Naruto was beastly in the zabuza arc. If anyone read the manga from when naruto first started without the dub or fillers are any of the current stuff you would have noticed the drop in quality as well.

It went from being Ninjas who did missions that could be ambushed at anytime to dbzlike with huge energy balls and huge pokemonlike battles.

There are so good fights here and there but the story seems to never be able to get back to that point AND IN NO WAY SHOULD YOU EVER SKIP A WHOLE BEGINNING ARC OF A STORY.

If you don't think the zabuza arc is naruto greatness, then that's fine.....BUT you still shouldn't skip the first few episodes of naruto. They introduce all the initial players and set the pace for the rest of the series.

I think people are hard on the series, yes power battles are in the series but they space them out with stragedy fights. Stragedy fights still exist.

While that Zabuza arc was great, there are other great arc's in the series as well. For me, the Neji battle, 3rd Hokage death, and a few others are great as well.

It's a good Arc but I wouldn't expect a casual watcher to stick past the intro episodes, the reason why everyone likes the Arc is mainly because it tugged at your emotional heartstrings, and emotional arc rarely merit multiple views. It's just not the same after the first time.

BUT you still shouldn't skip the first few episodes of naruto. They introduce all ?

Naruto was beastly in the zabuza arc. If anyone read the manga from when naruto first started without the dub or fillers are any of the current stuff you would have noticed the drop in quality as well.

It went from being Ninjas who did missions that could be ambushed at anytime to dbzlike with huge energy balls and huge pokemonlike battles.

Well, the manga is still good. The problem with Shippuden is that the music isn't good like in the first part and the use isn't appropriate. In the first part every char had their own, sort of like background music, like in Marvel vs Capcom 1, and more than one version for different situations which you could identify with the character.

I just picked up this new Naruto Rise of a Ninja game for the XBOX 360. Hopefully it's good. The intro does look nice but the gameplay part has to wait as I go to work and then play some Halo 3 right after. After thinking about it, best fight is the 3rd vs oro. It was epic! Nice jutsu spaming! Enma(sp). The 3rd cared for oro so much, he was fighting his heart the whole time.
You could tell oro hated the leaf and resented the 3rd. Oro summoning the 1st and 2nd. 2 personal friends of the 3rd who prolly protected him more than a few times. They were summoned as drones and the only way to get rid of them was to imprison their souls. A tough fight for the 3rd. :angel:

in truth, I loved choji's fight too. that as well as my Queen Hinata pwning that bee thing in the filler. the only reason I didn't include them is because I know the majority didn't like it. most wanted to see choji die which I can kinda understand. me? To be fair it's only like 7 episodes, and the ending 3 - 4 are mainly about gaara/naruto. I thought it was a good display of the will of fire. :sweat:

I'm probably in the minority, but my fav fight in the series is Naruto vs. Garaa. Because of what was at stake, Naruto really got to pull out all the stops. True strength = protecting those that are important to you. I think this is a reason Sasuke could get denied his revenge. I'm just hoping kishi gets back to this message of the manga soon.

Anyhoo, I just picked up the manga vols. of 22-24. Shikamarau's fights are always enjoyable to watch. He played that cursed seal freak chick like the a sax. :rofl:

What Oro did to Naruto: He used a sealing jutsu on Naruto which made it nearly impossible for him to draw out the Kyuubi chakra, by effing with the original seal set by Yondaime that allowed Naruto and Kyuubi's chakra to co-exist and mix together.

The bite on Sasuke's neck: It was a Curse Seal, which gives Sasuke increased power by allowing him to draw out much more chakra then he normally has access to safely. But if he continues to use it, it will eventually make him unable to increase his chakra supply naturally and thus stunt his growth, as well as make him more susceptible to being influenced by Oro.

Rock Lee jumping in: Basically, he wanted to protect Sakura, as well as his comrades even though they were on another team because the Sound douchebags were gonna off 'em.

The Kid's arc rankings:

1.) Chuunin exam - Destruction of Konoha. This is the top arc, without question. Why? Because it introduces all the characters, their personalities, and this is where you come to love them. Gaara is never more badass than he is here. Rock Lee. Neji. Shino, etc., etc., these characters are what seperates Naruto from other shows and this is where they got their shine. This is the arc that put Naruto over the top for me. After Zabuza Arc I knew the show was good. After the exams I knew the show was special.

2. Sasuke retrieval. Gets no better than this arc. I have a hard time placing this below the chuunin exams, they're almost equal. I really have to flip a coin. Chouji's killer fight (Yes, he should have died). Neji's spider fight. Shikimaru's flute ninja fight. Gaara vs. Kimmimaro. Nuff said. The sand ninjas showing up being all badass and saving the day. Anyone who says they didn't go "Oh shit" the first time they saw Gaara show up during the Rock/Kimmimaro fight is lying. And, the greatest fight in the series: Naruto vs. Saskuke. Period.

3. Mist village arc. This is when you realize that Naruto is a show worth your time. One of the longest fights if not the longest in the anime. Zabuza and Haku do a really great job of showing you the potential the Naruto series had in the store. When Kakashi tells Naruto, "There are people in this world who are younger than you, and better than me," there's no way you could stop watching the show after that.

Sas had them, but didn't finish the job. nobody knows why and the writers, more or less, didn't explain. worse yet, characters who have little skill seem to increase in power unexpectedly. this was seen during the forrest of death area where again, Sakura of all people was able to throw a kunai hard enough and straight enough to pin a falling naruto to a tree, yet Ten-ten, her claim to fame being her acuracy, can't the broadside of a forrest. it's such a broken style that it often causes screams of "BULLSHIT!" when used.

Chapter Starts off with Jiriaya asking pain why he is only summoning and that even if Pain can summon humans he has no hope of winning against him with summons alone. Pain tells jiriaya that he has six seperate bodies each has the ability to summon forth one of the six realms into exsistance. Pain futher informs jiriaya that so far they have been fighting in the realm of beasts or the realm of summons. Its revealed that he opened the path way to this realm when he summoned the gaint lobster looking summon with the symbol the formed on the wall. Jiriaya states that this must be why Pain doesn't have to use handseals to summon. However Pain corrects jiriaya and states that when he opens the path way to one of the six realms he is able to automatically controll and use the powers that exsist with in the realm.

The body with the long hair stands up and walks over to the wall and forms a handseal...a new symbol shows on the wall, but this time nothing happens. Maa and Paa ask jiriaya if the jutsu failed and Jiriaya looks horrified says that they are already captured by the this realms power. Maa asks whats that suppose to mean and Pain tells her that in the first realm of exsistance the realm of hell he has controll of the pure esscence of genjutsu. Jiriaya's body begins to melt and he says that he can't move at all. The second body pain summoned puches jiriaya and maa/paa into a wall with increadible force. Jiriaya recovers and his body along with maa/paa's release a huge amount of chakra and the whole city scape crumbles away untill he is in a desolate field with a black moon. Pain is amazed that jiraiya was able to overcome his first genjutsu attack with pure force of will, but unfortunatly for jiriaya he has not yet overcome the realm itself. Chapter ends with the second body pain summoned taking the shape of Orochimaru preparing to attack jiriaya with Ksunagi sword

There's another similar spoiler only the summoned ppl turn into the 3rd and 4th. Because pein can visit death/hell (?) realm.

You might want to watch how you use that term.

Saying that Tobi is Madara is like saying that's cool to your friend and someone in Japan taking the exact translation and thinking that it means that cool refers to moderately cold.

Tobi said his power and after a slight pause Madara's power. This can also mean that Tobi is seeking Madara's power and intends for the two powers to become one, which may mean that he is not Madara (end of chapter 364).

At the end of chapter 370, Jiraiya says that he has a strong feeling Madara is alive, and then Tobi is shown on top of Madara's statue. This supports that he is Madara but does not confirm it.

This is similar to how everyone was running around saying that Pain was the 4th Hokage back then, and it ended up being that he was a separate student of Jiraiya. Don't throw around opinions as facts. Before you go around saying that the Jap Naruto forums confirmed it, try to remember that the majority of people that post on those forums are stupid (no offense to them) and you should process their information with caution.

Introducing so many god-like chars is just destroying the manga. The DBZ formula works great when used and Kishi said it himself that a lot of the stuff like the Lee vs Gaara fight was inspired by DBZ and it was used well, but lately I feel like he's beginning to abuse it.

I don't see a reason for introducing Madara at this point in time, save him for the next arc.

Next thing you know some other countries will get introduced from the outside and the new enemies will make Pain look like nothing.
