I wanted to thank everyone for giving me props on my Marvel game yesterday. Thanks to Vanny, I started playing this game again after a few months off, and I guess my practice is starting to pay off.

I wanted to give big props to both Howard and Parerick for taking their Marvel game way up since the last time I watched them play a few months back.

Good to see Gerjay. Get a hair cut.

Alpha 3 was once again the most fun tourney to play IMO. Hopefully the people that were chilling and watching us play will pick it up and learn the engine. It's a fantastic game that has a level of field of play right now that everyone can break in and make an impact in tournaments.

Concerning CvS2's cancellation. If the regular players don't show up, there's nothing that can be done with it. We only had 3 teams yesterday but when you break it down we were missing Eric, Ian, Tylor, Gordon, and Cyrus. Not to mention we could have had Bryan and Matt join up with Roger. When you start adding up all the missing pieces, that's the difference between a healthy tourney and none at all.

I am not organizing a November tournament. I think the break would be good for everyone leading into Christmas Countdown. If anyone wants to step up then they're welcome to do so but I'll be passing. I am however looking to book an Unlimited Night on Saturday November 25th.

I forgot to mention, props to K2 for learning Guy (a very difficult learning curve on that character) as well as he did with only a month worth of work. You should ask Eric, Jay, Tommy or Roger for help. They all have strong insight into Alpha 3 and will be able to help your game along.

k2, just learn your spacing and priority; knowing the basics vs certain characters would help your game as well. You've already got a hand on the combos into supers and whatnot.

that combo only works on May, this is another reason why Jam has adv over her
and it works everywhere as long as you end with a 2d, the farther u finish with 2d the easier her IAD>JS will connect. Not to mention Flash from the USA does not know this =.=

also some tricks after 2d on character specific

Chipp: combo>far 2d>IAD>jp>jhs>combo (say goodbye to eric and x-sap)
Testament: close 2d>jp>combo (not useful, but kool)
Faust: close>2d>jk>jd>combo or wall>2d>IAD>js>combo (both are extremly kool and powerful, as long as u can IAD), and i donno if this work on slash anymore, #R combo for Fa. Wall>2d>IAD>js>charged236k>rc>whiff 214k(for landing)>aircombo=60%+
