Well, he doesn't seem to be overplayed, and he makes a solid leader. (compared to Gato, and Ralf anyway)

But I'm still pretty new with him, I haven't really touched him since 98, and all this new stuff is pretty cool.

What kind of combos are you guys using with him? I've been using low b x2, qcf A, but not much else.

Also, what kind of stuff do you use his command roll for? I guess you could cancel it off of an attack, but that doesn't seem to be worth it, from what I see anyway.

And lastly, any tips on landing the dp b/d throw? It doesn't seem to have a lot of priority and I have a little bit of trouble with it.

Thanks guys.

And just so I don't waste this post, try a late Air Shingo kick on those K' players who mixup their flame moves in the corner, it seems to knock him out of a lot of stuff.

I've used a little Shingo...

His j.D has great, great priority. I've never tried it against Jhun's j.D, but it must be close. I'm not too impressed with most of Shingo's pokes, but hop D is awesome.

Lessee... (gets mook)

Hop D, c.B (x2) -> Burning SHINGO

dp + K, qcf + C

C(c) -> qcfx2 + C, LDM

...yeah. Not the wildest combos around. Still, comboing into the Burning SHINGO off of c.Bs might be good.

I'm also curious about how to set up the dp + K throw.

dp+K isn't a throw...it's an overhead. And there isn't really a good way to set it up...just pray?

I used to use Shingo when I first started.

- The best you can do for a ground poke is qcf+A. You can keep doing it...it has semi-good priority; just make sure it hits near the tip so you can block upon recovery.

- As Circular said, short hop D is awesome. Short hop backwards D is a good way to get away from someone that's chasing you down.

- Don't Air Shingo Kick...ever. It doesn't have the range of the normal one, and has more recovery time. On the other hand...Shingo Kick anytime you're full screen and think they are about to rush...it has some priority.

- Shingo's LDM should be used as an anti-air only if it's a last resort or a sure thing. The angle makes it hard to aim most of the time.

It's the Enterbrain mook, entitled--I'm not sure where they got this--"Flame of Nova." I bought it while I was living in Japan. It's probably still available via amazon.co.jp.

Hey thanks guys, I really appreciate the help. I'll try out some of that stuff tonight.
