Scanners by themselves are getting pretty cheap, but the high quality ones are still up there in price. about $80 - $100 should be good enough though.

What's up all? Sorry I mssed a few people. I was offline while getting everything moved into the new house. I'm working on the forth guardian right now. It took a while to find a pose I actually liked for him, but the problem has been solved. Number five's weapon is still in debate too, but it may be resolved soon.
After that it's either animals, more cute chicks, or cyborgs.............. or all of the above.

Never say never. Had you shown me pics of these characters ten years ago and told me I would be the one drawing them, I'd have said what you are saying now. Needless to say, I'd have been wrong. If I can get the scanner to work with the new computer, I should have the 4th guardian up soon. I'm still debating on what the 5th guardian's weapons should be, so no ETA for him yet.

I *really* like the Goa stuff, and the bio-mechanical stuff, Star.
I think you do bio-mechanical or all mech a lot "better" than you do pure biological stuff.
Considering your style, I might have a few pics laying around that you might enjoy drawing.

Yup. all the guardians are based on raver-type toys turned into weapons (I.E. the first with a pair of double glowsticks, the third with glo-wires,etc. ) If I ever get around to finishing the other two, they are gloves and the fifth has a giant rave necklace. Glad you like them.

I hear ya. the mech stuff is more imagination, people are more anatomy based. I don't know why, but I've always done metal better. As far as showing you pics, Sure. make a thread though. Everyone should see them, not just one or two.
Seth: I've been thinking of it. I'd do it if I got to keep control of the characters, but once someone else is telling you how to do things, it just doesn't feel as much fun anymore.

-Starhammer- I guess you gotta know the basics of anatomy in order to draw humans. I know anatomy, but my drawing skills have slowly decreased over the years, rather than improved. :bluu:
As far as the pics go: Nah, they are cool looking, but I am selfish and don't like to share. :p
I'll post them here, though.

smokin. I've been stringing for a while now (mostly using chains. don't ask. ) and it's hard to pick up at first, but once you do, you'll be flying along. my freehand stuff needs work though, but I'm getting there.

I usually do fire poi when I get the chance, which isn't that often. Can't do that stuff indoors, so we usually do that at the beach or out in the sticks.
I do some ghetto string too. Like shoe laces tied together + glow sticks, lol.
But really, the person in those pics is my friend who loves fire poi more than anything. I prefer to do free-hand with glow gloves or glow paint.
I've been geting into Devil Sticks lately, because I want to learn the Hawaiian fire stick dance (forget technical name).
And one of my friends is getting into yo-yos and can do mad tricks, looks cool in the dark with glow yo-yos.

LMAO!!! Yeah, chains hurt like hell if you start with them, but I like how versatile they are. Adding a clip to them means you can put on or take off glowsticks in a snap, and they are already sized so you don't even have to waste time on that. of course, they are durable. metal doesn't break and the dog can't chew through it either. overall, it's good.

It also doesn't burn.
You pretty much have to use metal chains when you're doing fire Poi.

You could, but it would be better to make your own thread for two reasons...........
1) Everyone will see the new thread and know that it was you that did the coloring.
2) you can Shock the fuck out SRK.com with your skillz. Videogame site or not, artists are the people who literally MAKE the fighters.
Speaking of making, I've started making avatars with PS. My current one is a work from there and a commercial thread they had a while back. Hyori Lee can shake it. :D

I take it that you like it? I'll try to add in more cyberbeasts whenever I get some drawn. I should work on a flying one next since all I've done are land walking types. The sea hasn't been forgotten either. I have some sickness to make from the fish too. ;)

Anyways, liberties, and inconsistent chibi-ing, but I quite enjoyed making this, hope someone likes it. But it's ok if no-one does. :-*

I think I may have some talent in that particular direction, but the majority of it is practice. What I used for refference and Ideas are the hot rod and lowrider magazines I found in the stores. Another really lucky find was the artwork of a man by the name of Andrew Bennett. FYI, he's the creator of an old Image comic called Brass. To this day, I've never seen a more detaile-obsessed artist than him anywhere.

Twenty. Why is that? I'm not taking myself seriously either. I mean I'm only doing this for my own, (and rarely sometimes others) amusement. Whatever I feel like drawing and when I try to be funny, I sketch or draw. It's not that I *want* to be an artist, I just enjoy this, and try to improve what I can. I mean, there's absolutely no harm if I share it right? If you find anything wrong or objectionable, fine and dandy. Heck I'll even leave if enough people hate me here.
Honestly though, there are some things about my work that I don't like. Anyway,

Hey 4. For what it's worth, this is coming from a 32 year old black man born in the dirty south of the U.S.
Even though you may not think highly of your work, I think VERY highly of my own stuff. The stuff you see onlihe in this thread is me doing my best. With that said, I'll skip to the rest.
As you know, I used to be a sailor with the U.S. Navy. If you didn't, now you do.
I've been all over the world more than twice. I've even been to Manilla, philpeenes.
In my time, I've learned that there are two types of filpinos. good and bad. I can state without shame or doubt that YOU are one of the good ones. Your president: I've never met her. she could go either way in my opinion.
Now. Onto the matter at hand. Your art.
I know dudes who are older than you who just can't draw. I mean, putting a pencil on paper is like Kryptonite to superman to them. As a fellow artist, I wanna tell you the straight truth.
In my Honest Opinion, you've got a truckload of imagination. Yeah, the stuff you've put in my thread isn't half as detailed or as crazy as the stuff I've put in there, but please don't lose hope.
If I could trade my ability to move a pencil for some REAL imagination, I'd do it. no question. I've got maybe a half the =imagination you've got. That's something that talent and money can't buy man. In full, Keep on drawing okay? I look forward to everything you do man.
