Kim doesn't have any inifinates or unblockables. Also, only moderate strength. The only good combos he has is using his 3 attack string. But he actually has good priority, and can play both rushdown, and turtle, fairly well.

Fairly well? He excells at both if you ask me.
Now, why is everyone raggin on his combos? They are amazing. Does Iori have shitty combos just because his best involve the attack string? Shit no, Iori has great combo ability.
Infinites and unblockables shouldn't even be taken into account. That shit doesn't make anyone good, it makes a broken game.

If you're referring to kof2k2 Kim, he has infinites, but they involve bugs (the stomp infinite, which works until he has two stocks built, or his air qcf+K that freezes opponent in some circumstances). His comboability is top tier definitely, so you don't seem to know much at all about Kim. He has numerous 100% BC combos that are not that difficulty to do, and you can land them easily through various tricks (whiff sweep into f+B overhead on wakeup, BC, go into combo). His priority is quite good with some of his jumpins (jump A crossup, jump C), and his standing CD is very good, although slow. If you want to use this effectively, you'll have to stick it out on someone's wakeup, or do it from long range to force opponent to jump (in which case, you would anti-air them immediately with a charge kick). That other guy seems to know nothing about Kim.

He's talking about 2k3 Kim.

how does the whiffed sweep make the overhead connect into the MAX combo? I've seen in some match vids that he even has enough time after the overhead to run up to the opponent, and that confuses the hell out of me

The whiffed sweep is there just for mixup. You do a sweep on wakeup, but cancel it into the overhead. Normally, cancelling a normal into a command move makes the command move lose it's property (like overhead properties). However, this does not apply if the normal move you did whiffed. After the overhead connects, you hit BC, run up, then combo. This requires some practice though, the part where you run up. You can't waste much time or you won't get the combo in. The best thing to use after the run up is close C since it's unusually fast.
Edit: Offline, and on kaillera, kof2k2 is MANY times more popular than kof2k3. KoF2k3 is generally considered a poor quality kof. I'm actually surprised it has gained this much popularity on Xbox live.

i dont understand that either. the other KoF games sucked imo, i mean, they are slow and bulky. the reason i like 03 is because its fast and furious. i just dont get people...

Kof2k2 is pretty fast. KoF2k3 feels like the characters are tied down by weights...very stiff movements. The game also lacks a buffer system (from what I have heard/tested) so this makes many combos harder than they should be. KoF2k3 also removed a ton of features from other kofs, while adding a simplistic tag system, MvC style. It seems like KoF2k3 was more experimental than anything else, but the removal of the things that made kof2k2/98 so good was a bad idea. I could go on and on about the good things that were removed from kof2k3. 2k3 is just a very simplistic version of other kof games.

Emil is right, but I agree with Tolgata. No KoF sucked me in quite like 2K3 for some reason...
I guess just because it's online so it's so easy to find comp.
He's crazy please. He's crazy because he plays Poop-sticks the game too much.
Exactly how much laggier is Xbox kof2k2 compared to kaillera? Some of you should try out kaillera...I'd play on Xbox if I had one. My original reason to get Xbox was for GGXX #R until I found out it was a lagfest.

I heard the Xbox lag is actually worse sadly.

It depends, of course. But when averaged I'd say Xbox has far less lag. Less, and it's...a different, easier to deal with, kind of lag. It's hard to describe

KoF2k3 seemed lazily put together, with no CD attacks, and one throw animation per character. Dumbed down, really. 2k2 was/is great, IMO, but I'm waiting for Neowave..

I also didn't like how the majority of moves were now made too similar. I believe almost everyone has a qcfx2+P attack. Many character's moves were changed around. Also, many characters were lacking moves they already had...although that's technically true for kof2k2 as well, they had removed many moves that were in kof98/2k. I really didn't understand the reasoning behind removing Benimaru's dp+K from kof2k.
Also from what I hear, throws are broken in kof2k3...you can supposedly time a throw to always pick up a character on their wakeup, although this might apply to only some throws, like scum gale.
