-BuffOtaku (Joel Benefiel) nearly makes top 4 for the first time
-All fights up until Final 8 were Single Match! Final 8 matches were 2/3.

Yeah, all this talk about weird results.. I could understand if it were one-match single-elimination, but it wasn't. It was double-elimination. I don't know how much 2/3 would've solved.

The attribute that makes Top Level players what they are is adaptation. Shorter sets give less time for adaptation...hence results that people won't expect.

Ken I Team Use Two Years Straight Whats Good.

The switch from 2/3 to single match is a pretty drastic one. It adds quite an element of randomness to a match, and rewards players who have been constantly practicing over occasional players. In an extended 2/3 game, there's more time to read and set your opponent up with patterns, and is more forgiving towards players who are out of practice.

Over time, as long as we stick to single match format for RanBats, everything evens out. You almost have to expect these results for a first match of a Ranbat. Ken I's been constantly practicing at Valle's lately (and Valle plans on making a 3s comeback at Arizona this weekend) so the time and effort definitely paid off.

People don't like rock's commentary? I live clear across the country, don't play 3s, have never seen the guy...but he's hilarious. Commentary (from others as well, but mostly rock) is part of the reason why I watch the ranbats!

Alot of people can't stand him and just watch them muted. You can't deny the eliteness of the matches themselves, though.

Man I still own with Ryu, Denjin is a cheap ass super. If u can create 50/50 situations for the opponent in the corner or why they are grounded, its not that hard. I dont wanna keep posting here this has nothing to do with this ranbat.
