"Vha ha... vell my good vomen, I've had an adventure completely unvike any other I've had. I formed an alliance with a sailor and a turtle, for one. My core beliefs have not changed, and I still consider men to be miseravle piles of secrets. Vut enough talk about me."

"Indeed, enough talk at all. The monks who practice the Hamedo engage in fighting each other as a regular affair, as common a task to them as childrearing is for most women. Their brand of fisticuffs they call sparring. My good Count, you are no doubt an enduring magus. But, have you ever faced dragon-based sorcery before?"

"Only Bone Dragons. But they're mostly very stupid creatures."

"Then, perhaps with the fate all of existence in the balance, let's have a light hearted contest.

I'm sure you want to go home as much as any of us." Reis bowed, almost giving a courtsy. The gesture was no greeting; she just as soon opened her mouth and exhaled a violent gust of sub-zero wind. The count shapeshifted into the form of a bat and glid over the spell. Just as quickly, a baseball pegged Reis, knocking her out for a moment. Before Dracula could claim an effortless victory, he in his bat form was also struck by a home run hit.

"Shoma!" The baseball pitcher called out to the batter responsible. "Can you try not hitting

anyone this time?"

"I can't help it if my bat has a grudge against weird-looking adults," the bandaged batter spat.

Did anyone else notice that in yesterdays battle poll no one broke any stocks despite the close matches? Is the stock system gone or did the losers just forget that they could? I think everyone has a full 5 stocks from the previous rounds, meaning anyone could have won those matches. What gives?

"Hey!" the merc spat. "These parts have room for only one clown."

"And you can have it!" boasted Dan. "You're just another fool ignorant of the true strength of Saikyo-Ryu! Didn't you see how I disposed of that Terra witch?"

"Bah."

The merc looked around. He noticed a freckled, ponytailed girl snapping pictures of the combatants and chatting with other students.

"This is quite strange, no? I mean, I thought that Hyo character and his followers were weird, but these visitors are off the scale!"

Deadpool's knowledge of the fourth wall then came into play.

"Yo! Ran! Ran Hibiki?"

The girl looked at him wide-eyed, obviously surprised that a stranger instantly knew her name.

"Is it okay with you, if I beat your uncle within an inch of his life?"


The campus journalist immediately took offense. "What? EW! HE's NOT MY UNCLE!"

Deadpool chuckled as he drew one of his katana. Dan was not amused.
"Hmph. Prepare yourself. Saikyo!"

"HELLLOOOO NURSE!" Dr. Hal Emmerich (or better known by his nickname "Otacon") met the Justice High nurse Kyoko via IM, and as such, was furiously typing away on his laptop. He was nestled at the far end of an unoccupied bench.

"Excuse me Mr. Otacon?" A hand reached out and tapped the hacker's shoulder.

"Whoa!" said Otacon. He turned his head with the heartfelt intention of scolding the person. Instead, he paused, and his face brightened."

"Miss White!" said the hacker enthusiastically.

"I do believe we have a match," said Cammy. "I'm sorry for taking out your teammate." She was trying her best to be patient and sober. Apparently, after besting the legendary Hungry Wolf, she was assigned to face an oddball yet again.

"Ah, yes, rather unfortunate. I, too had to best a close friend to get this far."

Otacon paused. "Um, if I may ask something, Miss White. This question's been bugging me for the longest time. Have you ever met Stefan, and what do you have to say about him and his site?"


"...Stefan? Who the hell is Stefan?" said Cammy as she raised her eyebrows.

"Oh," muttered Otacon.

"My turn to ask a question, Mr. Otacon," said Cammy as she brushed her pigtails aside. "What's that pile of tissue beside you then?"

"I've hay fever!"

"And that bottle of lotion?"

"I've sensitive skin, I chafe and sunburn easily!"

"And...uh...Why's your Firefox homepage set to 4chan's /d/ section?"

"I...I...shit! Looks like you got me."

