Ann Coulter: She is right.

She’ll shout from the rooftops her hatred for liberals. While doing so she’ll thank them for their contribution to her career. If it weren’t for liberals, there would be no fuel for Ann Coulter’s flame, no target for her figurative bombs. But underneath the bomb throwing and name-calling, there lies an extremely calculated and intelligent human being. Here’s a test.

Try to say, in one breath, Coulter’s accomplishments: She graduated from Cornell University with Honors, earned her J.D. from University of Michigan Law School, wrote for the Cornell Review, and was an editor for the Michigan Law Review. She clerked in the Eighth Circuit of the United States Court of Appeals, ran her own private law practice, worked as a litigator, and is currently a writer for the conservative weekly Human Events and the Universal Press Syndicate. Did I forget anything?

It seems as though people forget that behind Ann Coulter’s fierce and, I’ll admit sometimes over-the-top remarks, is in fact truth. The recent Time article entitled, “Ms. Right” contains a good example. “They [liberals] believe…you can deliver a baby entirely except for the head, puncture the skull, suck the brains out and pronounce that a constitutional right has just been exercised…” Call me crazy, but she seems to have hit the nail on the head.

Using as vulgar language as she can conjure up in a millisecond, Coulter was able to produce cold-hard fact without leaving out the extremities. I would have liked to see John Kerry respond to that comment in his election campaign last year.Liberals can whine and complain as much as they want to about Coulter, but one thing is for sure: She knows how to get under their skin. Who else can stand up for women while at the same time be reviled by feminists? And who else can mix it so well with fact that liberals commonly mistake one for the other?

So as “Anti-Ann’s,” as I call them, run around like chickens with their heads cut off attempting to find any error she may have made, Coulter makes another $25,000-$50,000 or so just by making fun of them (using fact and wit, of course).So who cares if she “mistakenly” stated that Canada sent troops to Vietnam? That insignificant blun-der does not diminish her credibility. I seem to remember much worse from liberals, such as the Clinton fiasco I will not burden your memory with, Al Gore the “inventor,” and John Kerry who “voted for the war before [he] voted against it.”

To think that these people led or just missed out on leading our country is unsettling. I sleep soundly knowing that Ann cleverly brings these issues to light and makes me laugh about them too.

People have a preconception that if you go to harvard or a good school, you must be smart. It's not a even question. I read some of the stuff these CEO's from Harvard or some other well known school do, and I'm like "Pay me $ 15 mill to fuck up and have the board buy out my contract". Actually, this was that HP bitch who was vastly overrated and everyone thought marked the begining of the women CEO. I know is this would lead to another topic you hold near and dear.

I will say that while I don't think grades prove you're smart, I found it makes it easier. Grades still won't save anyone who is only good at getting grades and knows nothing about the real world.

School is just going to the place, taking notes, doing homework, and studying for tests, all of which take time. You do the same repetitive formula you do for studying, go to the library, read, do homework, make flashcards, whatever you do to study effeciently. You can even cheat, it's really easy to do. You also have to do shitty tedious subjects you won't ever use in a job (if that's what you're there for) which also takes a lot of time. This is like grinding in MMOs. Any monkey can do it.

Then you meet some people, and they can hire you to a top spot in a job, or in the mmo world you meet some people and eventually if you meet the right people you'll get invited to a top guild.

Not saying ANYONE can do good in school because some people have work and people to take care of, different goals, and maybe in your younger years, maturity problems which can take away time to study, not to mention a whole load of other problems that can make school hard. Anyone can study, anyone can get A's. The reason why we don't have doctors and lawyers comming out of nowhere is because they have the discipline to put large amounts of time in their studies.

In street fighter you don't need to play long to be good at it. I think we all know people who've played longer than you have that still absolutely suck at fighting games, and we also know some overnight talents in street fighter. You do have to put time into playing it, but it's the dude who's smartest who usually wins. In street fighter it's actual skills (street fighter 2 - super street fighter 2, I hate this stupid super bullshit that forces people to play defensive, original SF2s > anything else after SSF2! ) that decide who wins, not the time spent playing, or any respectable competitive game for that matter.

I'm not complaining about random pre-meds who are going to be more "successful" than I am, if that's what they want in life and they make it, good for them. I'm just saying that school is a grind. The reason I get high marks is because I put in the time...or maybe the teacher is easy, and the reason I get low marks is because I didn't grind for my A.

The thing about school is it proves you can 1. force yourself to learn something even if you don't love it, 2. absorb useless facts and sit through dull meetings, 3. write complete bullshit to save your ass, 4. show up on time in the morning after being out to late at night. All of which are valuable skills in the corporate world. Thus school helps you get a ENTERY level job. Outside of that, unless you are going into some specific field that requires extensive education (such as a doctor or a lawyer) practical on the job experience goes much farther.

I'm all for education. There is a lot to learn in this world that can really benefit you and help you out in life. And there are some top notch schools to learn from. But just having a degree doesn't really prove anything in the world, or teach you anything, other then what I listed above.

I'm a history/political science freak. I eat the stuff up even though it has nothing to do with my day to day job in Information Technology. Oddly enough I find myself taking courses that don't go towards a degree in history just for the hell of it because I find it fun.

I woke up early today and was fliping through channels, waiting for power rangers to come on... Yea I'm 19 and i watch power rangers. And on Cspan 2 thre was some lesbian rally on about her book.

This bithc is straight nuts. The parts that caught my attention were her views on abortion, and how she thinks that no women get raped unless youre 11 and its by your father. She thinks Liberals are pedofile sympathizers. She says conservatives have better sex...How can laying ontop of someone be fun...

And she thinks she is a comedian. She would try to make jokes and after each one she would pause, mess with her hair and stare at the crowd like, "This is where you laugh!" and instead she would get a few scattered chuckles.

She calls the New York Times "The enemy play book" like shes some army general, rallying the troops for an invasion. And how she only reads that cause she likes to know what other people are thinking, but then bashes whatever is said.

She is a condradiction to herself. And rambles on about nothing for as long as she can cause she really doesnt know what shes talking about.

When asked about abortion she rambled about how a "real" study was done about sexual activity and who enjoyed it more, and then said anything else that was studied, except this one test was jsut a joke from playboy. and then talked about 11 year olds getting raped.
