what's megagamers?

megagamers is a psu club where psu students get together and play a variety of games.
if kabukimono still wants to play snk2 then i will bring a dreamcast whenever megagamers starts. so yeah just tell me when the schedule is out.

the schedule doesnt usually come together until mark(Hellsap) goes off and requests a room, since he is one of the only psu guys not lazy enough to do it. even then the weekly wont be starting until school does (late september). when the schedule is posted on the megagamers site someone can post the days/times directly here or a link to it.

other stuff about the weeklies:
-the weeklies arent just for psu students anybody can come, as long as you give the respect to the fellow gamers that you would want to recieve.
-do not expect a 3s/cvs2 whore fest. the recent times ive gone they were playing alot of random games like bomberman, puyo puyo, and the like. also there may be quite a few other 2-d fighter besides the two above (snk/guilty gear stuff).
-yes the weeklies are freeking long (usually scheduled about 6-7 hours). the times ive gone almost no one shows up exactly at the start time to rumble. most people start to come a few hours into it.
-samY, more often then not, saves the day with a pair of hori's. but i think that the group needs to get together and plan on making some more sticks, so that some people dont have to fight over them.

since the lloyd tilt got rid of cvs2 ive been playing alot of 3s, so i may be a bit rusty. i'll probably forget i have a roll or try to uoh with the two mediums. either way i'll still be rockin N - iori/rock/r2 kyo

Hey now, I've got a hori now! so yeah! Plus I have a modded ps2 now. Also don't worry about being rusty I haven't played in forever, but before the weaklies start I'm gonna hella practice up, and now that I have my stick maybe I'll get a new team toeghther or just stick with my current cheez ball team, Rolento/Chunli/Sagat, where I lose two characters and you still have most of your team and then kill you with sagat!

Hopefully wednesdays are still good for people, and with the inclusion of DDR club as well, we can actually get some decent playing going on.

What I hope to see is at least 20 people every week, especially with the inclusion of the DDR club (which may or may not work out... well see)
I think this next year is not going to be pretty for my classes, but I'll try my best to be able to still show up.

I'll post the room confirmation when I get it. But try to spread the word for anyone who hasnt heard about it. Its one of the best places to consistantly get good comp, for free. woot.
Oh yeah, and we need to start running tournaments again. Well get that shit on lock for sure.

Edit : Oh yeah, its called RandomSelect now instead of MegaGamers.

well I got my hrap and a ps2 so we can play on ps2 if we just get one more stickkk, I haven't gotten to play in forever but I fired it up yesterday and still got most of my links cept for the rolento ones, those were really hard for some reason but still I'm down if I can actually come, I might not be able too because of work.

So this club is open to everyone, correct? Not just for PSU students? I would really like to play against other players other than XBL. (It takes awhile for me to get to Lloyd Center)

I'm mostly a 3S player but also proficient in CVS2, Soul Calibur and SFA3. I just wanna play against other people and have a good time. :)

well if i do bring cvs2 making a stick will be about 65 (14 for competition, 14 for buttons, 15 for madcatz, 6 for wood, ~8 shipping and handling from happ) a piece with happ parts and thats just for the materials. i can find a dreamcast. i was just saying donations would greatly help me.

I've found that using diodes to make sure voltage doesn't run the wrong way can make it easier to make a combination PS2/DC custom stick.

Kendodude - club is open to everyone.
tau - g/l with getting personal donations. Most of the people own their own Hori's anyways. The club already has money put aside for a cab that we are building - I believe.

I had a chill time getting to actually play against other fighting gamers and try out some games I never really touched (KOF and GG). I hope to learn more and and play more. I really wanna pick up a KOF game now :) And I thought Joe Higashi was just a comic relief character.

i have a3 but that game is ghetto except for dramatic battles. I also have super street fighter II X grandmaster challenge for matchin service (i think thats all of it). i hear 3s and mvc2 are different on the dc, but i have them also.

japanese mvc2 on the dreamcast is the closest you can get to arcade yay!

Ummm, Sfa3 on DC is ghetto, anthology is great we can definetly bust that out next time. And PROJ is broken..... Roy infinites for life, or Natsuma for too much damage, or Momo for little tennis racket girl for even more too much damage.

Also come early if you want to play me in cvs 2 (if at all possible casue I got to work at 5:00.

i can bring project justice, but um... i have a feeling you'll be playing it by yourself if it even gets put into the dreamcast to begin with.

just call in sick, ross. you need to show off your one frame links.

Yeahhhhhhhhhhh I really should, but I can't.

Man I haven't played in soo long, I'd prolly screw them up more than I did before, but still all I need is sagat! I should actually really learn the bison combo, I tried it the other day and can get more reps than I used too, but I don't know chun-li is still too good.
