This would be cool. The catch with it is a little somthing i've been thinking about in the naruto world atm though. There was/is madara and Itatchi/Sasuke.
Where the heck are any of the other uchihas? Sure, obito could have been great but he's gone. So that leaves 3 powerful uchihas in the last 5 generations?
Itatchi and Sasuke are of the same generaton really, so where are they all?

I wouldnt think Itatchi could kill his own clan at the age of 15 or whatever because there would be other uchihas around. Sure he has the MS, but in all that time there were no other powerful uchihas aroudn that were in Kakashi, or Minato's age group? Nobody...? Nobody even mentionable...?

And ya, whats with all the uber ninjas leaving Konoha? Konoha would be unstoppable if they all stayed lol.

Yeah, it's a bit weird and Kishi definately needs to offer some kind of REAL explanation when Sasuke squares off with Itachi. By the way, at the pace the manga is going, it would seem that the Itachi/Sasuke fight is going to overlap with Jirayia/Pain fight.

I still don't see why everyone believes that Itachi killed his clan.. It could be easily possible that he used Mangekyo on Sasuke to make him BELIEVE he did it.

I don't believe we were ever given any proof that Itachi was the REAL culprit other than what Sasuke saw through his eyes.. and the FIRST thing Sasuke saw when entering the village (if you look back on the Manga) is someone with the Sharingan Activated staring RIGHT AT HIM ontop of some sort of power pole. It stands to reason that the killing was already over at that point - including the deaths of Sasuke's parents. Itachi could have survived, and since Sasuke was too young to seek out vengance, he used MS on him to make him train to kill ITACHI as opposed to seeking out Madara, since Madara would crush him instantly instead of letting him grow up and train.

I think Sasuke will still fight with Itachi, but I think there will be some brotherly love coming out of it, with some bullshit like Itachi telling sasuke the truth as he is dying, and telling him he's the only one that can be a true avenger for his people blah blah blah

Also, in the spoilers, Madara makes reference to Sasuke remaining a Snake or turning into a Hawk (Band of the Hawks :looney:). Is he basically referring to Sasuke wanting to kill him versus siding with him?

Just curious. Also, if Madara is so powerful, then why is he doing all of this? Why is he so power hungry? Eventually, besides Naruto and Sasuke, there isn't anyone alive who is capable of checking him...

Who ran over the anbus freely? (not trying to start an argument, just really looking for the info) i saw maybe kabuto which was ranked with kakashi who used to be an anbu.

everyone in konoha isn't a ninja, and all of the ninjas are already military personnel. policing konoha refers to the civilian population, it's not as if civilians are hard to deal with in the naruto world, hell even genin can pretty much beast on them for the most part.
and as someone already said, all of the uchihas don't even develop sharingan so it'd be pretty easy to off them if you have the MS as itachi did. and i'm sure we can all at least agree that itachi did kill his best friend/cousin, so i don't see why he wouldn't kill the rest of the clan..if you get stronger from killing your best friend, woulnd't it stand to reason that killing your clan would ultimately make you stronger as well?

as far as itachi not killing anybody on the various times we see him in konoha, to me he doesn't seem to particularly like combat with no goal, like he's not a sociopath like pre-kazekage gaara and he's already uber-strong, so what does he really have to gain by killing people in konoha other than drawing attention to himself and akatsuki?

Yup, and to add to this, it would make sense for Madara to wipe out the Uchihas so there won't be anyone from his clan that could eventually rival him, i.e. Itachi/Sasuke. I'm assuming that Itachi has fought Madara before, and Madara spares his life. Itachi asks Sasuke to be spared as well, and then creates the illusion that he killed everyone.

If this does happen, I wonder how it will affect Sasuke when his only goal in life is pointless. I can forsee a SERIOUS crash in his psyche...

I wonder if there's an equivalent Madara from the Byakugan Clan...

How did shisui die though? Didn't he drown or get choked out or sumthin? There was no fight IIRC. I don't believe shisui was anywhere near itachi's level anyway. Remember back when Itachi was first shown from behind at the slaughter of the Uchihas, it doesn't much look like Itachi at all and we only see his right eye. Of course this is most likely because it was early in the series and Kishi's initial character designs were altered but emmmm.

Or maybe Itachi has been Jiraiya's spy this whole time, as has been expected by many people. Therefore Itachi went to work with madara willingly. We havn't seen him kill anyone yet, so other than being a bada$$ mofo and providing Akatsuki with clout, what else has he done?

Man, I missed all the fan speculation a few pages back. I was actually thinking that Itachi is pushing Sasuke to his limit so Madara could possess Sasuke's body who has more potential than Itachi. Orochimaru's possession jutsu might have been a reason why he was recruited in to Akatsuki. Could have also been a reason why Orochimaru joined assuming Madara has switched bodies before since Orochimaru would have wanted to advance his research using Madara's knowledge.

But then again, I don't see why Itachi would bother helping Madara unless he believes that the only way to evolve the Uchiha bloodline would be to allow Madara to take over Sasuke's body. Either that or Madara straight up coerced him to join.

Well, Kisame and Itachi faced Jiraiya before, and they got the shit beated out of them (well not really, but they ended up running). = Fear

Pein and Konan are students of Jiraiya. = Respect

Besides, just cuz they think they can beat Orochimaru doesn't neccessarily mean they think they can out Jiraiya. Of the 3, maybe Jiraiya is the strongest. Even though the 3rd said Orochimaru is the talented one ("He was special. A ninja that comes once every decade") the naruto theme obviously favors people who works hard over the geniuses. In that one battle when Jiraiya and the 5th went against Orochimaru with no arms, Jiraiya was drugged. So don't take it lightly that Jiraiya is sorry.

Sasuke beat Orochimaru going by Sasuke saying he absorbed him. **The white snake line** I took Madara's comments to mean If Sasuke stays the hunted( snake ) or becomes the Hunter ( Hawk ).

Their body language is veered away from minato and jirayai in some kind of regret/contempt look. man, the disrespect laid upon Rock lee's bushy brow is still one of the greatest tragedies of the entire series IMO. here you have a character who only wants to prove that, despite not being born from a genius family, not having some mutant eyeballs, not being possessed by some demon, gremlins, or other supernatural monsters, that he can STILL do the job. that job, of course, is being a ninja. of all places for this storyline to fail I never would've thought they would put him down like this in Japan, the country FAMOUS for weird shit and hard work.