Cammy pouted for a split-second, then continued. "Oh well." She went to the other end of the bench and sat down. "I'm just here. Just say when you're ready, so we can get this over with."

"Y-yes, missy," said Otacon as he turned a little scarlet. He shut his laptop. He had totally forgotten his convos.

The girl with odd curled hair, Dorothy-worthy red slippers, and a violin gave a puppy-dog look. "These people, I sense that they are strong."


Kurow, the boy with equally bizarre hair and long claws, pocketed his flute. He gave his older sister a reassured look.

"Don't worry, Yurika. I've the big backup right here."

In the shadows red eyes gleamed, and soft growls were heard. Kurow had managed to enslave Gedo High head Daigo Kazama and Justice High bigwig Hyo to do his bidding (now known as Wild Daigo and Demon Hyo respectively).

From the rooftop, the Kirishima siblings observed the strange visitors that appeared on the grounds.

"Would this interest you any, whore of the Zerg?" snapped Vile. He fired up his jet pack and sped across the field by the Justice High gate. He aimed his bazooka and fired at several the queen's minions, killing them instantly.

"RWAAAAAAA!" screamed a few Zerglings and Hydras as they were reduced to skin and blood.


Kerrigan was a little surprised, but her speech remained sedate.

"Holy shit. That's a Siege Tank on crack if I ever saw one! But, I do have my means of resistance."

She pat her pet Defiler on the head. In a split-second, she and her remaining backup were clouded by a buzz of red insects. Dark Swarm.

"I don't know what the robotic equivalent of balls is, creature. But you seem to have them. Now, face the full fury of the Queen of Blades!"

"Heh. My current record speaks for itself," said Vile, gesturing to the mask and sunglasses adorning his transport. "But today, I shall let my arsenal do the talking."

So far their battle wasn't really much of anything. Cammy would attack without mercy, while the panicking Otacon would leap for cover and try to escape. He was already heavily bruised and blood was dripping from his now split lip. "I can't keep going like this," he panted, wiping his mouth, "I have to stop running." He remembered his fallen teammates. First Morpheus and then Terry, how was it that he made it so far but the far more realistic winners were already down. He even someone managed to defeat his own comrade, Snake. But now he was the only one left and now he had to fight for what he believed in. He remembered what he had learned what Terry fight...

"Where are you, you slimy nerd?!" Cammy called out, she was getting aggravated with his evasiveness. "Come out and fight me like a man!"

Just as the words left her lips, Otacon leapt from behind a set of bushes with a crazed look in his eye and his laptop hefted over his head.

"ARE YOU OK!?" He shouted.

Cammy turned in surprise to Otacon's sudden appearance and his shouting, but could only mutter, "Oh, Shi--..." Before the corner of the laptop nailed her in the eye. (BLUNT BLOW) Otacon raced towards her as he had no time to waste, his laptop seemed to hover in mid-air for a moment while Cammy stood stunned. Little did she realize that moments before Otacon had set his laptop to download a ridiculous amount of pornography, to the point where the Sony-made Battery in his laptop began to overheat. Otacon pulled his fist back and felt the power of the Lonely Wolf flow through him, "BUSTA WOOOLF!!!" He screamed as he punched the battery cover of the laptop, giving it a shock that sent it over the edge. The laptop exploded with a tremendous fury right in Cammy's face. The force of the explosion sent Cammy flying like a ragdoll into the distance, giving Otacon a slight reprieve in her attacks...Though he knew it wasn't going to last long.

Dracula - I give up. I've been a lazy bastard, and I feel especially a bad about that increasing after I became a judge, obligations to my job and school notwithstanding. It's been nice to work on my writing skills, even if they still suck harder than Dracula sucks blood. (Or is he above that?) Speaking of writing, quiche's has been one of the best, and I yet again don't have time to what I want (except for what I "want", which is what I barely feel like doing and need to do).

Just don't have Dracula turn Reis into a vampire or anything, and I won't have a problem with forfeiting.

