Just as the name implies here's a thread to talk about your day ( or night) at work. the good, bad, ugly, if you want to get it off your chest or just plain brag about something good that happened, here's your thread. That being said, I'll start it with mine.............

today wasn't the worst of all days, but DAMN!!!! homecoming games are murder on people working in the fast food areas. I presently work in a local McDonalds, so I ended up getting a workout today. the high point was watching one of the customers bust her ass in the floor and getting to wear the big mac she just ordered. :lmao: Owned indeed. tomorrow shouldn't be as bad. No games in the area. Your turn.

I didn't have to cover for anybody's drunk ass today, so i just hung out at my base store getting some extra shit done. Gave the swing assistant a nice towel snap on the backleg when he tried busting me for missing a spot in the cooler when I had shit looking good.

mine was ok since I didnt have one return complaint. We can't return anything without a reciept. And we've had this policy since like last weekdays of last year. Plus I didnt have to worry about running the lunch schedule. Not once did I have to worry about callin for back-up, since on weekends we keep only one person on register...MUAH! And I'm also customer service so yeah lol. I got to keep 2 ppl on register and they took more guests than me. Plus it nice to be wanted, cause the 2 cashiers usually needed my help lol.
And for the record I work at Toys R Us.

Some uppity white who got hired keeps the playing the illness card (he's a diabetic) which in all fairness is okay. But after several times, and I mean to the point where he did no work, it just got tiring. He comes in on payday, the second we get our checks "my backs hurting, um, can I go home... I'm a diabetic" No one really likes him so we (other co-workers) just talk in spanish now whenever he's around so he'll just walk away

yesterday, im trying to finish up a review on what we think about the candidates that we interviewed for our department, and there are these 2 women that work with me, that just bitch all day long, and one was perticularly bitching x10 when i was trying to write this thing. It was so distracting it was rediculous, this is the first time I have been annoyed at work, i cant believe that she bitches so much...she also breaks down and cries due to "stress".....

other than that the day went awsome...

anyway...

Only complaint I have with my job right now is this BIG fucking brute bitch from Honduras who we have named Shrek. From looks, to movement, to attitude, this bitch is Shrek incarnate. Just last night it was eating some kind of meat and tossing the bones over it's shoulder, I shit you not. I'll try to get a picture so you can see how shockingly similar the faces are.

Just to clarify things I work for a blood bank. I'm the guy who calls people back to make blood donations.

Well on Friday the boss held an hour long meeting about how we weren't doing such a good job to what's expected. Although making appointments is important it's somehow even more important to make calls at all. So it turns out that since we didn't make that many appointments (part of which is because everyone suddenly had car accidents and "emergencies") we now have to change our ways of calling people. And now I'm still getting the same advice to sound "enthused"...Shit, if I sound any more "enthused" when I make a call then I'll sound like I have a baseball bat up my ass. :bluu:

training today at bounce u. it's a jumping castle/party place. i hate kids with a pasion but it's $3 than i made at albertsons.

i work front desk. there are only 2 people who do it, 2 girls. diane has a bf so shes worthless. chi-town has the biggest breats in an 8 mile radius. i've only got to compete with every other male there.

sex in a jumping castle!? i guarantee it.

my next day of training starts in a few hours. i should sleep.

well, don't leave us to play 20 questions..............what's your job?

Speaking of which, mine has gotten MUCH easier now. we FINALLY have enough dependable people working during the daytime hours. I no longer have to be in two or t hree places at once to keep the pace. better still, aa few of the new people are cute and female. They are a very welcome change from the new shift manager who needs to be pushed down the stairs. My opinion is that he needs to learn that being a manager means more than just bossing people around. ah well. at least I'm starting to mix in better with the rest of the group. who knows? maybe I'll even end up liking the place enough to stay.

..............maybe.

I want to strangle the people in the Newsstand.

Hell, I want to strangle the people that don't put things back in general, but Newsstand has settled down now that Children's has stopped being an absolute Hell (for the moment...).

No, seriously, as employees, we should be allowed to strangle people that just don't put the fucking things back, at least after a set number times. It doesn't help that I'm seemingly more homicidal than usual--Simmering Murderer no jutsu!--and that Newsstand seems to have gotten really fucking bad all of sudden.

It also doesn't help that, perhaps ironically, the one of the things that pisses me off the most is when they put the magazine back in the right section, but right next to the fucking place where copies of said magazine go. There are only two things that really pisses me off more (on a regular basis): when assholes leave magazine that I see them reading while they have seen me trying to clean up; when assholes sit down in on the single bench (and there's still at least seven of them) that I'm trying to gather all the clutter on (that they likely contributed to).

...If I see one more fucking King magazine out of place, then it will be too soon (like tomorrow night).

Well....I didn't go to work today. But yesturday:

Im waiting on this girl to come back to work so I can talk to her... :wonder: She is adorable.

Oh yeah about the job....it's not bad. But most of the time they put me behind to ciggarette counter because im just about the only person over 18 on my shift and they have to have someone over there. It's 10 item or less and things are suppose to be fast....but I take my time. Regardless of that, I still manage to ALWAYS get customers with a bunch of special request or ones that always bring me items with missing tags which creates more work for me.

Otherwise, it's not all that bad...for a temp job....lot's of girls and lots of opportunity.

Me - "Wassup girl, you find everything you lookin' for? :lovin: "
Her- "Ewww nigga you work at wal mart."
Me- " "

.....well.....maybe not so much opportunity.

So my day was pretty good. Got to work on time like I do everyday, did my work, had the top performance for my section, everything was pretty decent, feet hurt at the end of the day but all in all it wasn't bad. So I get home, get a call telling me I'm fired because I dont " show enough interest " in my job(I work in a warehouse, real interesting right?). Sigh, people are fags.

I'm at work now. I'm a call center drone for Charter Communications. It's SOOO frustrating to talk to people who don't bother learning how to use their computers. I'm talking about people who have Norton anti-virus and don't even know how to disable it, or they don't even know if it's on their pc! No one even know's the basics of how pc's work with interweb!?!??! Like, if their pc doesn't boot, they call me! WTF!?!?

Wow, you work for Charter? Seriously? I hate you fucks. I worked for CSG, we handled all your fucking mail inserts and you guys are the biggest pain in the asses ever. You made my job very annoying, I actually had a bitch of a time today because of you guys, then I got fired. =p

@irioku: damn. that sounds pretty shady, not to mention completely messed up. dropping someone because they don't show enough interest at work is BS. if you're pulling even average performance in your job that by itself is a clear sign that you care. if you're the top performer and they fire you on something like that, I'd start looking around to see what's really going on. my bosses don't even know I exist, but they damn sure know better than to toss me. It ain't much of a job, but I do it well. I'd look for something else if I were you. sounds like the boss is an ass. from the looks of it, I'd say that digital booty agrees.

..............Seriously. digital booty should be voted in for best new logon of the year.

Ithink Snoop Dogg said it best: If a nigga can't swim, he's bound to drizz-oun! That's what happened to this guy at work. poor buzzard screwed himself over a few days ago when he thought that he was too good to do his job. You know the kind, doesn't want to do the tough stuff and tries playing the "not my job" role. Too bad chump. he just got reminded that he too has the same thing to do that the rest of us do. worse, he just found out that he ain't got the stuff to handle it. Maybe now he'll get his ass in gear. if not, maybe he'll get his out of the place.
