wow this movie baffled me as soon as the very first scene. Best comedy ever, Nicholas Cage in a bearsuit smacking bitches= top tier:lovin: I started laughing as soon as the car exploded in the first scene, and most of the people around me looked at me as if I were sick. I even got popcorn thrown at me. But by the end, everyone else joined me, umthrfkr and epsilon laughing at the movie, Nicolas Cage has awesome lines throughout this movie I'll let others quote. Better than fuckin Snakes.

wow this fuckin movie was awesome as fuck. it was well worth it to see it. first off let me say i have never seen the original work and im sure this remake does not touch it in any way, well as for a horror/suspence anyways. it does rape it in the random comedy department though.

yes much like everyone else who went to go see it, i was expecting a horror/suspence. i even wanted to see crank instead of this just based off of the previews. in the very beginning it started out semi seriously. but when the car got hit by the truck and ramza started laughing. omg i knew this movie was gonna be too good. even i found some humor in that. just based on the fact that, that shit was random. if you havnt figured out this movie was real fucking random. then the randomness started picking up when he got to the island. also most of his expressions and quotes are what make this shit pricelessy funny. like when he is in the school and he's questioning the girls he opens the missing girls desk and a crow flies out and his expression is priceless. also the fact the just walks in and randomly erases what on the chalk board to write the girls name. OMFG too random.

most of the movie makes no sence at all. and the funnier parts happen near the end. like for instance. nic cage at one point pulls his gun on a bitch for her bike. that whole scene was comedic gold. and yes nic cage is in a bear suit. IMHO, it is by far the funniest part of the movie. first he walks out of the woods in the thing. then he walks up to a bitch and knocks her the fuck out. u have to see it to believe it. omfg.

one of my favorite quotes is at the end when they capture him
"killing me wont bring back your fucking honey"

you have to seriously see this movie to laugh your ass off. its funnier than any comedy out now and prolly the rest of the year. by the time the movie had ended we had most of the theater laughing at that shit too.

i give this film two thumbs just cause it came from nowhere randomly.

our group was actually split on this. the people that weren't laughing the whole way through believe the film takes itself seriously, but it just so bad it became funny. I viewed it like it was a "Snakes on a Plane" type of film. And random. This movie is incredibly random. Thoughtless, mind boggling, "wtf how'd they even think this" type of random.

in all seriousness, this movie sucked in the conventional sense. horrible pacing, laughable plot, a stuttering/stammering Willow Woodward who i wanted to smack, etc...

if you view this movies in the conventional sense, you will be sorely disappointed. if you go into the movie like the above posters, you might get some sort of weird satisfaction out of it.

thats the thing, we didnt go into this film expecting it to be random or silly. you just kind of realize it after a while. if you cant laugh at this movie then there is something wrong with u.

Sadly, I saw it today, and expected it to be so bad it's funny in a Congo sort of way.

What I got was one of the most boring movies I have ever seen. There are a couple of sort of funny parts, but for the most part it's just Nicolas Cage walking around, talking to people, with the occasional hallucination thrown in, which turns out to have nothing to do with the plot.

The only part I truely laughed at was the dedication at the end.

Anyway, in summation, this movie is to lonely balding nerds with no social skills is as Rosemary's baby is to pregnant chicks. Except, this movie sucks.
