welps, as promised, the new year is here, and if i'm ever using yun or ken, i'm doing so to win. so, the bounty is on and if you can take a match from those two characters, i will give you mad props. the only condition which i would ever reneg, is if the lag is so terrible that i cannot perform at all. :looney:

catch me on live whenever...i should be on today after 5pm (my GT is 'mad evil monkey'). beat me convincely enough, and you just might appear on the 'tournament caliber players list'...:nunchuck:

i'll be posting scores here...match sets go up to 10, more if i'm in the mood. :) happy hunting!

Can anyone take a swing at ya? I wouldn't mind facing a really good Ken under (almost) tourney conditions, just to learn stuff. I don't stand a chance of actually taking any rounds :)

damn man- your game is so solid.we had alot of close ken matches but geez you always edged out the win lol.what do you think my weaknesses are?some of the yun/yang shit was pissing me off. its impossible to react to dive kicks online and when i was in the corner that crossup kept fucking me up.it seems alot of the time its just smart to hold forward to block against yun especiaslly cuz it always feels like im behind on inputs even tho our connection is pretty decent.great games nonetheless.

Your weaknesses are that you spazz out underpressure and you leave your self open alot on wake up oppertunities. You tend to parry alot as well on wake up. WHen you play chun you always mash lp, c lp and thats soemthing you might wanna chill on cause you give free meaty attacks. You like to wake up as well. and you have no air defense. Thse are only things i have seen ou tof you when we have played b4. you throw out srks like its the best thing ever in which online you would get punished each time.

My advice to you would be to look at how you play. Only then can you see what your weaknesses are. You had others but those were the ones that inoticed every time we played. Hope this helps. laterz

Im not too sure that I try to parry that much(only fbs and shit) and im not too worried about chun since i play ken.maybe i should chill out when waking up sometimes.kens dp seems unreliable against certain characters while jumping in. useful input would be appreciated.

Red parrying is hard online...henceforth fighting Yun is too uphill. Try and improive your basics. Dont worry about being beaten by a very good player, much less a Yun online.

BTW not saying Yun gets way better with lag or anything, but he is one character that red parrying makes a big difference against which is hard online. Didnt want this messgae to seem like i was ripping on Exodus, I've heard he is real strong, but have never had the chance to play him.

well i don't mean to downsize redparrying, but yun is double edged online. lag prevents him from closing any openings left with dive kick -> ground string combos. i find myself getting thrown a LOT after dive kicking, simply because i either cannot time my jab short strong properly afterwards, or the dive kick doesn't hit where i want it to (thus letting the opponent recover in time to punish me w/ throw/srk/super).

I agree with that, but i think we can all agree online the agressor has the advantage. Especially jump happy ones :)

Maybe I'm talking about the crappy player end of the spectrum, but I've always found the advantage is to people that sit back and defend rigorously. Psychic Shoryukens against jump-ins, tactical (or liberal) use of fireballs etc. You can pretty much force the other guy to parry and online, this is difficult.

Damn you are good I thought the ken vs kens were close except a couple but that yun is way way to good for me.
