i really wanna learn these charecters. can anyone give me some pointers? ill only be useing Leona as my leader, and ive got some killer combos and setups for her supers.... but i have no way to build the meter, if you know what i mean.

Leona has standing D to super. But do super with B, not D. If you're adevnturous:

D, cancel first hit to rdp + k, D again, qcb hcf + B.

With Athena, a good setup is A fireball to teleport to throw. Also, if they're expecting a Phoenix Arrow, throw a B one out, and after the lack of recovery, score a hit.

d+ C with Athena is great.

With Mary... shit, just do what I do to you. My Mary owns it.

IMO Leona's LDM is kinda well.......useless other then that ol' girl seems solid.

Athena is cool 75% LDM = Pain

Mary.......good luck, you'll be cool with just the "Nobody uses me" factor alone for like a week or 2 then folks will catch on.

i was playing gato and i threw out a stand D about 4 charcter spaces from mary and her LDM touched my toe and i got sucked in! :tdown:

she has got proitaty but she seems slow and now good damage or mixup

She's the SNK cammy and she's good as hell.

Mary is considered to be much weaker in 2k3.

Reasons:
Can no longer juggle off her counter
Lost bufferability on many moves
crappy grab DM- too slow

Mary was top-tier 97, almost a top-tier 98(definitely tourney worthy character though) , and upper-mid 99-2k2 (Still tourney worthy- esp as a counter character to some chars).
