Hey,
Many of you know that I live on the south coast in Brighton. I've been wondering whether there are any players down here for a while so I've decided to do something about finding out whilst getting a session going.
I spoke to a manager of the internet/ gaming cafe called "Netpama" (www.netpama.com/beta) about hosting a session and they're cool with it. I'm putting up a poster to try and get some local interest going. The aim being to weed out any 3S heads on the coast that play at home on their consoles due to a lack of cabs in the region. Maybe some new challengers for the London RBs will crawl out of the woodwork. Who knows?
Accomodation
Small for the first session as it's toe in the water stuff. Current gaming room can accomodate 10 or so people. There's more space available so I can review this depending on level of interest.
Set Up
Again (depending on numbers) it's likely one set up, a PS2, TV and Projector screen. They have a load of monitors as you'd expect but I don't know if they have the necessary adapters. I can find out and try and sort it out if there's a larger number of people.
Format
Casuals and I'm sure we can run a small tournament/ team battle depending on turnout.
Date & cost
Sunday February 26th @ 1pm (for around 4/5 hours)
They charge £6 for 4 hours but I think we can get an extra hour or so as the owners are interested to see what happens.
It would be good if some of the London heads wanted to come down for a day out and some games. Always more appealing to have some proficient players showing off their stuff.
