I inquired about making this thread here since it doesn't actually deal with the SF comic, but since most of the collectors reside in this forum, and the topic would probably die pretty quick in GD I decided to make it here.

So with that out of the way feel free to post up pics of your collections, rare figures, etc. I'm interested in seeing what everyone else is and has been collecting. I'd also like to get a request or some sort of look out going for figures that people have been having a hard time finding. I come across shit all the time that I know people were looking for, but had forgotten when and exactly what topic they had asked in. Hopefully we can help each other out in that regard.

If anyone knows where I can get a Resaurus Player 1 Necro figure please let me know. Closest I got was a "Buy It Now" Only auction on ebay for $150.00.......a LITTLE too much I think.

Looks pretty sharp. I have a couple of SF figures from the recent batch, but they are kind of stashed away somewhere until i get bored of the way my room is set up. It's pretty barren right now.

Really awesome God of War poster though! I'd never seen that whole image before. Dude you should make some GoW combo videos. You still have capture equipment from back when you were making SFEX3 combos right? There are a lot of places where you can set up huge combos in GoW. Just an idea. I'm sure you could get it hosted on ComboVideos.com because they're always looking for unusual new content.

Some cool stuff. I like the GoW standee. Alas, my DMC3 Dante standee is superior (it's Dante...come on, you know he's cool).

Unfortunately, most of my figures (SF, Advent Children, Naruto DX etc) are in storage as I currently don't have the space to put them anywhere. The only ones on display, and out of the box are my DMC Takara figures, a couple Naruto gashapon ones and the Marvel Classics Figurine Collection (where Doc Ock is seemingly doing something to me Sakura who is leaning on him...dirty Ock!)

Thats cool, I'm a fan of DMC as well. But Dante over Kratos? C'mon now. The pretty boy could never take the brutal bad ass out. :razz:

The standee you have, is it the same as the box art? I never saw a standee for DMC3 when it was in stores. I used to see this kick ass Dante statue with him sitting and resting his hands and chin atop Alastor while holding the shotgun. It was a bit pricey back then and even more so now.

I just bought a player 1 resaurus necro to add to the others i have(ryu, ken,akuma, chun li, alex, vega).

As for the Sota figs i just ordered a series 2 & 3 bundle(along with the necro).
From sereis 1 I only have Bison, and Chun Li. Dose anybody know where I can get the white ryu, I cant find him anywhere(everybody's sold out).

I'll post up pics of the Necro(and my other Resaurus figs) and my sota figs when I get them.

There was also a online store which had white Ryu listed, but I emailed them and sure enough it was just lazy updates not taken care of. Ebay seems to be the best bet right now, I directed quite a few people to auctions ending late at night and they were able to sniper them last minute at good prices. Where did you get your Necro figure? I've seen only one ebay listing lately and the dude is asking $150.00 for it!

He's coming over tommorow(he lives like 3hours away from me) and im gonna buy it from him for $50.

I've also seen that Dante statue you're speaking of. I so want to get it, but £180 is just too damn expensive and there's lots of stuff I'm looking to get (Dirge of Cerberus OST, KHII OST etc). Besides, I'm pretty sure I could do better than £180. Still, it is one awesome looking statue. Still need to get that Dante action-figure actually. But, more importantly, why wont they make a Vergil one?! I'd much rather have Vergil (one of the main reasons I got the Japanese promo poster for DMC3 and have like 4 UK ones).

Now that Christmas is over with I was able to reclaim the fireplace mantle where I displayed most my figures until I can actually get my display shelves. It's filled to the rim with all 3 rounds of Street Fighter, a few ML X-Men, some Berserk figures as well as Master Chief and Kaiyodo's Gungrave and Gazelle the Peacemaker.

What's killing me is that I have like 15 medium sized boxes between myself and my wife that's filled with figures and collectibles sitting in storage that I want to get out.

I know exactly of the DMC statue you guys speak of - I used to work for the company that produced it, and the action figures. Yamato had protoypes of Series 2 shown at SDCC'05 showing Virgil and a smaller version of that same statue. Nice looking stuff but Kaiyodo (or was it Kotobukiya) already showed prototypes of their DMC action figures (which look far superior). Looks like 2006 is going to be a DMC kind of year!

I have all the DMC figures, I didn't realize that Dante was going for that much. I even have all three Marionettes still in package that I'm waiting to open up and display. I bought mine directly from my work luckily because I never once seen a Dante figure on the pegs.

