i cried when edgar died and then the silent timer... how can they do that? i forgot all about his chubby little fatass that he was still downstairs.

this by far was the best 2 episodes.

i also think p gorath should be banned from srk. i didnt see the spoiler thanks to j. but after reading 1 page of flames about him, he deserves a ban. this is also why i watch the episodes on my tivo 2-3 days later then come post.

ok. i don't know the source on this, i've heard a rumour about this season being the last of 24. the rumour doesn't sound too credible; sounds like it might have been soem media blurb about last season's cliffhanger ending with jack's "death", but i don't know the source so i can't look into it.

i've tried some searching, but so far, to no avail, and i know if no one else can find an answer SRK will be able to help.

i'll post what i can find, but i'd be really pissed if they took jack bauer away from me. his K groove is so close to maxing out again.

^Yeah really. Didn't we all hate him for his constant screw-ups? He was after all the one who blurted out Jack's secret to the Chinese, which led to Jack having to fake his death, which is why TRIPLE P and THE BRIDE are dead today.

Maybe with the writers so trigger happy we're desperately clutching onto anybody who's still left from S3 or before. Which is now a very short list.

I think I realized something important though. It seems the writers only want to kill off characters who we don't want to see go. ...That is why it's imperative that we start the "I Love Kim Bauer Foundation" IMMEDIATELY. If we get started now, they might still have time to kill her off before this season ends.

Just caught the episode, it airs a little earlier where I live. I won't spoil it, but, barring a few not-so-unexpected deaths, it was fairly uneventful. That is, until the end which kinda caught me off guard. I won't try for the colorful commentary until everyone's seen it.

The hobbit finally makes up for his gheyness in this episode. Good shit.

Definitly the most emotional episode of the season so far. Alot of tear jerking.

Although I saw Murphy/Robocop's ressurection coming. I mean he is Jack's mentor, the only thing I didn't see coming was him getting Tony the way he did, until Tony actually hesitated.

If they kill Tony and anymore characters, I don't understand how there could possibily be another season. I mean Jack can take all this shit, but a lot of the rest of us are still only human.

This reminds me of NY Undercover... when you kill one or two of the wrong characters, and the show just never recovers. They're lucky Jack can carry this shit by himself.

i have this habit of holding my breath during situations in movies and tv shows like this...when characters dive under water and such... my ass would've been dead as soon as i got up those stairs. I'm surprised lynn lasted that long for being such a fatass.

I'm seriously bothered. I love this show and all, but I don't know how much more I can take.

I'm tired of writers always thinking tragedy = death. Tony's character was already plenty tragic - after having gone to jail to save his wife, having his wife leave him, then finally getting back on track only to have her killed in another terrorist plot. That's tragic enough. Killing Tony off is only tragic to the audience, and Jack. And God knows Jack's been though enough - his wife, Mason, Chappelle, Claudia, TRIPLE P and Michelle, and now his own idiot daughter hates him. Did we really need Tony too? It's a waste. And from the sounds of it, they're not done offing people either. Who's left? That we actually care about?

It's almost like they couldn't think of any other way to raise the stakes, so it was just time to start offing cast members.

The rampant deaths keep the show realistic. It shows you anyone can be touched (besides Jack). For a show that lives off suspense it needs that to have the audience believe anything can happen. It's part of the reason the show is so good. It has the balls to do what most shows wouldn't. The fact that there is a Psycho Jack is because the writers had to balls to kill Terri off and turn Jack into the not-so-typical tv hero. Now they're building up Robocop's villian rep by having do all his crazy shit which will be awesome for when Jack and him have their next shodown.

ok, here's my issue with tony's death, it was a throw away death. the security guards death was played out more tragic. security guard gets the cheese 'will you wake me when you get home?' thing from the daughter, tony gets stab, fall dead...no silent countdown, no real focus. yeah, jack held him and all, but it was so an end of the show throw away. edgar got an end of the show, focussed on all week in the media, depressing death, tony gets jack shit. his death is so thrown away that its disputed until its posted on the fox website...c'mon, is a silent countdown too much to ask for a guy who has been around since episode one?!? i love 24, buts this season has been a mix of 'lets rip off other season formulas' and 'who can we kill to make it shocking?'...i'm happy to see jack kicking ass and all, but i'm more than slightly annoyed with the handling of the stories this season...RIP tony, you deserved a silent clock...

