Check out ALL THE VIDS guys, some of them have some very high level play here, not to mention representation from yours truly as well as a few other live xbl heads:

Phix (Urien), Waqs (Ken), BassVentura (Ken), Demon Grim aka Fuzzy (Ken), Yours truly (Akuma) and if you want to include a few new heads - the Peaceman (playing Ken - xbl tag 'ButterCup 2 Q' and the Prince aka Hatim (Ken and Urien).

There were a few more xbl heads - Gunman obviously, Nottingham's finest Willei and a few others who didn't quite abuse enough lag in the group stages and team tournaments so couldn't make it through. But having played Willei in casuals and Gunman on a regular basis, I can comfortably say that the guys who took them out DID NOT have a comfortable time...

And best bit of it all is - COMMENTARY FROM BASSVENTURA :rock:

We dont always play on our laps - sometimes there are small tables that go around. I personally use the Hori Pro which is big enough to not move around enough to throw off my moves. If your stick/controller is xbox, you'll need a converter - my question is why not get a ps2 stick since those do seem to be the standard. Demon Grim played with a Sega Pad (Saturn maybe?) - I thought I was the master of pad till I saw his execution :wow:

Thanks for the props Parryall - as long as there are players better than me in my own city, I will keep improving. Thats the theory at least...

Most importantly (we always say this) - as well as giving some indication of UK play level, we want EVERYONE to see what a nice vibe we have here. I mean damn - we had people wanting to come over just to watch and not play, and they were not disappointed at the end of the day.
Watch the last two files which is the award ceremony for a bit of a laugh :party:

And I do apologise for the fact that my playing was mainly too much showing off :arazz: But lets not forget that it did catch everyone off guard :razzy: Besides, Raju is a much better player than I am - My win on him in the team tournament was luck if you ask me... El Carpeto should have come on instead, but I reasoned that Akuma had a better chance against his Urien as opposed to Carpeto's Oro or Demon Grim's Ken since he has never played Raju before.

Most of us use our arcade sticks on our laps, yeah. There are some that need a table/flat surface tho.

The videos dont normally come out so bright/unsmooth, but the settings were accidentally tampered with (not by me btw) and I noticed whilst recording but it only looked slightly different on the camera so I didnt say anything as I thought it didnt matter, but I have learnt my lesson I guess.

You wouldn't see two Demons from most high level players and that includes Japanese players. Situations for Demon setups don't always arise in every round. The fact that you can do the kara demon at all is a mad show of skill IMO. I wouldn't try for it 'all the time', but everytime I saw you land it you did it with a proper setup and it payed off.

I can see why you would try to do it all the time though, I mean come on that's got to be satisfying to land...lol, it's such a crowd pleaser :lovin:

I also want to mention doing down down down PPP at the end to kill off that Urien player was really smart. Here I thought that move was totally worthless, when here it's the perfect chip killer (first hit unparriable). Again it just looks boss to boot. You were the flashiest dude in that tournament hands down.

As for the PPP finish, if you check, you'll see that I did a red fireball just before it to knock him down. Now that was going to be the first step of one of two very cool demon setups, but I didn't do the demon because he jumped BACK too early. The KKZ finish was just a bonus I guess...
I'm not surprised my dash demon didn't work on Raju - I landed it on him a few RB's ago, and like I said - these guys never fall for them twice...

Samyon - dunno what might be wrong. Apart from DIVX, I only got the Nimo Codec Pack, so you could try that. Do you have the latest version of Media Player?

Try this. Media Player Classic. Can't promise it'll work, but I've been using it for years and it seems to play everything. IMO the best media player availible.

I forgot about VLC player - Bass is right in that it'll play anything. In fact, it has proved itself so good in playing files that no other player can deal with, I just keep it aside as a nice way to deal with video files that I can't view any other way.

Samyon - if that doesn't work for you, the only thing I can think of is that there must be something wrong with your hardware in some way. Even PCs with not-so-impressive hardware/software can play these files, and since you've got the latest media player and codecs, I can't really see it as being a software issue from your side. It has to be hardware, if not corrupt downloads of the files, but thats even more unlikely...

Hey, I know i've said this before but I wanted to add this to it. I think 1 or 2 big files would be better not only for downloading purposes but also to help keep the commentary flowing. In my opinion, a good commentary can really make a 3rd strike video have lasting appeal. I think the best part of these videos was the commentary. So by having one big file it will seem like one big broadcast and help make the conversation in the commentary to have more continuity.