The DMC figure that Kotobukiya (possibly) is producing is a fully-articulated figure, not a statue figure like Toycom's were. Looks to be based off DMC3 Dante too. Saw lot o' shoulder, elbow and torso joints so it should rock.

Need some help guys, I have an idea and I was wondering if you could post up some opinions, or even answers for that matter. I decided to get an extra SOTA Sakura and have it repainted to truly look like Dark Sakura. I have this one image here for a color reference, but I wanted to get some exacts before I go ahead and start.

Ok...

1. The skirt and collar, should I do them dark gray or black?

2. The hair, leave it as is in the package, or should it be darker?

3. Her skin, is it supposed to be tan, or should I darken it up even further to have that slight red to it?

4. Do I leave her eyes or do I color them in solid red like Evil Ryu?

Trying to get this as accurate as possible so feel free to nitpick and go into detail with any answers. I know it's kinda cheating and it's not a real variant, but after seeing that Shin Gouki has no original text or pic I decided to add a Dark Sakura to my collection.

Its strange how Necro P1 being so high in value. Was that after Street Fighter III was released on PS2 and XBox? I remember paying £4 (which is less then $10) when the old Forbidden Planet in New Oxford Street was an outlet store, used for getting rid of older stock.

Anyone collect figures other then Street Fighter?

To answer your questions on Dark Sakura:

1) I would go for dark grey, unless you use a very matt black. Black paint on figures tend to end up being glossy and thats not the way they should look.
2) Darker skin tone, she is "Dark Sakura" after all, hahaha.
3) I'm not 100% sure what you mean but I would make distinct parts a darker colour. Do you have the "Dark Ryu" figure? Something similar to the way the skin tone is used might work (although the face isn't really touched up on that figure)
4) The two heads she comes with have a light, positive expression on them so maybe painting them solid red may be best? I don't know, there's barely much source material based on her, its hard to say whats accurate.

Ah, I'd do anything to get the last 3 RE Palisades figures. I'm missing Zombie Cop + Licker, Alexia and RE1 Tyrant. I've gone on eBay so many times but always miss out. Those vinyl and resin statues are nice looking, did you get the Nemesis resin bust?

I forgot to mention that along with those figures I showed, I also have the 12" Claire Redfield CV DRAGON figure, RE4 Jacketed Leon and SOTA SF Ryu 9" all kept in box (kept seperate from the display)

Yeah I got the Nemesis bust, and also the resin Claire holding the gun downward. I never knew how expensive those Palisades RE figures were until SMB pointed it out to me. I had just pre-ordered all the sets when they were available. I think I'm still missing the CV Zombie variant, comes with an alternate camo pattern. I did get the EB Exclusive Nemesis with the tentacle coming out of his hand, the Zombie Cop variant in the blue uniform, Wesker with the no sunglasses head attached inside the package, and the bloodied Leon and Claire figures.

I'll try and dig them out this week for pics, I managed to get these unreleased resin RE statues, one is a Licker kinda crawling on one hand, about 12 inches long without the tongue attached, and another of Marvin the zombie, I think he's the one in RE2 that you meet when you first get to the RPD Station.

I've been keeping an eye out for Palisades RE figures as of late, I'll be sure to post any findings on here ASAP for those looking.

I was in Hot Topic the other day (hangs head in shame) and I saw they got in the MK Shaolin Monks Sub-Zero and Scorpion 2 pack. I was gonna snag it to go with my Liu Kang and Kung Lao 2 pack but they wanted $30.00 for it. :bluu: Truth be told I'll probably break down and get it this coming weekend, but still. Strange that these 2 packs are out but the single version of the 4 aren't due out til the end of the month. It's a shame that Series 1 looks like COMPLETE ASS considering these look pretty decent and Series 3 Reptile and Noob look great.

You know, I really wanted those but was only interested in Guy, Alex, and Ryu. I had preorder on HLJ.com a whole case but the only problem was that the darn thing costs $70USD shipped. I canceled my order when these were shipping out from HLJ because I didn't feel like paying $70 just for three figures.

I'm really deterred from getting even Guy, Alex, and Ryu. Even I didn't feel like paying $40 for just three of those guys on ebay.

The Capcom Fighting Jam Posing figures are awesome but I'll keep looking for a good deal before buying them.

Hmmm....Unifive isn't putting out any new DBZ Posing figures. I want some more.

