a way for Deidara to damage him, but the Kazekage puppet could chase him down with the Magnetic Sand if it came down to it. In close combat of course Sasori demolishes.

Kakuzu stands a good chance, but again like I said: He's highly susceptible to poison. Shikamaru's tactic worked with a bunch of set-up and shenanigans, Sasori just has to nick him one time to win. In a protracted battle it just ends up like the Chiyo/Sakura battle did, both destroy each other's minions but one shot kills Kakuzu dead.

correct me if im wrong here but nobody has ever said the container only contained his heart, i mean in the picture linked above you can see nerve endings sticking out, now im gonna go on a little naruto theory here but
heres what i think when sasori made the puppets to be vessels for himself im sure he included working vessels connecting the limbs to the heart area. so when the container locks into the chest it lines up with these vessels and bam he can move see talk etc. as well as pump chakra throughout the body. this is the only answer i can come up with that seems plausible in the naruto realm. also a heart can't think so im sure that container contains at least 3 things. his heart to keep the brain working, his brain to fucking fuction and a central nervous system that branches out allowing him to control a puppet as if it was his own. oh yea and that purple shit which im sure either puppet juice or grape kool-aid. ofcourse if someone said its only his heart then my theory is trashed.
With this im certain that the sharingan could neutralize sasori his only option is to
1.)cut off his vision and fight blind
2.)do his fucking chest pop shit over and over making wasting the opponents chakra (maybe if itachi fought sasori inside of sas's lair or something.

Itachi wins most likely. Sure you'd think Itachi shouldn't be able to dodge all those
traps, but granny dodged needle attack patterns from Hiruko (aka the modified arm
of Hiruko) that she wasn't familiar with WHILE controlling Sakura. Seems impossible eh? If granny can do the impossible fuck yeah and Uchiha can. This coming from a Sasori fan.

Itachi is a crafty fighter, I say he wins simply by outsmarting Sasori with Kagebushins and staying on top of him after getting close.

Sasori vs Kakuzu

Sasoris leverage = poison gas in this fight.
Kakuzu leverage= iron skin

Factors that weigh in = How long does it take for Kakuzu to detach his masks and start
going elemental. If Kakuzu uses elemental jutsus early it doesn't mean death for Sasori he c an dodge just like everyone else.He actually moves relatively quickly when not controlling his puppets. (see smashy smashy and doging huge blocks) If Kakuzu ever tries to tentacle rape Sasori though. Kakuzu loses, assuming he doesn't know Sasoris weak point.

I say iit's a toss up, The longer Kakuzu fights close range though the more the odds are in Sasoris favor. Hell if I was Sasori I'd LET him catch me just to gas him. If Kakuzu goes elemental the question remains if he can use his iron skin at the same time. I don't see why not. If he can Sasori is fucked otherwise he could be open for a sneak attack from the puppet man. I still say it's a 50/50 fight.

Sasori vs Kisame
Since when does water really pose a problem? Ninjas walk on water so stop with the drowning stuff. Only thing I'd worry about as Sasori is water lasers or the like. Hell Zabuza
survived being pummeled by a massive suiton jutsu. Once again, if I was Sasori I wouldn't
even try and stay away from Kisame let the fool get close and poison trap his ass. I say Sasori can take Kisame in Hiruko. Sure up close Kisame can suck chakra but Sasori can re-attach chakra strings. Nothing Kisame has shown so far makes me worry for Sasoris safety. NOTHING.

Other notes on Sasori that don't make sense: Why did only Hiruko only have poison needles? Technically he should have been spam master with his 100 puppet army. Also why did we only see 1 human puppet? Why not use the bullet sand jutsu again KNOWING granny couldn't block it again. Technically Sasori can FLY no reason why he shouldn't be able to with either a puppet or on Iron Sand. Anyway...if Sasori was used to his full potential he would be hell on earth. And yes I'lll say Deidara would be DEAD if Sasori flew after his ass on Sandaime Kazekage throwing iron bullets lol.

Jiryaia was already an ass-kicking sannin when sasori was learning to use the can like a big boy. Same with Tsunade and Orochi.

He was beat by grandma chiyo and Sakura. He was a gimmick villian. Puppets and knives, and flamethrowers, and needles and poison gas are cheap tricks.
The only thing he had that owned was the iron sand and he screwed that up like a major scrub. Again, its all about matchups and he fought another s-level puppetier and lost.

Here's my thing with the power lvls. kakuzu, hidan, and all the others that died were powerful sure. The thing is though, people had a will to fight them.
I seriously doubt kakashi, naruto, shikimaru etc would even have the will to consider fighting a sannin. Kakashi is the best of all of them and you think he ponder fighting jirayai for a sec?
Sasori is nowhere near the top. Especially above sannin/3rd even from what we've seen. Its all about matchups but, eh.

