I've gone close to 2 minutes before... This was forever ago though. I can probably go longer now. Maybe I'll try...

1:26 for now and then it gets uncomfortable. Thats 86 seconds I guess. I'm sure you can train yourself to hold your breath for atleast 2 minutes though.

If I inhale pure oxygen before hand I can go like 5 mins. Dont ask me where I got pure oxygen.

I've done it for 3:12 before submerged in a jacuzzi. Warm relaxing water helps slow your heart rate.

I heard doing it underwater makes it easier.

Depriving the brain of oxygen can lead to health issues, so I don't hold my breath much anymore unless I absolutely have to. The longest i've held it was about 1 min or so.

If you really wanna know where I got pure oxygen...
Last year I dislocated my knee. Like terrible, the muscle holding my knee-cap in place tore and my knee-cap was temorarily on the side of my leg, all the cartilage and started floating around in fluid making my leg usless. My cousin, who is a cleptomaniac came to visit me at the hospital ( was only there over night) and I was hooked up with a tank of nitrous (laughing gas) because I was in quite a bit of pain. My cousin being a stoner desided to try out some nitrous. he loved it and we were passing the mask back and forth.
He liked it so much on his way out he stole what he thought was a tank of nitrous. But it was just oxygen. What ever. We were playing with it at a barbeque and taking gulps of air and going under water in the pool.
Yeah, i miss SRK's stupity as well.
hahahaaha
1:42 first try, will try later in the pool...

Or maybe is because I'm trying to improve my time in this thing... Almost two minutes now and people in the cyber are looking funny at me. :wgrin:
You want me to compete in a breath holding contest? Don't hold your breath.
