it wasnt really that psychic, if akuma goes for a c.MK vs Urien, a HK Hurricane is the best option in that situation especially since c.MK got parried, it was either lose right there or buffer into a special that will kill him on block and is totally safe vs a throw. there really was no better option at all since he was gonna parry the first hit anyway.

he could have very well OSed the situation tap forward but not thrown once he saw the hurricane parry.

He could have, but it could have been easily teched.

He could have also Kara thrown, which would have been harder to tech.

He could have went high, but sometimes if you do it to soon, it will get "eaten" by the 3rd Parry of the fireball anyway.

Regardless, that was pretty impressive.

Either one could have OS thrown but the urien would have been taking the higher risk because of Akuma towards+strong. If it matters I think the urien would have lived if the blocked the hurricane kick after the low parry.

in that situation with only block damage needed to finish of urien i would have gone to multi hit moves too like the red fireball, c.mk buffer to rh hurricane kick. it's like the urien player knew it was coming and parried that shit down.

I did the same thing once, but it was casuals, and it was against a friend who I play everytime. Having the nerves for that in tournament with the crowd cheering on you is just amazing

As far as like forward tap os throw adjust yourself because it was a hurricane kick after a c.MK, sure, you COULD do it, but how many non japanese 'we play 3rd strike all day every day' people could do that? You have very little time to adjust and say "oh shit, i can't throw that" and stop yourself from throwing by going into another forward tap before the hurricane kick owns you in the face.

I just now realized that the Urien player was under the same setup as the 3s introduction.

On the Street Fighter Anniversary Introduction you see 3s/ST Akuma do HCF Fireball on Ryu. Ryu parries the fireball hits, but then gets hit by the c.mk into hurricane. Basically what I'm trying to get at is the Urien player took it to the next level.