I missed out on the DB Namek Star set, I can't find a colour set at a decent price now, I shouldn't have waited but not overly fussed, I'm running out of shelf space because I'm getting BANDAI's DBZ Intense Fighting gashapon instead (y'know, the stand nice painted and detailed, static posed single figures). I converted the HK to dollars and its roughly $110.00. The more I thought about it though it's not worth it.

1. It's EX2 style, EX3 style Kairi would have been MUCH better.

2. It's not detailed enough to justify that price. I'm guessing it's so much mainly because EX merchandise is so rare.

3. It's small, only 20cm.

I could probably make a better Kairi than that, I would have to find another resin model that kinda fits his body type and that has no shirt or shoes, and just pants. The head would have to be custom made from scratch though to accurately capture him. I'd also definitely buy a Gouki model to to go with and customize it to be laying dead at his feet.

In the Akuma and Fei-Long cases I agree with you, but I'm pretty sure that Birdie's default color in the game is blue-ish just like the standart sota figure (not the grey/black-ish you posted above)

I did some searching and referencing and I think it depends on the source. I found lots of images like this showing him in the blue:

However, when selecting the default color in the actual game I got this:

I guess it's just a matter of preference wether or not you want to go by the art or the actual game. Come to think of it, Goukis default should be dark gray, not black. Why they chose the SvC default as their original is just sad though. I believe that even Shin Gouki was colored using the SvC palette. :shake: Didn't the original Shin Gouki in Alpha 2 have a purple gi and red hair? I also noticed that half of the Gouki variants have rope belts and the others traditional, guess they went for 3S and ST.

I've always heard him referred to as Shin-Bison but that's probably the Japanese version, through the US it would probably be Psycho Bison. I've never heard the "True" title before.

Really though, aside from the color variant, are there any normally unavailable figure in the SOTA set? I noticed some posters had pictures of an Akuma figure (without the grey SF3 hair) and a Morrigan figure as part of their SOTA collection.. what are those?

And what's the deal with evil Ryu? Is he just a recolored Ryu from Round One? He seems to have a different face though...

Well, there will be 7 different versions of Akuma, all of them will be sold on SOTA's website especially the two different Shin Akuma figures. Morrigan is a part of their new Darkstalkers line which should be out by summer '06.

Evil Ryu is a repaint of the basic Ryu witha new head sculpt and different paint job and a glowing fist accessory. There is, I think, 3 or 4 different versions including one exclusively for Japan.

Those Ex-Treme Toys are just recast SOTA figures sold just for larger retailers who don't want to sell the $13.00 version. They suck.

*EDIT* Nevermind, I was depending on my superior toy collecting geekiness to answer that one. That 2-pack you see was supposed to be a bloody battle Ryu & Sagat Toyfare Exclusive but Capcom said no to the whole "blood" part and SOTA sold it as just a 2-pack for that site.

Ken shouldn't be too tough to find at a reasonable price, and last I checked Bison is about $30.00 on ebay. Thinking of getting another Bison myself and customizing him into a Shin Bison.

Hey I got another question regarding some colors on a character. I decided that I'm gonna try and make a custom Violent Ken out of a regular one. I was looking at some SvC pics and the default color is basically a slightly different shade of red, the 2P costume is much better IMO:

Ok I see, it must be me having never actually seen "series 1 Ryu" aside of pics.
Anyway I just pre-ordered the thing, can't let them go this time around. Now that we're on the subject I would've loved to see Sagat resembling his SF2 appearance, with a somewhat darker tone of skin and red lines in his shorts instead of yellow but whatever..the figure is still neat IMO.

I like both Bisons, though I kinda like the Alpha one better just because I've been exposed to him more... in the SFII series, he barely had any lines of spoken dialogue... His alpha incarnation made him look much more of a character, I think...

My cousin and I are gonna start the custom paint jobs on Dark Sakura and Violent Ken soon. We have Dark Sakuras colors down pretty much, but I still haven't decided on Kens. I do know that his hair is gonna be grayish, his gi will be a shade of dark gray, belt will be black, (was thinking of red but I think he'd look too goth that way :tdown: ) eyes red, but I'm still uncertain on a skin tone. I was thinking of doing it a pale gray, but then I'm thinking perhaps tan, a tad lighter than say Goukis. Heres the pic I was going by, but I need some suggestions for the skin color. Definitely can't leave it flesh like it is now.

