I own SVC Chaos and would play online if someone would actually be online. Every time I go on live with it, there has been 0 players. I know the game is broken, but it still can be fun.

3S is the only one where I can almost always get a match. I own most of those games but if there's nobody to VS then waiting gets old fast. I personally wish more people played SSV. I'm loving that game...cheap ass Sankuro owns!

I own CVS2 - only ever played it twice. Fired it up for the first time and found a 100hit combo within 5 minutes of starting the training mode. Decided it was broken. Never went back. Harsh, I know :)

It's the truth man, I swear it! I was using, uh, Guile and doing that funky business out of Alpha2 where you can attack dead fast. Only it didn't seem to wear off, so I just kept racking up juggle hits. Crazy :)

Well you can hit F+MK if you're activated... and it doesn't run out in training mode... hence infinite.

CVS2 is fucking boring. I don't even care if it's more complicated. That shit is just not fun to me at higher levels of play. It's like Hyper SF2 with extra drawn out matches. Hyepr SF2 is more fun to watch than that game sometimes. See...3S is a real spectators sport. It requires skill and you can actually watch that shit. CVS2...unless somebody's using a real flashy character that shit gets boring real quick.

Yeah. JoJo was the shit on the Dreamcast. I have a copy of the game still. Hmm... Online Fighters... I play 3S mostly. I also own these fighters but I hardly ever play them anymore:

1. CvS2 (I suck at this game. Fuck it.)

2. CFE (Meh)

3. SvC:Chaos (horrible delay; Shin Akuma FTW, WTF?! Boss characters)

A real spectator's sport? Huh, if you call watching Yun, Chun-Li, and Ken matches, doing the same strategies over and over again, a "real" spectatle then I guess you enjoy watching repetition.

Oh, I know, the same could be said for Blanka, Sagat, and Bison for CvS2, right? At least it depends on the groove being used. To me, CvS2 is the most diverse game out there because of the grooves. Invent something new with a certain groove and you've got your own unique style different from everyone else.
3S doesn't have that quality. For those that are really talented, it's the same thing over and over again.

I often wonder if people like third strike so much more because it's an easy game to learn and conquer compared to CvS2 or Guilty Gear, or even Virtual Fighter.

thats the ONLY reason. I had people TELL me they like 3s over cvs2 cuz cvs2 is too much work. I am never bored out of cvs2,so much variety and so much you can do. sure cvs has its downside..shit like roll cancel makes you never wanna play again but xbox doesnt have RC so its semi old school street fighter.

3s is boring as fuck..its like a 3 character game and everyone does the EXACT same shit over and over..especially online its like 90% shoto whoring..randomass jump back and forward and keep mashing roundhouse..fuck that ! :tdown:

The same chains and same combinations for about 90% of the matches.
With CvS2 it's variety all the time. Different moves, setups, traps make that game just so addictive. Back when it was big a couple years ago, it seemed like a different match every single time I would long on. It wasn't the same thing twice. Too bad no one seems to enjoy it anymore.
