So I was reading the "broken comic characters" thread and naturally, I think Xman since he's so ridiculously broken. And naturally, the next subject is Cable.
The major difference between Xman and Cable is the arm. If you are stupid, you don't know that Cable's arm is caused by him using his powers to force all the techno-organic virus into one area of his body to keep it from killing him, which is what holds his powers back enough to not make him just rip all his enemies in half with a thought.
So I was thinking....why doesn't Cable just cut his frickin arm off? I mean, I'd be on the fence as to whether I would cut off my arm in order to become godly-powerful...but I also don't have Strife, Mr Sinister, Evil Beast, etc, etc, constantly trying to kill me.
Did they ever address this in the comics?
