Making a formal gripe

People that will literally sit on the other side of the screen and just throw fireballs at you till time runs out. I'm not gonna name names, but there are a few people here that do it. Why the FUCK would you do this? I CAN'T believe you find that "fun", so please fucking explain it to me. Is your pathetic rank that important to you?

Please grow some balls, stop being pathetic, and learn how to play the rushdown game like a real person. With some practice you might turn out better than the AI. :tup:

Whenever someone does that to me, I usually stick Robert or Ryo in my team so I can throw Haoh-Sho Ken's at them whenever I think they're getting predictable. Doesn't always work, but it keeps the match fun on my side.

KoF has a lot of mobility options. If the opponent is just standing on the other side of the screen, it should be possible to get in--roll through, hop over, peck through, duck under in some cases. Jhun's u + C in B stance goes over ground fireballs with careful timing. Chang has lots of moves with lengthy autoguard, some of those might work. Gato and Malin can fly sideways above the fireball.

As Rave said, Haoh Shikoukens break this strategy up, too. Same with King's LDM. I assume Ash's ball super goes through normal fireballs, although I've never tried it. Are Chizuru's images stopped by fireballs?

What specific matchups are a problem? Some characters (Robert, Ash) have good fireball games, but overall it shouldn't be too hard to get in.

Anyway...yeah, it sucks when some idiot does a dumbass strategy he learned from the computer and just spams fireballs all fucking day. He could be kicking my ass or at least trying to kick my ass, but no. The dumbfuck would rather stand back and throw fireballs all day, which indeed does take the fun out of playing against said opponent.
