heheh, true that. I live in Berkeley, by MLK High and close to downtown berkeley BART. I will be back in town in 2 weeks, Ill send you a PM when I get back in town. Yeah if you got some friends to bring along too, thats great. The more the better. A few people from the bay area have shown some interest so far so it should be a good thing.

Sorry man, no marvel, was never any good at that game.

just got back in the bay yesterday to find my machine all fucked up. Wiring problem I think. I had wanted to have something come off this weekend but it does not look like that will happen. well guys. After having finished up the rewiring on the 3strike cabinet, I decided it was time to have the battery replaced just to be safe. The guy I had replace it sadly was not able to and killed the board. Fuck capcom. However all hope is not lost, I have another source for a new 3strike cartridge and I will be getting that one hopefully in a week or so. If anyone is interested in some alpha in the meantime then cool. Just let me know when. Otherwise I will get back on here when the new game arrives. This suicide battery thing has become a big fucking joke and right now I really hate capcom. Ill keep you guys posted. Sorry for the carrot dangling. Itll be worth it when its all ready. laters

okay guys.
good news. Just got the call about the new third strike set up, testing as working and ready for pickup! Im driving to modesto tonight to get it. So we can certainly have a few battles but I will eventually have to get the battery replaced again as I do not think this one has been done yet. Everyone who sent me PMs, I will get up with you guys and let you know the deal in the next day or so. Thanks for being patient, believe me this is more irritating to me.
Damn, I havent even touched third strike in 2 weeks, no excuses, gotta get my weight up. More soon

New cabinet finally arrived, took the day off from work and everything to get this beast up and rolling. Still have to punch out new holes for the buttons and add a kick harness until it is tournament ready though.

wsup fellas. After a long ass day of working with this control panel I finally got it done! I wont bore anyone with specifics but suffice to say, putting buttons in a metal control panel sucks! But the results dont.

Gotta go to work tomorrow fellas, but everyone just post up and maybe we can get something together for next weekend. What day is best for everyone? All are welcome and encouraged to come play. My third strike is off right now getting the battery replaced so hopefully I will be reporting back here with good news about that. Last time it died during the procedure so I am really hoping this one is successful. Theres a chance it will be back by the weekend so I will let everyone know for sure. Other than that its alpha time on the 29' egret! PClan and cableguy; you guys better come through. Let me know when is best for everyone and we'll square it away.

just got some pics of the new cabinet for you fellas to check out. Got this one for 150! 200 delivered to my doorstep. Its a Neo Geo Candy 26 with a sick Super Street Fighter II Control panel. As far as I can tell that is some original capcom product and certianly the coolest part of the cabinet. I should have this one up and running Alpha 3 by next weekend and have third strike in the Egret cabinet. Has some cosmetic dings but nothing major. Enjoy

whoa. You must be referring to the cadavers that were stuffed behind the cabinet, I didnt realize they were already turning. Yeah there were alot of people stuffed into that small space dude, I noticed some particular aromas eminating from unknown sources but that just makes it more like an arcade. :lol: Either that or all that doz smells like spoiled similac.

cool master amato. I actually have the PS2 version and I have a few of the nubytech pads, so we can get that going too. I know the rotation time is a killer, so next time we'll work it that way.

On another note; my Sega New Astro City came this morning. I havent even unwrapped it. So next time we can play some Red Earth or alpha 3 on that one.

P1 felt like the recently deceased oaktree arcade. It was really grimmy in there to cost so much to play. I assumed that the sticks would be near perfect but i made an ass out of myself. I think they're tech created those sticks for marvel in his basement, not something you'd have out representing your place.

sorry fellas but I am having a problem with my Egret 2 cabinet that needs to be fixed ASAP else it could mess up the monitor and potentially the third strike set up. so I isolated the problem and temporarily fixed it. Well didnt really fix it but made it at least playable for the time being until I can track down some obscure japanese parts. Sorry it didnt work out today fellas but if people want to play this week sometime post up and we can make that happen.

haters! 2nd impact is just to kill rotation time, I'll put alpha 3 in there by this weekend, just gotta pick up some stuff to do so.

On another note I just picked up some crazy ass Egret 2 upgrade kit off of Ebay germany. It has a secondary power supply(3v) to play JVS stuff, stereo board and head to head link cables. Probably gonna take some time to actually receive it and even longer to figure out how the hell to rig the thing up. But in time the plan will be to set up maybe the egret 2 and the windy (when I get it) head to head, but really side to side.

just checking in to see who is coming this sunday for some fighting. Like usual, we can start at 6PM until 11 or so. Remember fellas, I gots to work monday. Hopefully we can play some money matches or at least have a tourney, maybe 5-10 a throw in. fellas, bad news. Cant play tomorrow.

Checking up and doing maintanence on my cabs revealed my Egret cabinet (third strike) is screwed. Dont know what the problem is and honestly I cant mess with it anymore until tomorrow. Its almost 4:30 AM and I have been beating my head against the wall for the past 5 hours and I am too bummed out to mess with it anymore today. Nothing powers on. :arazz: Sorry bout that, keep ya posted on the going ons. Got my fingers crossed.

hey fellas
sorry again about that and having to cancel last minute. As of now, no new updates, I unhooked the entire cabinet and then reconnected everything and that did nothing. So my next step is to check for bad joints and start replacing connectors, wish I had done that when I had the entire thing unwired but I was trying to save time in the hopes it would be fixed and we could still play.

Hey Albert; sorry bro, hope you and your posse will roll through next time though.

I have faith this is not a big deal, its really jsut a matter of isolating where the problem is, and seeing as my voltmeter is crap I have to do it the hard way. Back to work more soon. On a good note, I got the Windy cabinet during the week, was gonna have it all set up suprise styles so I will post some pics tonight instead. Laters

didnt bump this thread for awhile as I had no positive results, until last night. After much hair pulling and teeth gnashing I got the Egret 2 up and running. Great! Unfortunately there will be no games in my future for this weekend though. Finishing up a 22 page comic by Sunday for the Game Developers Conference so I am pretty much spread thin as hell right now until this is over. Next week we can maybe do some mid week action if people are up.
