Played some matches with Ricky Ortiz and J. Wong at Chinatown fair over the weekend.
I held my own (i think) aside from a few shining combo moments i got owned badly.
I played flash G in Hyper...i thought i saw enough kuni funada videos to avoid tick 720 setups. i'm still not ready...
Online and off my goal is to be The Best. I think I have seen the light. For those who want to take this journey with me send the friends requests, lets meetup, schedule matches , talk strategies or whatever! High level level play is such a rush. and I'm addicted.
I think I've come full circle now, in terms of knowing what i need to do to improve my game. i need to leave my mark at the tourney scene.
To be the man you gotta beat the man...i want to be the man to beat.

Big War is right. As much I hate to admit it - online play changes the way you perceive the game engine (on a sub concious level). Yes you do learn a lot in terms of mind games and all, but when it comes to fast paced, high level play - live really does ruin your game. Problem is its too addictive...
The other thing is about what shade already said - slowly. To be honest with you, I learnt SO MUCH about 3s from guides and what not in the first few months of playing, but it only becomes second nature with practice - and I mean practice against good players, because average or lower players will not require you to be on 120% dood alert with all your best combos ready to go.
I remember when I played a guy called Dookus in one of our ranking battle finals. Never prior to that point did I ever play a Ken of that level, so I got owned 3-0 without even winning a round. By the way, if you haven't seen matches of Dookus' Ken and Dudley - check them out. You may mistake him for a Jap
Few days later I had an all night session with him and the scores were 65-35% to him. The only reason was that I started to get into the rhythm of playing super fast and making decisions before I even knew they had to be made. No one else ever gave me that kind of competition except Izu. For the few days after that, I was beating everyone I played until the effect eventually wore off
I hope you didn't fall asleep reading this.

Anyone who knows me knows I dont use Akuma, nor do I abuse lag. Good try though. Arrogant pricks like you can just sit behind your computer and talk all the shit you want. I was trying to give advice to someone who wants to improve. You come in and start talking shit. And you wonder why people gave you a hard time a couple weeks back.
You were upset because people think you are arrogant, and you disagree. Then you change your tag to Oo 3s Masta oO and talk shit to people who try to give helpful advice. Good way to repair your rep?

Seriously homes I don't play Akuma, you must be mistaking me for someone else. Why am I not taking you up on a money match? Because I am working and paying my way through UNC. If I have the means to make it to a big EC tourney I will and we can play. I don't want to say I will be there and not show due to financial reasons.
Either way I'm not trying to start beef, thats not why I post here. I'm here to get better like everyone else. If you disagreed with my advice to Hold Dat thats cool, just say you disagree and say why. But taking personal shots doesn't make you, me, or him better.

I gotta agree with Big War in order to become relly good IMO XBL is a NO NO. I started Playing 3s when it first arrived on XBL, then after a couple of months I stopped playing online cause there was nuff comp for me offline, but since the last UK RB (Dec 11th) I've been playing alot of Live and I can honestly say my game has gone to super shit esp parrying which I really started to enjoy and understand. From now on fuck live I'm only gonna play offline. Also as Naz said you can pick up a lot of mind games onlive but your timings will gwt messed up.
Anyway Hold Dat I remember your Tag from b4 you even started posting, the old cvs2 days. Glad to see you is still playing hardcore.
PS- I got some of my mojo back in the arcade today but couldnt parry Si's Denjins for fuck due to sub concious fucked up live timings.

If anyone really wants to get better and if they live near an arcade, then there's no excuse to play online.
Online = having fun
winning or losing online - doesn't count because you are playing a broken game
There are world class champions that tried online play that completely suck at it because they refuse to adjust their real timing with something less.
the reason for one to play online is to have fun, practice execution, or you dont live near an arcade.