Bezidez, zeriouzly, it'z Halloveen.

It's been fun everyone because even with all the hassle and such, I think this is farthest I've ever gotten. (I could have been more fun as I'm sure anyone could attest, but that's an issue to worked out after this year is finally over. I just hope that I can help a bit with the end of things.)


Deadpool - I'm surprised to see Dan get this far. Nothing against Dan at all, since he's "The Man" (or so "they" say), but Deadpool's funnier.


Cammy - I'm also surprised that Otacon made it this far, but then maybe that's because I don't know much about his abilities. Since I still don't know about his abilities....


Vile - I thought Kerrigan was dead? And Vile doesn't really have a mind to fuck up and I've already forgotten whether the Zerg Queen of Blades (what does that even mean?) has TK or not. (I don't recall ever knowing its strength if she did.)

Otacon is a genius and a master of all things relating to technology. He designed the Metal Gear Rex, but was horrified with it's power. He is capable of hacking into generally any kind of network, since he views the Pentagon's computer security to be a child's toy in that he's able to breeze right past it. So even if he is physically outmatched by Cammy, his intelligence far exceeds her's and thus he can come up with a way out of his current predicaments.

[The Damned]

^ I know he's smarter than her, but I wouldn't say that he "far exceeds" her intelligence, especially if this is pseudo-robotic Shadaloo Cammy that we're talking about.

I'm sure that he could hack the Psycho Drive, if he were in the same dimension as it, but I don't think that can really outthink (fast enough, at least) Hyper Shadaloo Killer Bee Cammy from the Marvel series before she "Locks On!" and smashes his head into pieces with her exaggerated strength.

Bison has been defeated, she thought. She wanted so desperately to fight her former superior, her “father”. While a part of her was glad that the sailor sent the dictator to a crashing defeat, another part of her felt hopeless and uncertain. Now, it seemed

Shadaloo activity hasn't ceased yet; my job here is not done.

She cast a wistful look into the air. Should I emerge victorious, I'll definitely use the Cronos Slab to unearth the truth. Years of searching and I only know a few facts. I wonder how my other companions are doing?

“Ow! Be careful, will ya?” squeaked Edward. He was still smarting from his defeat at the hands of the German giant, and his automail limbs were still worse for the wear.

“Maybe if you stopped moving, reattaching these new automail wouldn't be so hard!” snapped Winry. She adjusted her top, and wiped her sweat with a small towel.Just what is it with this shrimp? she thought. He's nothing but mom and stones all the damned time. What do I have to do to get his attention?”

“Brother,” echoed a voice. It emanated from the helmet of Alphose. His armor body was reduced to scrap in a fierce battle. He was extremely lucky that his blood seal was spared. “It looks like our quest will have to wait a while.”

“Most unfortunate indeed,” said Armstrong. He sifted his hand through the bits and pieces of Al. “This will not be easy to put back together, even with transmutation.”

“Perhaps this outcome will teach you to about permission, Full Metal,” said Roy Mustang. “The next time...”

“Aw, put a sock in it, Mustang!” shouted the older, ever-temperamental Elric. Winry, surprised that the portion she was working on was agitated again, frowned and made a funny face at Ed.

“That's Colonel Mustang to you, boy.” Mustang lazily rubbed his fingers. A few tongues of flame danced above his right thumb.

Then, an uninvited guest barged into the Rockbell house.


“Hah-HAH!” Standing just past the door appeared an odd, yellow skinned kid. He had messy brown hair and was clad in shabby pink and blue clothes.

Nelson had some how found his way to the world of Amestris.

“What? What is this urchin doing here?” demanded the colonel.

As soon as those words left his mouth, the figured melted and reformed. This time, it assumed the form of a thin effeminate man in black clothes.

“A pleasant day to you, Colonel, Major. Ah yes, you too, Full Metal.” From behind the man, a top heavy woman appeared. She had wavy hair, long black nails, and an unmistakable pentagram tattoo near her chest. The Ouroboros.