Well now, i live in an apartment complex and we just got this letter!

Oh man, we just got back! Where to begin?

So we're driving around looking for the place, then we find the general area. We talked to a few people. One security lady said they are closing the street we were on at 6. So later we came back and the street was closed. After driving around for 5 minutes we found an alley that led into the street. We parked and walked to the closed street and saw some stuff in the dead end of the street (the circular dead ends of streets).

It was obvious this was the area, there were people and they were working on some stuff in the street. The main thing there was a big white round horizontal canister. We were hoping that was the thing that would blow up.

So that same security lady was nice and said you can stay but dont take pictures. Then another security guy said he asked the film people and they said its ok as long as we were down the street. So we went down the street and met a lady.

She was also nice and let us hang out with her, her job was to make sure nothing in her area messed up the shot, like people, cars pulling out etc. She said we could stay with her behind the building to watch (to stay out of shot).

We managed to pull some info out of her, which she probably shouldn't have done since she could get fired for it.

Heres what i learned. She said it was season 5 episode 20 that we were watching. Also she was on location with them earlier when they drove a car off a cliff into water. Also something about jack and audrey driving in a police car (which i think is the fake police car that was on that street as a prop, i guess in the story jack and audrey got there in a police car)

Oh btw, she said keith sutherland wasn't there, awww. Behind the cul de sac she said they filmed some scenes with the president logan and agent pierce guy in the presidents resort or something. (we'll get to that later)
The last bit of info i got from her, we all were talking to some location manager guy, and she mentioned how she was still watching season 3 so she tried not to pay attention to what the story was of what they are filming. Then she said something about "but unfortunatly i know about the big shock". I asked her about that and she said she'd get fined bigtime if she told us. But i forgot what she said after that when i asked her more about it, but it was something about someone being a traitor.

So then after about 20 minutes, they were ready to film! We saw fire behind the canister, and 2 guys in front of it with guns. Then they started shooting the guns and bending up and down (it was loud shots) then BOOM the thing blew up, it was so awesome. We were far but it SO looked like they got hit by the explosion, but probably not.

Then 5 minutes later while it was still on fire, we see a man run accross the street, then we here cut, then we see that again. We learned from the lady that it was jacks stunt double.

So we decided to leave, BUT we came back later!

The street was now open, and everything was gone from the street. So we go around the neighborhood (long story short, we found probably had the stages) and see no one inside the front office. We walk in and see a door say stage one or something and slowly walk in. We didn't see or hear anyone. Another door, we walk in, still no one.

Then we see a fake airplane, even with all the chairs and oxegen masks hanging down. We were confused that there was no one anywhere. So we explore some more and find another stage. This is the awesome stuff.

It looks like its the presidents resort the lady was talking about. We found the room where the president probably stayed, there was even a flat screen monitor on the desk as a prop! (dont worry we didn't take it). Then in another big fake room, it looked like some library with books everywhere. We thought we saw everything we could and and started leaving.

Well, i took some pics with my phone (bad quality), but i'll have to figure out where to send them since my phone doesn't connect to a computer. Maybe i'll post those sometime.

We now rejoin the JACK BAUER POWER HOUR right.... NOW!

