KOF 02/03 in the uk

Is this out over here yet for xbox? Cant seem to find it anywhere, and google is only throwing up US stores. Will a US copy play on a uk xbox or are they all region coded? Sorry for the noob questions.:rolleyes:

US copy won't play on UK Xbox unless it's modded, in which case, no online. I think Kneel is playing a US Xbox copy, he'll be able to tell you more.

KOF 2002 for PS2 is out over here though :tup: That's what I've been playing in the meantime.

Ive slowed down with this game now. Busy as always with CVS2 but playing a little SC3 aswell. I'll deffo be playing for a good while as long as I have ppl to play with on the official release tho. Looking forward to some KoF as it goes. My friends wont touch it :confused:

The HDD is my friend for most Xbox games so I have no idea about the disc thing. Still, its just over a month till released. So not too long now.

03 is more popular online, which is a shame because 02 is a far better game.

Kneel, it's the same deal here man. The only comp I've got is a King scrub who double fireballs everything :( And everyone here is playing SC3, so I'm kinda playing that at the moment. But yeah, let's play some games when it comes out :tup:

I've got my retail copy of KOF 2002, so it's bound to be in shops soon. Last time I spoke to Ignition, which was about a month ago, they said it would be in the shops on November 18th. I'm presuming this isn't the case? Has anyone had any luck yet?

well, i got KOF 2002 PAL version...

It's great, i could enjoy it more though...

i've noticed a strange thing: it seems that the game plays at 50 hz, really, it's too slow...

i have PAL SVC CHAOS too, and THAT runs at full speed, while my PAL 2002 doesn't...

am i the only one who noticed this problem? can i play 2002 at FULL speed, just like the romz?

btw, my xbox is already set on PAL 60 hz, so i really don't know what to do...

No, it's not just you, it runs at 50Hz. I don't think you can change it. It's a lazy conversion and what makes it really weird is KOF '02 for PS2 has 50/60Hz options.

The speed change screwed me up a bit too but I'm getting used to it.

Yes, the game is released, but it is really hard to find!

I got the game from www.bol.com. Maybe some of you peeps in the UK can order it there as well if you have problems finding it! I never saw it in any game store over here in Holland!

The game even has the Dutch language in the manual and at the backside of the box. It seems to run at 50 hz, wich is a little bit slower then I wanted, but damn we got the game!

I played a Japanese guy and got 2 seconds delay, and somebody from the UK and had the same connections that I got when playing CVS 2 wich is alright.

There are not many people to play, so make sure to ad people that you face online!

If anybody have questions about the PAL vcersion just ask me!

2003 should be released in a month or so as well! (still wondering why we didn't got the double pack over here in Europe.

ken_dong - sorry dude, completely slipped my mind. It's 50Hz or nothing. Factor in the lag online (which is constant, sloooow lag rather than 'spikey' lag) and we're talking, erm, 40Hz-type speed I guess.

Yeah, whenever I play this offline, it's the PS2 version. Not having 60Hz sucks. I still don't understand why PS2 version gets 50Hz/60Hz for KOF 00/01 and KOF 02 but the Xbox version doesn't. Maybe some here knows the technical ins and outs of porting to various consoles? Because I sure as hell don't.

Festival - all US stuff is 60Hz by default, if I'm not mistaken. Same reason that you need a NTSC compatible TV when you play American DVDs, VHS, etc etc.

So to answer your question, yeah, it is.

By the way (European) guys, I'll be playing this online tomorrow at 8pm. I'll be sitting around the lobby for a few hours or so, depending on the comp that's around. So far, it's been almost dead...
