OK, Who's "Wrong" For This?

About 3 weeks ago, I started college and out of nowhere, my dad bought me a car (94 Cavalier) so i can travel to college and whatnot. I tell my friend the news an they don't believe me, stating that i if have a car, i should drive out to his house (which is like an hour an a 1/2 away). On that same week however, me and my friends (i'll call them bob and george) were planning to go to the zoo on that weekend. From the beginning i didn't like the idea of somem guys that are 18+ going to the zoo, i felt personally, that i grew out of the zoo a long time ago. I wasn't expecting to get a car that week and there were things that needed work on the car (mainly an oil change an a fan belt replacement). I also had an essay due, so i told them i couldn't go because i had to get my car situation handled and my essay taken care of. So they get mad an don't talk to me for a week. The weekend afterwards their planning to go downtown (i stay in chicago btw, any good 3S players near me?), but before that plan came up, my other friend asks me to help her with her aunt pack her stuff to move. There was money involved so i couldn't pass that down. So i try to call bob an george to see if they could pick me up at a later time, because i didn't know how long i would be gone, but they acted like they didn't want to hear me out. So while i'm helping my friend out Bob comes to my house while i'm not there an my mom answers the door, and this is how the conversation goes

Bob: Hi is Tom home?
Mom: No, you don't see his car here do you?
Bob: Oh..He has a car?
Mom: Yes he does.
Bob: Well, i don't think Someone Like Him doesn't deserve to have a car.
Mom: Well why not?
Bob: Because he doesn't have a job
Mom: He goes to school, why aren't you going to school right now
Bob: I choose not to right now

So while i'm out, i get a message from him calling me a dickhead. so i'm left wondering why, so wen i get home my mom tells me what happened when he stopped by. so i left him a message stating he's no type of friend if he has to leave messages like that, if he didn't believe i have a car now, i bet he believe's me now.

He left that message after he left my hosue, so it came off as him being jealous that I have a car (even tho he has one too, he's the only one out of my friends besides myself now that has one). We've been friends practically all of our lives, so breaking up a frienship over some shit like this would've been a waste of years, so i try to call them to try to talk things over. I wanted to apologize for saying what i said, but he simply said, "Don't call, Don't I/M me, we'll settle this in person!" and hangs up.

That reminds me, when the first of my friends got a car we took on a road trip. When we stopped for gas in the next state, a friend we call "the weakest link" (you can guess why...) dropped to take a pee, so we took off and left him there with no cash. Took him 2 days to get back home. :rofl: :rofl:
