ack i need a new anime to watch. i just caught up in yakitate japan and finished watching tsukihime, which i thought was odd, but cool. ive seen just about everything mainstream and didnt really get into detective academy Q. sudgestions plz.

God damn Naruto is getting wack in both the Anime AND the Manga now. Hell I have to watch the dub to remind myself why I really liked it in the first place. That is how bad it’s gotten. Heck Naruto has dropped behind Bleach and HXH for me. And if Fate Stay night is as good as everyone says it might drop to number 4 or lower in the current stuff I am following.

First off the manga is dragging its ass. God damn when will we see Sasuke Vs Naruto Round 2 already. Then anime the filler is getting disgusting now. I just watched 180 and Lee the “no Justus ninja” can fucking cling his feet to the ceiling? When the hell was he able to do this? Wouldn’t that take chakra control on the level of most Ninjitsu? I thought he couldn’t do anything with his chakra at all?

Holy crap... I've been watching the series on CN and I see why lots of people like it. It's really kickass! However, I've been hearing all this talk about how the Naruto manga is getting stale in Japan and the anime is being polluted with filler material, so I decided to check out those manga scans out of curiosity. I wanted to see if it's really as bad as it's hyped to be.

Holy shit.... it IS that bad.

I felt exactly like Peter Griffin attending at a stage drama, because these exact words popped into my head...

"What the hell is this?! For crying out loud, somebody throw a pie!"

Well, in this case, I guess a shuriken would fit much better. Still... ENTIRE chapters where NOTHING happens?! I don't think I can deal with that kind of bullshit, especially in a manga/anime that has gathered such high expectations from it's fans!

I see exactly what everybody is talking about and if this snoozefest is where Naruto is headed, then count me out!

I'm sticking with One Piece (not the 4Kids version). At least Oda seems to outdo himself with every big story arc that he cranks out!

I'm on episodes 115 to 120something now...I'm not sure where the stale part begins, but damnnnn this batch of episodes has been too good. It's on the part where Sasuke left with those Sound ninja, and there is a battle between them and Shikimaru and His Amazing Friends. There's been some powerfully emotional scenes in this part of the story, too...beginning with Sakura's declaration of love to Sasuke before that chump left the village. On a sidenote...she is much cuter with the shorter hair.

Is it possible to get the "evil theme" they play for various dark tone/sinister/evil scenes? I've checked through every track on the "Naruto Original Soundtrack" listings on galbadia 's site, and Narutofan's site appears to have the same thing. Is it just not available? (I also didn't see that "Fighting Dreamers" song) I was going to just record the sound right off one of the episodes to get it, but it would be better obviously to have the music without soundeffects and/or talking over it. Anyway, this theme has been played for Orochimaru(*but it's not what is listed as "Orochimaru theme" or "Orochimaru Fight theme") It's really the best background music for a "something evil is happening" scene I've ever heard for an animated show. There's long(one approx. whole note per measure) low notes that eventually contrast nicely with higher whole notes that were played most likely on a flute or piccolo. The resulting sound is perfect and totally Ear-Delicious. Ah the manga really isn't so bad. If everyone just stopped putting so much focus on it like their lives depended on the next chapter they wouldnt be all like "omg this shit sucks Im never lookin at naruto again"(then they look at the next chapter anyway).

but yes, Guts is like, the toughest mofo in all manga. But unlike other characters, you'd never say "I wish I was like Guts", cuz godamn his life is no fun.

3 OSTs have been released thus far. There's a lot of tracks that still need to be covered, so it's quite possible that the one you're looking for hasn't shown up on any of the OSTs just yet.

The "Fighting Dreamers" song is called "GO!!"... it should be on there.

And reading what I can of the newest manga, it seems like Kishimoto's just stalling for time for XYZ reasons. It reads like "Reasons Why Dasrik Thinks Japanese Is A Stupid Language 101" - pretty much chock full of the hilarious cliches we hear all the time.

I actually don't mind a lot of the filler, although the writers of the current one are severely fucking up (run real fast no jutsu?!). Sometimes the voice actors help (like Shuuichi Ikeda in one last year). But overall, it tends to be really generic.

I just started watching OP. I finished the Captain Kuro arc last night. Damn that show is boring.

Are you talking about the track that sounds like a smoother/vocal-less version of orochimaru's theme? That plays when Kimimaro first activates the Gaia Seal against the (then)Sound 4? Also when Jiraiya reminisces about Orochimaru attacking him and leaving Konoha? If that's it, it's not on any ost released so far, I looked.

Or that one when Orochimaru first appears to Sasuke and Sakura, and then plays again after the killing intent by oro? That one hasn't been released either.

Rock's drunken fight with Kimimaru was probably the most hilarious fight scene I've seen since that time Majin Buu got his ass beat by some candy.

the voice dubs on CN are terrible. it totally ruins naruto imo. it's hard to convey just how funny the japanese voices are, especially where naruto is concerned. for example, i don't suspect that CN will have naruto address jiraya as "Ero-Sennin" :rofl: which he does constantly in the subbed version. maybe it's just me but i think naruto is a really good anime as far as how the story is done. it might not be as sophisticated as say, stand alone complex, and few shows are, but there are some good points to be learned from naruto if you're watching it with certain things in mind.

English voices aren't horrible, imo. I prefer the english Sakura, definitely. The original Sakura voice is whiny, highpitched, shrill, annoying, etc.....well, this seems to be how most of these japanese women sound for characters like that. I can't stand it. I don't like that high-pitched nonsense in porn either...I sure as hell don't like it on a simple animated show. Sasuke sounds pretty much the same, imo....Steve Blum as a villain always sounds great, the guy voicing Orochimaru only sounds a bit younger than the japanese version, and Kakashi sounds fine. The only one that noticeably sucks is the person that does Naruto. That particular english voice is quite annoying...

i thought the naruto movie was actually pretty good....definitely better then the first one....the only problem was its a bit anti climatic....which i imagine is gonna be the problem with all of the naruto movies....mainly because naruto is always gonna defeat the last guy.......not only that, but he'll do it pretty much the same way in every movie....ironically, i dont think naruto meshes well with the series at all....he's much too straight forward, loud, and predictable....not to mention that the 2 techniques he whores both encourage very direct methods of attack....all of which is very boring and un-ninjaesque....good job at being the worst character in your own series Naruto....

the closest he has ever come to doing anything ninja like was, the fight with Zabusa (the Shiriken), the fight against Neji (the tunnel Shoryuken) and this current filler (the Transform into a rock Shoryuken). Other than that he will always Kage Bushin and Rasengen that shit down.

But then again you could make the same argument about Lee as well. I don't think I ever seen him do any ninja sneaking at all just fight whoever it is head on.

Ok, finally sat down in front of my computer and youtube and give the Anime a spin. It's pretty good Im at episode 55. Here are my thoughts so far

-Rock Lee is beast, I love his attitude.

-Hinata is the best kunoichi on the damn show, and probably the most attractive.

I finally watched the movie and, well, damn. it was weaksauce IMO. The sand duo ( I guess everyone's favorite fan flinger, Temari was AWOL.) didn't get enough time. THey just pop in and out periodically throughout the show. not well-placed if you ask me.

Sakura.......................*vomits on some random dog passing by the computer.* Yep, she's still the same. Stupid, bitchy, weak, unnecessary, lucky, and most of all, an annoying pain that no medicne can get rid of. one thing I'm getting tired of is them throwing some decent nins to the wolves so that Sakura can get street cred as a fighter!!!! :annoy: oh. I'm sure she could outrun wolf-girl who had already tagged her worthless ass left, right, and sideways. and then, she's gonna lure her in-between the ONLY thing that could use her howl against her, collums of stone wind chimes? :wtf: Next frame please. my stomach is starting to hurt again......................................

Shikamaru, of course, held up well. once again outsmarting the enemy, despite the enemy having all the advantages except the one that matters. Him and Kankuro make a good team IMO. I hope they work together more often. Inter-villiage teams could become the new thing.

well, this is nothing that hasn't been seen before. Naruto jumps in. Naruto and main guy they've come to help don't like each other. Naruto and company meets main bad guy, who ironically happens to lead the damn place.........................Again. Naruto stumbles around the place ticking off everyone while the rest of the team figures out that all isn't quite what it seems. Everyone else figures out what the big, dark secret is while Naruto does his,"you don't have to be this way!" speech on the guy they came to help. Finally, the bad guy reveals his/herself, and is, SURPRISE!!!!!!, a very strong baddie who can wipe out the villiage. Naruto sees the guy/gal who's life he just changed get beat up (why don't these people ever die?) Naruto gets mad and attacks bad guy, getting stomped like a floor at a rave. he gets up, madder than ever, and throws out ANOTHER long ass, borring speech. the bad guy does the same thing in return, and then Naruto does the old signature move, Kage bunshin into the Rasengan FTW. *yawn*

...........................And at the end, everybody comes back, happy and healthy. The end. :clap: :clap: :encore: :encore: :clap: :clap: :woot: :woot: Seriously, it's time for a twist ending once in a while. hell, GITS:2nd gig did it, why can't the rest do it? It's things like that which make me long for the Kakashi Gaiden to hit the screen. it would've made a far better movie than this anyday of the week.

Final assesment: I did watch it, I did save it, but I wouldn't recommend it to any but the biggest of Naruto fans. if you're just getting into the series, you can skip this one unless you just need your fix.

