you were probably joking but van damme still makes movies, they of course are low budget movies.

actually over the last couple of years Ive watched alot of low budget movies, sometimes they are actually good.

Especially when it comes to horror, action movies are alittle bit harder to pull off.

some of van dammes B movies are actually pretty decent.

Sounds great. I guess there's hope for a continuation of the game series.

It'd be cool if it was a blend of comedy and action. I don't mind the movie focusing on Chun Li... whatever the movie could do, an anime could do better and stay more true to the characters, anyway. There just better be a proper set of legs on that cute face.

Kelly Hu from the Scorpion King, she played the Rock's woman and in X-Men 2 she played Lady Deathstrike. (If I wasn't at work right now I'd narrow down the pics, sorry... but there's pages and pages of goodness...)

Glad one of my favorite video game characters gets her own movie even though I'm not a fan of live action video game movies from Hollywood since they tend to suck(Silent Hill was REALLY good though). So I hope for best and with any luck made up crap like Chun-Li being a reporter will not be in the flick...

of course it won't be.. i vote kelly hu for chun. She's a pretty rough and tough girl from her interveiws i think she can capture the character pretty easily.

Honestly I would be happier if they focused on making the fighting tighter than the first sf movie than about squeezing in every character from super turbo just as cameos. *i.e. Dj dhalsim zangief balrog, honda etc from the first movie.

and for the love of god lets have them do some actual moves from the games cg has come along since 94 when that last one came out give chun at least a kiko-shou

and it's really no reason to do a movie about chunli they can totally tell a few different story arcs at a time and have a good movie but i guess that's up to the writers.

For the part of Ryu I've always like Tak Sakaguchi of the Japanese movie Versus. He's soft spoken and is a real street fighter in real life, some parts of the movie Versus he's moving so fast that you think it's tricky camera work but it isn't. He would have to bulk up a bit, but if Tobey McGuire could bulk up for Spidey maybe it wouldn't be so hard. Some pics, it might not seem like Ryu but he really sounds like a live action Ryu would sound, to me anyway -