We open up with CTU/umbrella tagging and bagging the victims of the T-Virus 2.0 before they can reanimate and eat the flesh of the living.
THE PSYCHO one watches as his best friend CUERVO TONY is carted away and is both saddened and pissed because he didn't get a silent clock.
CHERYL CROW informs him that ROBOCOP who managed to RC through a room full of government agents and get the fuck outta Dodge had left some info about some broad who might now the whereabouts of DRACULA and his crew.
THE PSYCHO ONE makes a silent vow to avenge his friend's death and his getting screwed of the silent clock and joins THE MANNING to take care of some business.

NIPPLE NECK is doing his best to hold shit down when BALL BUSTER comes waltzing in with her faithful WORMTOUNGE by her side and they promptly beast on the CTU survivors and take over the show.
CHOLE immediately bonds with WORMTOUNGE in her own charming way and a special friendship is born....yeah right.

Back at PRESIDENT LIMPDICK'S pad, HAL JORDAN continues to make monkey boy dance around like a puppet by telling him that marshall law is the only way to retain order and of course the fucking idiot immediately caves in even though IAGO and FIRST LADY SHIRANUI know he's getting punked. FIRST LADY SHIRANUI continues to debate why she married this frail little fuck twat in the first place and longs to be in the arms of the pillar of integrity himself, TRIPLE P.... maybe if she's lucky, she'll be killed off and she can join THE UNIT.
Speaking of PALMER, MON FUCKING TEL calls BADASS AARON with info that his big bro gave him that he has to get to the president and sets up a meeting with him. BAD ASS is reluctant, but then feels the touch of PPP on his shoulder and he agrees to meet him.

Meanwhile at some hotel, NATASHA and BOY TOY get finished doing the nasty yet again and she goes off smelling like feet and ass to DRACULA'S LAIR where she presents him with some random schematics that he needs to carry out his nafarious plans against all of humanity MUWAHAHAHAHA! Seriously, the only thing this fruitcake needs and is a twirling mustache to complete the package.

Back at the hotel JACK AND CREW come in to give the couple a special wake up call and chase BOY TOY up on the roof. THE MANNING gets surprised by BOY TOY'S vertical strike, but still manages to bust out a bad ass DOLEMITE karate stance!
JACK has him in his sights and finds out that BOY TOY is a german agent in "deep cover" to "penetrate" NATASHA'S..... operations... hee hee...
JACK demands that BOY TOY give up the info about her, but he refuses to do it. Then something incredible happens... instead of blasting his kneecap or carving out one of his eyes...JACK THE EVER LOVIN' PSYCHO FOR LIFE... makes a deal??? WTF???!
He offers to give up America's most secure wet list (which wasn't a list of porn like I first thought) that discloses the activity of every terrorist in the world.
BOY TOY agrees so JACK contacts SUPA HACKER CHOLE to hack into NSA and get the list. Only problem is, WORMTOUNGE has her key card on lock, no problem, CHOLE does the ol spill hot coffee in douchebag's lap and hack into NSA and retrieve the list while he goes off and washes his panties.
JACK now has the list and BOY TOY agrees to help get NATASHA.

At CTU, CHOLE gets busted and BALL BUSTER goes into a LEVEL 2 PMS RAGE ATTACK and demands that JACK give back the list or he's screwed.
Little does she know is that PSYCHO POWER instantly nullifies any and all ranting PMS female bitch attacks. He's tells her that he's going through with the deal and she can do two things: SHUT THE FUCK UP and LIKE IT.
She promptly does both.

BOY TOY meets NATASHA and works his pimp juice to get her out in the open. When CTU comes out, NATASHA panics, thinking it's that pesky moose and squirrel and tries to get the fuck out, but BOY TOY blocks her escape with is "magic stick".