I'm wondering if CN could show that one flashback where Iruka and the grey-haired guy run off into the sunset holding hands....'cause...that was...kinda gay... anyway, I'm on 149 now. I really don't care for the Iruka character....he's just not interesting. So, I viewed his fight scenes in these few episodes as a big waste of time. I kept wanting them to get back to some action involving those big fat guys. Even still, none of this is anywhere near as entertaining as that part where Shikimaru and crew have to go after Sasuke.

when Lee gets up at first in #50, that sounds like a piece of what I've seen listed as "Sasuke Destiny"...mostly the percussion part. I'm not sure what the slow, kinda sad theme is. Hinata is the queen of the naruto series. She is the one who will bring peace to the world of the hidden leaf village, and she is the only one who can possibly remove the scourge know as Sakura. She, quite simply, is the one last hope that will keep the series from turning into toilet paper with spikes in it.

Only thing is, this is all ANIME Hinata you're talking about. Manga version (the canon version, as we all know) has her doing...well, not a goddamn thing. No special ballerina version of Kaiten, no "potential greater than even Neji's", no fights since the Chuunin Exam, not even any screentime after the timeskip besides one cover and that 2-frame exchange when Naruto meets up with Kiba/Hinata/Shino.

I know a lot of folks here like her and all (most for a pair of obvious "reasons") but seriously, SHE HASN'T DONE ANYTHING. In fact, it wouldn't shock me in the least if she only got one more main fight in the whole series, max. She could probably be an awesome fighter, but due to the fact that Kishi doesn't really seem to give much of a fuck about her, she'll never get to shine. At least not brighter than the more important side characters/main characters, like Lee, Neji, Naruto, Sakura, Yamato, etc.

Kakashi is one of the strongest of Konoha's Jounin, he's at an exceptionally high tier, but not quite high enough to easily compete with Shinobi of the Sannin's caliber(and in turn, Itachi).

I think he'll be that strong when he re-appears for a couple of reasons:
I believe that there won't be too many more developments for Sasuke in Part 2, save for Mangekyou Sharingan, and the bond he shares with his friends/will of fire mess. Because while Part 1 centered around Naruto and Sasuke's growth, I'm expecting Part 2 to center mostly around Naruto's only, as he starts developing his skills enough to become the strongest of Hokage.
Putting Sasuke's skill level that high will give Naruto that much more incentive to grow. This, coupled with the dangers associated with Naruto's tailed transformations will provide good reason for him jumping from the estimated level of a High Chuunin, or Special Jounin/Low Jounin that we see him as now, to a level strong enough to take the position of Hokage.
A lesser point, but if you take a look at Kimimaro's stat graph, he was around that level. Taking Sasuke's Sharingan and talent into consideration, along with the fact that he has amongst the highest of potential of all the characters in this series, that he has a Curse Seal with equal power to Kimimaro's, and that he is now the same age Kimimaro was in Part 1, I don't think it's far-fetched at all to conclude that he will be at least that strong when he's re-introduced.

This ain't just about Sasuke's strength, however. I still think he'll be a springboard for Naruto's growth.

[EDIT] - Oh and BEWD: I think the chances of seeing a Mangekyou Sharingan technique that makes use of Sasuke's sword is now kind of unlikely... Well, not any kind of Taijutsu, anyways.

In the past, I was just kind of hype on ESM's theory, but there's no way a Taijutsu could work. Mangekyou Sharingan casts Doujutsu, how could it cast Taijutsu in any way? Seems like Ninjutsu and Genjutsu are the only two things that can be cast from Mangekyou Sharingan, so if Sasuke does gain his own original Mangekyou Sharingan Doujutsu, it won't be any kind of Taijutsu.

They showed him reacting kind of late possibly meaning that not only could he see Sasuke's movement when everyone else could not, he reacted with a counter of his own that nobody saw coming.
I fail to see how a late reaction could indicate any of that.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was a clone. I mean, he was using a bunch of clones to search the whole place, chances are its one of them who came across Sasuke. Part of me wants to believe that he will have the balls to make Naruto take an ass whipping before giving up. The other part of me knows that somehow Naruto will show some skills he's learned from the past 2 1/2 years and hold his own, and possibly even beat Sasuke... just like every other fight Naruto's been in.

Hell, if Sasuke has to go CS2 to win, Yamato is gonna have to lift that seal already.

If Sakura fails to help fight against Sasuke when the time comes, all of the development we've seen in her character so far in Part 2 will be meaningless. In my eyes, anyways.

So yeah, I'm expecting a show of power from Sasuke in the next chapter or two, but I'm not expecting any large scale fight either. I mean, Naruto's been gimped, and there's still Orochimaru(and possibly Kabuto) to worry about. I just can't see there being much of a fight here.
