I'm having a Socratic Discussion on these two and I'm wondering if anyone can give me quality questions to ask. We're to discuss The Autobiography of Malcolm X : As Told to Alex Haley and the Letter from a Birmingham Jail [King, Jr.]. The centric theme is "Whose philosophy made the most sense for America in the 1960s?"

AkumaTX - If I scan the paper will you give me a rep? btw, the class is A.P. US History
shatterstar - thanks, i'll ask that question :)

Also, thanks to the poster who started the thread "Why do blacks convert to Islam?" something to that extent anyway. I'm going to use that question in the discussion as well.

Who had the better solution to the African American problem in the United States?

Why Is MLK more widely accepted than MX?

Why was MLK's Non violence technique so Affective?

Would Post Hajj MX have made more of an impact if he wasn't assisinated so soon after his return to America?

If you seriously want to debate this topic with your peers just put yourself in a African Americans place in the 1960's and figure which one of the two you be more to support. Then you ask yourself why i support this person more than the other, after that you ask yourself why you wont or cant support the other person you didn't choose.