JACK AND CREW round her up and BOY TOY jets off with the wet list and starts bragging to his german buddies about his prize, BUT little does he know is that JACK implanted a delayed INSPECTOR GADGET self destruct attack that destroys the wet list leaving the struddel loving, kraut eating, jew hating BOY TOY with a classic WTF face that on JACK can invoke in somebody.
To add insult to injury, THE PSYCHO ONE calls his cell and tells him he's just been PUNKED! HAHAHAHA!!!
BOY TOY warns JACK that he has now made an enemy of the LAND OF CHOCOLATE.
JACK tells him to take a number and get in line behind several billion chinese. GGPO, NOOB! ROTFLMAO!!!111

Back to MONTEL, who is on his way with his info is suddenly attacked by the freakin A-TEAM MINI VAN! MOTEL'S floors his foreign high performance luxury car, but it's NO MATCH for the power of the US BUILT MINI VAN!!
MOTEL gets blasted off the road and transforms into RUNAWAY SLAVE mode as he wavedashes into the woods while hooded white men with guns give chase!

Back to JACK AND CREW, the PSYCHO ONE agrees to NATASHA'S demands for immunity and she begins to give names and locations including the supplier of the schematics who happens to be........ SHERYL CROW!!! HOLY SHIIIIIT!!!
JACK immediately pins NATASHA with a PSYCHO GRAB, but sees that NATASHA is telling the truth.
Suddenly there is a tremendous upheavel of PSYCHO ENERY inside THE PSYCHO one as the glint of pure rage is present in his eye and somewhere in a small village in India, a sacred cow's head explodes just as the village elders have prophesied.

MY GAWD has Sheryl Crow done sold out her country?? Will CHOLE and WORMWOOD have a final showdown? How close is DRACULA in turning LA into another RACCOON CITY? Where the fuck is ROBOCOP??

Here' the thing, the nerve gas incident although horrible, was NOTHING compared to the shit in Season 4. Marwan beasted all over them and nearly brought down America itself, not just LA. Heck even Season 3 had more potential casualties too.

I don't think they would have made the armory (MGS?!) in time, especially fat-ass Sam. The instant Samwise opened the door to open the program, the nerve gas entered their default room. voodazz recap is top-tier as usual. (He always spells it CHOLE, I personally think it's funnier that way) ...Better than this season is shaping up, actually. This literally is the Transformers The Movie/End of Evangelion season of 24, and as Mr. Horse from Ren and Stimpy would say, "No sir, I don't like it." It was more exciting when we were worried that these characters were going to die, not with them actually dead and the cast of people left to root for is getting thinner and thinner.

This would be my ideal season finale for 24...

With everyone in Los Angeles dead except for terrorists (and I mean everyone...Buchanan, THE MANNING, SHERYL CROW, Kim, CHLOE, etc...) Jack is forced to call the one number he swore he would never dial. In mere minutes, his old friend ANGUS MACGUYVER arrives on the scene, and the two cut a swath through any and all terrorists, potential terrorists, terrorists in training, people who have even considered terrorism, and people who once played as the terrorists in COUNTER STRIKE. ...Of course being careful not to touch and form the ALLMIGHTY MACBAUER, which would destroy our known universe.

However, after it's all done, Jack is consumed with grief over the deaths of all his friends. He is possessed by the SATSUI NO HADOU and becomes EVIL JACK. MACGUYVER is forced to do battle with him! The Earth crumbles around them as the two mighty giants have it out! MACGUYVER realizes that there's only one way left to save the EARTH, and subsequently THE UNIVERSE. He takes a YU-GI-OH card, some CHEEZE WHIZ, and a TOENAIL CLIPPING to form a QUANTUM LEAP and throws himself and EVIL JACK back to the beginning of this day!

MACGUYVER goes to save TRIPLE P, THE BRIDE, and CUERVO TONY before any of that shit can go down. EVIL JACK goes off to fight against ROBOCOP. But ROBOCOP senses the massive DISTURBANCE in THE MASON and prepares by putting on his FULL METAL BODY. ROBOCOP and EVIL JACK have a massive battle, in which Kim and PRESIDENT LIMPDICK are killed (don't ask me how, they just are). EVIL JACK and ROBOCOP's ANTI-PREP and ANTI-ANTI-PREP powers cancel each other out and they both destroy each other!