I also noticed after opening it that it's going to be quite easy to rip the hair of of both heads, gonna switch the screaming head to have the default ones hair.

I'm curious about Round 6, I was hoping to secure Honda and Dhalsim but as someone pointed out, the line will most definitely lose popularity once the ST cast is complete, so best case scenario is we get Honda and Dhalsim in this round and in 7 to stretch it out, all the while assembling the missing Alpha cast and some 3S. I'm praying that we see Necro, Urien, Dudley, and Q before this is all over, or at least some of them. As for Alpha I'd like to see Karin before they start with Chun Li and Cammy variants.

SOTA's already stated that they will produce every SF figure possible with the exception to EX, and they've already had plans on producing thin versions of each figure from SFII so we have a ways to go. Ok, since you mentioned it I've been thinking of ways to make him. I have an old Gigantor model I'm thinking of using for the mech arm, and the eye piece would be pretty simple to make. I'm still thinking about the spiked shoulder though. You know, if you don't want it carded I can easily do those wings, they'd be thin, but I can definitely get the shape. When Gouki is released send me an extra one I can start him if you like. It will have to be in a month or so though as I'll be gone for most of February on vacation, assuming Round 4 is out by the end of February.

Yeah, thats where I snagged my extra Sakura and Ken. I never saw Series 1 in stores again though, a month after the release that was it. You should go back and clean them out, white Ryus are going for $50.00 and up online, cash in while you can.

Hey, does anyone know the real story behind the Thanos statue by Bowen Designs? I've been reading that most of the statues were put into the boxes too quickly after being painted resulting in it smearing and being ripped off. I was wondering if the higher priced ones online are worth it as the sellers guarantee perfect paint jobs. Anyone have any info on this as I REALLY want to get this bad boy ASAP. :wow:

Just got my SOTA Dark Sakura today and at first I couldn't even tell if it was a variant or not. IMO they just didn't put the "Dark" in her. I'll post more comments later when I have time.

I have the Red, White, Purple and Yellow Sota Ken Variants. That's all.

Big fan of the Resarus series. I have only the Akuma Jr. opened sitting on my Tv and my brother has some from the Regular Resarus Series opened. I actually like those best and wish I got my hands on those when I had the chance.

I also have The Ryu and Ken figures they sold at Kay-B-Toy's (2 for $10) They're opened sittin' on my TV as well.

I'd collect more but it's just a Costly hobby that I sometimes can't afford. I'm hoping to find some good stuff at the Acen Convention when it comes here in May. :smile:

Yeah, I keep mine sealed, on rare occasions I'll get 2 of something so I can open it up.

That's very true. They aren't. I love toys and all kinds of Figurines and as my good man FCEEVIPER said up there "Gotta let'em Breathe" ;)

I also gotta mention that I have the Small Anniversary Edition Akuma Bust. Nothing special but it's nice to look at. I have some Spawn Figures aswell. As for Akuma Jr, I take him with me to Tournaments (Halo, SF, Etc.). He's like my Buddha.

I finally got all my suff off my 60" TV and into a decent bookshelf from IKEA. Got my few TF's and Alternators on the top two shelves, my 9" scale figus (Berserk, HALO, Gungrave & Gazelle the Peacemaker) on the next, and all my SOTA SF's and Marvel Legend figures on the third. That shelf is packed but thanks to a trade from a boardie from Spawn.com, I just received Sabertooth, Juggernaut, Captain America and Iceman to help fill in my MvC roster. I'll try to post some pics soon, it's only one shelf so there's not much too look at but mywe'l be buying another 3 shelves later on so my wife can bring out some of her stuff.

I'm happy. Got the US release of Cloud and Fenrir bike today. It retails around 55 dollars.

His head sculpt is significantly better than the original jpn version. And the sword is now better. (more fancier, bigger version) I saw online where you can purchase the newer head and sword as separate assessories too. (for those who have the jpn version)

Also got a CFJ trading figure of Guy. Those figures that can be posed to reinact a signature move of their's.

eBay un/fortunately. I managed to snap up a Series 1 P1 set for around £45 ($100 or so) about 2 months ago. From what I've seen Ryu and Sagat go for more than Bison. Not sure on Ken, mind you. Probably not too much. Check www.half.com as well.

2 isn't nearly as bad as they made many more than Series 1, might find some in Hot Topic, but online for sure and failry cheap.

3 is everywhere by me, and online should still be normal price.
