Yeah, Necro's pretty sick. I picked him up about 1 year ago but wasn't really serious about him until I watched that Sugiyama vid. That beatdown was brilliant.:tup: I've watched a few PinoAB7 vids also but I still think Sugiyama is better.:lol:

The reason why is that Necro's pokes completely outrange Ryu. Unlike Ken, Ryu doesn't have an EX hurricane that can eat up ground and stop all air attacks Necro may try.

For Ryu to win this match, he has to rely on EX fireballs and psychic shoryuken's to stop Necro's pokes. Because Ryu relies on a corner/close game to be the most effective, most Necro players will do their best to play keep away all day long.

During Texas Showdown 6, AzianHitler brought out his Necro for Calipower (Alex Valle) and it was probably one of the more closer battles of TS6. Alex had to win by using some of the nastiest Psychic shoryuken's I have ever seen. It was extremely impressive and effective. It caused Necro to not have the luxory of poking at will from a distance. Yet it was still a close match do to Ryu being outranged all day long.

I say this battle is slightly for Necro in this battle with two opponents of equal skill.

Agreed... Necro's standing strong completely shuts down the Shoto's footsie game. And B+Forward has a deceptive range that can also shutdown a shoto poke string, and lead to huge damage.
