I too use to complain about it a lot, too. But then realized it really doesn't matter. Only gets a bit boring when you constantly play the same character.

Just as Sabre said, Ken is the only top tier Shoto ... Urien, Dudley, Chun li, Makoto, Yun, and Yang are all better than Akuma and Ryu (Tier wise).

I mean...I get tired of people using Ken all the time like many. Though if they are skillful with that character then that's all I care about.

I'm a Ryu user myself but I usually pick Dudley first. If someone is using a shoto too much and it annoys you go to another match. It can be annoying at times but doesn't mean they're bad players. I've fought some great shoto players.

Skill and having fun is what matters not characters. If the person your playing isn't skillfull enough and/or your not having fun then move on. I do, everyone else on SRK I'm sure does.

I don't know about anyone else but I took great pride in destroying a Ken scrub and then at the rematch screen, quit. It's funny because I'd usually be "beating them to the Quit selection. That was the best part.

Especially when you are using someone shitty like, say, all my Characters I use (Twelve, Remy, Q, Elena, Alex).

Shotos are pretty annoying sometimes, but when they're scrubs they're so easy to beat. You jump in and just parry once because they do c.hp or shoryuken. Perhaps full screen hadokens! Not to mention predictable sweeps, which pretty much every character can punish some way on block, even.

Good Kens are really annoying, though. Even if you're just doing footsies, you can't throw anything out that isn't safe, or SHIPPU IN THE FACE~
