Sano for mod?

he might not want this pressure I dunno, but sano is a cool guy I remeber when I first joined here he was the only guy that was cool with me, while others flamed which I was not used to since I never used a forum before.

Wow, right now via PMs and what not it's like I'm caught in some of tug of war between Members of Studio Udon wanting me to post more over at SFD's forum and people here wanting me to mod... I really appreciate everyone being so nice to me on both sides.

I'd like to post on both SF comic boards equally, but if enough people want me to mod I wouldn't have a problem with it. Anyone who wants me to be a mod contact the current SRK mods and ask them if that's what they want I guess. I think you'd have to contact Mr. Wizard, not exactly sure how that would work. One of Erik Ko's complaints to me about this forum was the lack of it being modded regularly, he couldn't do it himself due to his busy schedule.

I'll try and be fair and let everyone get their voices heard if and if that happens...

That's why he's perfect, although if there was a choice to make someone a mod here, I'd choose Tiamat. It'd give him an excuse to come to SRK more often and even drop some SF plotline bombs on ignorant fools. :-)

I had a idea with all your vast knowledge of SF you could write a story starting from the days of goutesu training to the end days of 3s every week you progress the story lol.. since you know all the actual endings that happen in each game and all the little side storys that are "offically", from capcom i bet it be a good read especailly if you go in detail with it....

Nah man I'm only human and can do so much... :sweat: There's lots of things I do behind the scenes helping people with faqs, sites and stuff, I do my best to help everybody but it does take lots of time... let's hope that Udon gets to SF3 and maybe Omar Dogan does a Makoto story in his SF Legends line.

Hey people, Sano, Udoneko,

what do you think about Sano moderating this forum, fishing out all the stupid and offensive stuff, that made Udoneko leave (for now, hopefully)?

Then those people should be banned quickly and the Udon team should be able to return so we can live happily together, influencing each other for good!

I have checked the Devotions forums and there is a much smaller comunity and less news. In a fiew weeks everybody will just switch over to that one and we'll be having the same conditions that brought Udonko away firstplace! It just makes more sense in improving what we have here than just running away from the problem...

Where do you draw the line though? That's why so few people are banned from these boards even with the strict rules implemented a few years ago. So anybody forwarding anything against the books is banned and swept under the rug, until eventually it's just an Udon-blog where everybody's afraid to post something that will get them banned or you've got the same old flametards who get around IP bans anyway......

anyway just my 2 cents I don't come to this board much anymore, I used to lurk here quite often but it was the "Udon up and left" thread title that got me to poke my head back in and see what the hubbub was. I don't claim to know the whole story but I'm inclined to take Udoneko's side, and even so there's only so much that can be done to keep this site regulated.

Yeah I'm SRKSANO over at gamefaqs. I used to be Sano from Shoryuken over there, but that name glitched, it was never fixed by the mods at Gamefaqs, so I became SRKSANO. The name 'sano' or 'Sano' is usually taken on boards, so I just take SRKSANO when Sano is taken.

I suppose you can close the thread if you want and wait to see what MrWizard decides to do. Seriously people being this nice to me will just inflate my ego and next thing you know I'll change and become "TEH EVIL COPYRIGHT 2006 / 2007!" :rofl:

In regards to moderating, yes, it's a very thin line what to mod and what not to mod. And I would think any future mod would like to inherit this forum under better circumstances. But really, mods just have to do their job as best as they could and not worry about Studio Udon returning or not.

Just my opinion on that.

Yeah I reckon Sano's obvious love for Street Fighter could keep this place real - so long as everyone's right to freedom of expression on this board is kept in reasonable tack.

Honestly and more importantly, Erik's major function on this board was to inform us of the latest capcom licensed products and ideas, so hopefully if Sano was to take over the ship - he could get in contact with Udon and keep a tight relationship with them so that will we know what is going on in terms of release dates and announcements and such - cause that is what we had lost with the departure of EK.