TRIPLE P meanwhile senses all the evil in the world (and the lack of badassedry to deal with it) and recruits THE PSYCHO ONE (in this timeline...he hasn't become EVIL JACK yet) to form the TRIPLE P UNIT, a TERRORIST ASS-KICKING BAD-ASS UNIT OF BADASSEDRY. THE MASON and CHAPPELLE.EXE come back as commanders, and YUSEF, KATE WARNER, CLAUDIA, GUILE, and THE MANNING form an elite STRIKE UNIT FORCE.

And in the final scene, CHLOE realizes she's pregnant...but hasn't even had sex! (no, it definitely wasn't ROCKSTEADY...) It is an IMMACULATE CONCECEPTION...in 9 months as the prophecies have predicted, she will give birth to THE ONE who will bring BALANCE to THE MASON.

in book number 5, everything goes wrong and bad with harry when they get a new principle. now in 24, everyone is dying and everything is going wrong for jack. hes not getting as much control cause he doesnt work for CTU. he is losing friends like potter did. if this goes on, that means jack will have to duel with "ULTIMATE MAN" in season 7. and in season 7, CTU will NOT be involved with anything because it book 7, harry doesnt go back to hogwarts. he just takes his two friends ron and hermionee (chloe and curtis??) to fight the enemy in a different world.

Seriously though, the way this info came out was too...what...anti-climatic? If she really was the traitor, we would have seen her do something shifty, like they did with Nina in S1, IAGO in S2, and all the other traitors since, I dunno I lost count.

Obviously, the point here is to have Jack go beast mode on her even though she's innocent, and although this will be found out later, the fact that he didn't trust in her will forever ruin the relationship. ...Obviously the writers have decided that Jack doesn't need anyone in his life, and are just gonna prune the whole cast of characters (except for Kim apparently...)

She's being set-up by someone else. Someone who wants to get at Jack specifically.

Which brings me to something I've been wondering for awhile now. ...Who was it exactly who not only knew that Jack was alive, but knew that Tony, Michelle, Chloe, and Palmer knew as well? There's obviously something very wrong on the inside.

...At this rate, it'll be Chloe who is the traitor. :bluu:

Anyway, if you were to rate the 24 seasons up until this point, how would it go? Mine's like this...

S2 -- S3 --- S4 -- S1 ----------- S5

So far at least.

That's interesting, for me it's S4 > S2 > S3 > S1 >S5. Season 4 wins it for me because of SRK review assist and the fact that Marwan was the most destructive villian yet + ONE BILLION CHINESE.:rofl:

Geez wtf happened here.. first off anyone else in the know about chemical weapons put off by how they've treated the nerve gas? CTU and all of its exposed equipment should be forever contaminated and toxic at this point, and nobody should touch anything unprotected.. but two hours after the full-blown attack, everyone resumes business as usual. This is NOT the outcome I expected when I finished ep. 13..

Second.. c'mon, Tony deserved at least a Mason-like end.. I got spoiled way before I watched the episode, but I expected Tony to sacrifice himself and fix that computer terminal instead of Lynn.. or, say, Murphy wakes up and attacks Jack, then Tony gets killed by saving Jack's life.. nope, he gets the obligatory 00:59 cheap thrill and Murphy just awakens outta a coma and Ninja Vanishes the fuck outta CTU.. and no silent clock only added insult to injury (fatality?).

Season 3 did such a better job of 'purging' the main cast it's not funny..

With 9 episodes left it's pretty obvious that Audrey ain't the traitor.. if Chloe ends up being the fucking snitch I ain't buying the season DVD.

i've decided henderson is like venom to jack's spiderman. he has all his powers and abilities, but on the flip side. jack got the upside of the schwartz and henderson got the downside...my new list of many names for henderson:
buckaroo aka robocop aka shin anti-jack aka venom aka henderson...someone mentioned the boos, but i've never played mgs, so i don't get the reference...
