I'm using a cheap DVD-Recorder(without HDD :sad: ). You get a high quality video without dropped frames. Of course you have to encode those vids to make them small(for internet). With a litte encoding magic(don't ask) you can get even cool 60fps. Download and compare(choose free, wait 20 seconds then enter the given code):
