first of all, on myspace I get paid because I use it for work purposes, of course I would choose that over SRK..

secondly youtube is where I broadcast my own personal films, something SRK doesnt offer because thats not what this site is about..

finally I love SRK and thats why I keep coming back, its like an old boyfriend or girlfriend you just never get over..

I had a very strong belief in changing the way things were only to realize that it didnt really matter. I grew away from my local game playing community when I realized how quickly those that you thought were friends had knives waiting for your back. Once I realized the guys I would take on road trips, book the hotel rooms, pay for any extra charges and drive the entire way while having excellent conversation were flakes, I moved on. No reason to try and build a website around people so selfish they cant even stand up for you when they know the truth.

To everyone still upset that I put SRK second to Myspace, let me clear this up. For many years this was my only home, I would spend hours on end here chatting it up and debating gameplay. I grew away from SRK when friends of mine tryed to flip the script on me. All the local arcades were closing down here in Va, Gametime being the nail in the coffin. The last great moments I had playing games were @ Gametime. Nothing like driving 3 hours to get put out by Magneto when I still had ambitions of Spiral/Cable. I loved sleeping in the back of my truck and chatting it up with the guys from the surrounding area. Eric V was the man, miss talking shit with him. So many people that I lost contact with over the years.

Myspace.com I use mainly for business, in order to stay paid I have to be on there several times a day. If that werent the case I wouldnt be on the internet using forums @ all, Myspace and SRK are my 2 favorites. Youtube I use for putting up movies and music videos to show clients looking to have me work a gig for them or take pictures for them. I also use photobucket, which I am sure a ton of you guys do too.

If I ever come across a huge sum of money I would love to reopen a great arcade in Virginia again that would bring back some of the glory of Gametime. Its hard to touch something that had such a huge impact locally. When a community is forced to play in small arcades and houses its one thing. When you start closing down the small arcades and people start to fight amongst each other, nothing much left you can do.

I stepped out of the community and that included coming here on a daily basis. I dont really play games anymore other than a few online RPGs. I miss the 2D fighters and every once in a while in the back of my mind I keep my fingers crossed that Capcom will once again make a SF game or a VS game. I cant really get into Tekken or Soul Calibur but to me it seems that Namco is the only company left even trying to sell to a target audience of fighting gamers. I know that the West still plays hardcore but here on the East Coast there has been a huge loss of arcades, enough to drown the spirit of a lot of players.

SRK can never be replaced for me because of what it was. It might not be my number one site for business but its my number one site for helping me meet people outside of my area whether it be a good or bad experience it was extremely fun. I come back often, I might not post but I am still here.
