Okay, so I'm dusting off the old Saturn and going through all of the 2-D fighters that I own for the system. I think I'm six or seven games short of owning 'em all, so I'm hoping someone can help me out here. Here's a list of what I know is out there, if anyone knows of any game I've omitted, please let add it to the list!

I know several of the NeoGeo fighters were also repackaged as collections, but I'm not including the collections, just the individual titles. I'm also not including SF: The Movie or DBZ: Legends, I have them both but they don't exactly fit the bill!

I'm pretty sure there were a few MK titles on the Saturn. I remember having UMK3 at one time. There was another DBZ fighter too, Shin Butoden, which was a much more playable version of Ultimate Battle 22, with all the secret characters already unlocked.

Ultimate Motal Kombat 3 was on Saturn, although I never heard of Trilogy getting a release.

how is waku waku 7 and groove on fight? i've never seen the games in action, just screenshots. they looked interesting though... any insight?

MK Trilogy for the Saturn is Rare and came out about a year after the PS version did. There's one selling on eBay right now, which has about 4 dys ?? hrs left from the time of this post (give or take).

As for Waku 7 and Groove? Waku Waku 7 is just that, Wacky. Its almost like SF2, tho I never got into it, it's a pretty solid fighter (from what I did see when I played it). Some people say it's suppose to be Galaxy Fight's sequal, but I don't see it. The GF characters are an espy bunch, while WW7's????

Groove on Fight (Power Instinct 4), is a solid fighter as well. The characters are balanced (for the most part) with the exception of the Final boss Bristol D and it's a tag team style fighter. You can do some interesting tag combos, and you can even use a K.O.ed person as a projectile (WTF), but interesting non the less. I never really got to into it, but then again, I like almost any fighter that plays and controls well (not to mention has unique play mechanics). The character designs and combo system do stand out, and the control is as responsive as any of the Great fighters. I don't think there's a complete or working emulated version for it yet? It play somewhat like SF2, but goes its own way (in a good way).

Wow, this thread has been an eye opener for me. I'm think I'm officially giving up on trying to collect them all! BTW, some of these titles can be found pretty damned cheap on eBay these days. As I mentioned in another thread, I just picked up Gem Fighters for $8.49, shipping included.

Also, I forgot that Primal Rage was released for Saturn (how could I?), and just to make things thorough, I suppose SF: The Movie should be listed as well.

Waku Waku 7 is just that, Wacky. Some people say it's suppose to be Galaxy Fight's sequal, but I don't see it.

Groove on Fight (Power Instinct 4)
Waku Waku 7 and Galaxy Fight were both made by Sunsoft. Each game also features the hidden character, Bonus-kun. Other than these 2 elements, they really have little else in common.

Technically, GROOVE ON FIGHT was Gouketsuji Ichizoku 3 / Power Instinct 3 (the Japanese logo for GOF often included a Gouketsuji Ichizoku 3 logo in its design). Although it was the fourth game in the series (1st= Gouketsuji Ichizoku, 2nd= Gouketsuji Ichizoku 2, 3rd= Gouketsuji Gaiden Saikyou Densetsu), GGSD was basically an upgrade to GI2 and so Atlus referred to GOF as GI3.
