Yeah I think that's too gay. If someone figures out a way around that then the zune will FLORISH.

Outside of that, the bigger screen that can be turned to the side for a wider view beats out the ipod. Oh and I like the colors better.

we just got one in at the dell kiosk in the mall and it's actually hella badass. It's the same size as an ipod that has a plastic case on it and the screen is retarded big compared to an ipod video. I could care less about that shitty wireless sharing but it does have an FM tuner on it which is nice. The brown one is hella sexy. I think you guys need to see the screen, if you have a dell direct store around you go check them out since I think every kiosk got one.

Or Target, Best Buy, etc... any place where you can demo mp3 player should have it out on the floor. As far as looks and GUI goes it's pretty darn good and more user friendly imo than the iPod.

But it only being 30 gbs is the dumbest shit ever. Microsoft always finds a way to muck something up.

i liked what i saw from the zune, what i didnt like was the unfunctional wifi, the drm issues with play for sure and itunes. these problems can all be fixed when hacked or if m-soft gets off its duff and really makes an ipod rival.

Aight, i just bought a zune from bestbuy * black model *.

When compared to the Ipod, i saw this also had the wifi sharing thing, why its bashed on i dont know. its a extra feature, the ipod doesnt have it, if its a extra feature, that costs nothing extra, dont bitch about it. The screen is hella badass and the mods will surely be awesome when you'll be able to play whatever video format, or when someone makes a free - insert media format here to work with Zune -
Its 30 gig, just like ipod.
Screen is bigger and more vibrant in color and picture.
Basically, it can do everything the ipod can do and more, just not as many accessorys at this point, but who , seriously, buys that shit anyway? I need a pair of headphones, a usb cable to charge it on my pc and to transfer data, and im cool. what else do you seriously need? A tote bag? a sound system for it * which you should already own, or at least speakers on your pc * i mean, cmon, its not something super vital, its just something extra for all the suckers out there.

But whatever, opinions? thoughts on the zune, so far, it seems like a worthy purchase, but if anyone has any real reasons why ipod is superior, id like to know. thx ^_^

I think that it looks cool and what I've read so far sounds pretty cool, but I haven't been able to mess around with one yet. I figured that I would get plenty of opportunities while doing some Christmas shopping, but at both my local Best Buy and Wal-Mart, the demo Zune they had on display wouldn't even turn on. I don't know if it was juiced or if people had already screwed with them enough to break it, but it sucks that I didn't get to even look through the menu set-up.

At the gamestop i work at we sold a few zunes since it came out a month or 2 ago
n it's basically an ipod with a bigger screen n song sharing isn't a big deal but it's nice to have the option i would cop 1 right now but i already got the 60gig ipod video n i'm happy with it

creative zen vision w is godly compared to zune and ipod video. its a bit bigger but u get way more. for a few bucks more u can get a bigger screen. better options. better compatibility, more formats of movies instead of just one kind. tv out option if u wanna watch your dl'd movies on your tv, flash drive slots for pictures from cameras. radio, organizer, voice recorder. the list goes on and on. its def worth it for a few bucks more. it fits in your pocket. and its godly.