No one but Sakura and possibly Tsunade could make an antidote for the poison though. No one but Chiyo knew enough about the puppets to dodge the majority of his attacks. It's literally the worst possible match-up for Sasori and (fanboy-goggles ON) HE STILL WON.

Aside from the magical Yondaime's shunpo (which, being as Sasuke can do that now makes him actually a really good candidate to take out Sasori) no one else has the knowledge to touch Sasori. I could see maybe one of the sannin summoning a giant beast to just fall on him, that's about the only tactic that's getting them out of that fight. Otherwise GGPO poison owns you.

Well thanks to Toonami and DVR, I saw the first Naruto movie, Clash In The Land of Snow. I thought the animation quality was pretty good it had some good action scenes. The whiney princess, well I knew Naruto was gonna change her views on everything being crappy. I mean, that was a given and Naruto's power to change people should be called "that jutsu." However, her little "I believe in you, Naruto speech" at the end made me cringe. :wasted:

In the begining of the film, when they were in snow land, Sakura was mostly useless, but towards, the end it seems like they made her a little too good. I'd like to ask the resident Sakura hater, Starhammer, what his view is on this.

Of course Kakashi said Naruto would surpass his papa, I just wonder when its gonna happen.

on the contrary, I'd think that Naruto would be DYING to know who his parents were, and the fact his father was a Hokage (the fourth, no less) his motivation would skyrocket. If his dad could do it, why not him, right?

Im kinda unsure about this fight. Gaara is really fucking strong if he wasnt held back in his fights he'd be more apparent as kisame with sand, i mean just a fucking chakra tank. Seriously Gaara has quite a few techniques that are pretty much instant kill, his Sand Ocean aka oh shit is that a giant title wave of sand would drown the 100 puppets and if sasori got tossed in the mix no way anybody is gonna survive the follow up where he compresses the sand to harden to the density of a rock. Albeit kimmimaro survived it because of his bone disorder, something sasori doesnt have. and if he came in no-prep he can use the sand eye to find the buttplug that is sasori and desert coffin it.

Alright, I'm paraphrasing this spoiler (as opposed to translating it) for easy reading. Validity in question, of course, until we get images, but currently this is the one looking most credible at 2ch.

According to the spoiler, Jiraiya does appear briefly in the chapter, but most of it is composed of Pain's flashbacks, which tell his origin.

The spoiler alleges that Pain is an "artificial psychic entity" created by a previous civilization. Think "mind without body", like in ghost in the shell. Pain is self-aware, so he's not a machine. He's existed for 1000 years. Many other "artificial entities" were created by these ancients, but only Pain was self-aware and only he survives.

Psychic entity in this case means a mind which does not need a body to exist; thus, he's incorporeal.

Being incorporeal, he can switch between bodies at will. He has six, which are made to look like humans but are in fact highly soffisticated puppets (I don't know why the spoiler doesn't flat out call them robots, but whatever). The body he transfered to last chapter is a black haired individual.

Pain's bodies were created specifically to - get this - fight Bijuu.

The highly advanced civilization which created Pain was destroyed by the Bijuu, which the spoiler provider says looked much more fearsome in the flashback than they do now. The only ruins of the ancient civilization are in Amegakure (which would explain the tall buildings and funky architecture).

Konan reforms herself and seems to form a seal... Jiraiya says something like you're one of the main members so you will know about pein if i capture you..

Hanzou appears from the background and says no jiraiya won't be doing that to her..

Konan acknowledges it's actually Pein *seems like pein woken up Hanzou's body*

he added the chapter ends with Sasuke and gang reaching uchiha hideout where kisame reminds sasuke to go in alone while he keep the rest company outside...

well, IIRC, not all Uchiha have the Sharingan or are capable of getting it. Plus I believe he did the murdering at night, so Itachi probably killed everyone when they were sleeping or not as prepared.

IMO the fight would be relatively even. Gaara's shield would most likely prevent Sasori's poison from actually hitting. And Gaara can control a large amount of sand, making it ideal to deal with multiple targets (recall his massive sand coffin jutsu vs bone dude..forgot his name).

Gaara protected the entire SAND VILLAGE from a massive Deidara Bomb with sand... Im sure he can deal with some fucking puppets.

Beyond that, Sasori is from the same village. He'd probably battle in the same type of environment (desert) which gives a HUGE advantage to Gaara (again, refer to the Deidara/Gaara battle.)

Gaara could just have the sand pull him out of the cave and completely bury it in sand, killing all of the puppets and Sasori at the same time..

I mean the real 3rd kazekage had shukaku. After he died it evenutally went to gaara. So of course the puppet that Sasori had wouldn't have had it. However he had to have been able to get through it to defeat the 3rd kazekage. So a shield of sand should be easier to get through than a shield of iron. Sasori likely had his way of doing it.

well, IIRC, not all Uchiha have the Sharingan or are capable of getting it. Plus I believe he did the murdering at night, so Itachi probably killed everyone when they were sleeping or not as prepared.

Meanwhile, Sasori, regardless of his current body, knows exactly what Gaara is capable of due to Yuura being his bitch. So right there, it's never a "fair fight". On top of that, that means that Sasori will, as stupid as I find Muff Daddy's term, "come correct" to fight. This includes picking the location (which would definitely be outside if so possible, and that's only really as difficult as changing as kidnapping Kankuro or Temari would be...not that Gaara can't control himself unlike Naruto).

People seem to be failing to remember that Hiruko traveled across the desert on foot and no sand got in him. It seems really odd, true, but some really odd reason, despite sand seeming like it would be a huge detriment to puppets, The Sand Village is the preimer puppet village in the manga and their puppets never seem to get clogged with sand. If you know anything about fire and sand--yay, Aladdin the TV series!--interacting, then you would know that hot enough fire will turn sand to glass. You know, the type of "hot enough fire" that comes from flamethrowers, especially ones that can melt rock, which is about the maximum density that Gaara seems to compress his sand into.

Gaara, who is always relying on auto-defense and rarely moving of his own accord and never quickly at that, is basically toast.

However, this brings up the whole "nebulous situation" thing since I'm obviously biased towards Sasori in this match (though not as conspicuously as Uncauzi) and Kishimoto's battles are vague as crap.

I'm sure that people will start to argue but "Gaara would obviously move out of the way, you moron!" Yeah, of course he would...but could he?

A neji and sasuke match would be an interesting contest. After 2.5 years of growth the two could revive thier top of the class rivalry in a byakugan vs sharingan battle. The uchihas are said to have descended/branched from the hyugas so there is alot of story potential for any connection/relation in power the two blood line limits have. My worst fear is that they cancel eachother out or somthing lame.

So far the whole serie revolves around unlocking the true power of the sharingan, but if the Uchihas came from the Hyugas I need more Byakugan in the plot.

As much as i like Neji, Sasuke has more advantages with summons, power ups, longer-range fighting than Neji. And even if Neji's spin defense stops most of that, there's gonna come a point where Oro's blood adds too much power, and Neji begins to tire. And then it's over

Yar, I'm a manga reader, the anime in general makes me lose IQ points. Once in a while I'll risk some brain cells when my fav characters pop up. Oh and by the way, anyone that questions the durability of Sasoris main body, Sakura hit it with a full on STONE busting giant block repelling, Huriko busting SupaPunch. It broke apart and reformed. In fact it seems puppets are made to just come apart easily so that the user can use individual parts of the puppet to attack. Theres no reason to believe a puppet user can't let you punch the main body of a puppet ONLY to take control of the blade arm once it detaches to skewer you.

I hate the idea of puppet users in general. Why can't they just attach chakra strings to weapons and what-not to just cut out the middle man.

Sasukes summons/ Manda is dead, the only other summons would be fodder.(?)
One gentle fist can take care of any summon. (maybe not a boss summon)
Long range fighting/ katons mixed with shuriken? Byakugan would see it.
Wires? Byakugan would see them.
Chidori variations/ Dodge or rotation
Power up's/ Neji has the ability to turn off chakra.... Turn off chakra, with gentle fist. Turn off chakra, that style of jutsu work's on any ninja that doesn't have some kind of freakish skin.
Hidden snake hands/ pretty tough call!.

Seriously this fight would probaly come down to who's trickier, i'd give it to sasuke.
I like Neji more, and he is a smart fighter but he's not tricky.

As far as skills go, i don't think sasuke can lay a finger on Neji assuming that sasuke's taijutsu by now is probaly a little better than Rock's, and Neji's clan is suppose to excel in hand-to-hand. and we have yet to see Rock defeat Neji who's already made it to Jounin level as where everyone else is still a chunin. Little projectile tricks won't work on Neji either just because projectiles don't do shit in the naruto world.

Sasuke would probaly have to play keep away with Neji and spam random jutsus at him to make him use of his chakra, when they both tire out Sasuke would just turn on his seal and get a second boost of energy, that's something Neji probaly won't be able to contend with just because he's tired. Sasuke's speed and overall roundedness would probably equal better keep away than spiderman or whatever his name was.

And yea it's true, Neji can shut off Sasuke's chakra to prevent him from going to level 2 or whatever, but he's gotta get in range of Sasuke first, and like i said, Sasuke is trickier and can play a good keep away game if he wants to. Unfortunately the only range attack we've ever seen Neji do is that palm air force attack, and we have yet to see what else he can do, so as it stands, Neji is still lacking in the range department. And will lose simply because of stamina. I'm not even going into genjutsu just because no one really knows.