“Envy, Lust,” said Ed.

“Don't worry, Full Metal. We are not here to cause trouble. We merely heard of the news, and arrived here to...savor the moment,” said Lust.”But rest assured we will be hot on your trail soon. For the meantime-” she paused as she glanced at Armstrong and Al- “The two of you had better get yourselves together.”

Both Homonculi then laughed heartily.

We might have not been victorious this year, but next year...ah, that will be a different story. The Orochi will soon reign once more.”


“Yo, Shermie!” called Yashiro. “This new piece seems to be keyboard heavy. How 'bout some tunes?”

A small crowd of students gathered to witness the Deadpool and Dan fight. Well, perhaps not a physical fight, but a competition by other means. The duo had spent the first twenty minutes in a debate about Marvel tiers (“What you do mean, low tier?” said Dan after Deadpool laughed about the formers ineptitude in most fighters), and now they were in a heated series of RPS matches.

”I win,” said Deadpool as keeping the middle and index fingers of his right hand extended.

“Dang, paper again!” muttered Dan right after miming his Gadoken motion.

A black and blue flash briefly appeared behind the two competitors, but neither they nor the crowd had noticed it. The two would only notice the loss of their money at the end of the day.

Yuffie Kisaragi happily sat on a high branch of a school ground tree. She examined the loot she had acquired from the the two clowns.

Cammy panted. She was wounded and tired. Somehow, her geek opponent had managed to bring back his teammates for a last dance. Bad timing for her part, too, as she had to fight two opponents at once (Otacon, having freed himself from the burden of hand-on, settled for downloading torrents and browsing /d/ once again). Natsu and Shermie were both tired from the previous fight, and begged off to briefly go home.

“You seem jaded,” said the bald negro with shades. “You could always choose (he then reached into his trenchcoat)...the red pill to end your misery.”

Terry simply taunted. “Awoooo!”

It appeared that all was lost for Cammy. But then, an unmistakable valley girl voice trumpeted.

“Wonderful, beautiful, exciting!”

It was Pacific High cheerleader Tiffany. Tailing behind her was Justice High nurse Kyoko.

Tiffany was all sunshine once she saw Otacon. “Oooh, a whitey!” I missed the likes of you! (^_^) I feared I'd become slitty-eyed if I stayed here too long!” Tiffany then smothered Otacon with her immense cleavage. The latter, while finding such an intrusion absurd, did not seem to resist.

“Mmmmmmmmmph.” His teammates looked on curiously.

“Excuse me, miss White,” said Kyoko as she produced a small first-aid kit from her lab coat. “But I do believe you need a little medical attention. Just lie down still; this will be over in a jiffy.”

Dracula and Vile won their match ups, obviously. Cammy outvoted, and outskilled Otacon (I really hate having to see him go; aragami's interpretation of the character was most interesting.)

Now, for the main attraction: Deadpool vs Dan...

I'm a human being. I have the weaknesses of the human, and the limits of a human. When called upon to become cold sentries who adhere only to the rigid laws of mathematics, humans eventually faulter, humans grow tired, and humans feel. Human beings have emotions which defy the arithmetic of logic; nay, they can overcome the most exact of measurements, because the physical world and the spiritual emotionality of man (or highly intelligent sentient beings) have always contradicted each other.

I'm going somewhere with this. I had a smoke and got to thinking.

It's important to decide where I'm going by looking at where I began. My SRK Battle Poll career began with the first (or maybe the second) tournament. My first match was against Galactic's Hotsuma. Since Shinobi was a popular game at the time, he was the overwhelming favorite to win. I ignored that and picked a character I was fascinated with who also appeared in a video game: R. Dorothy Wayneright, of Big-O fame (who appeared in Super Robot Wars D on the GBA). My Dorothy, despite my best efforts, lost. In fact, I lost badly. It was a crushing blow which would resonate in me for years to follow.

When signing onto this project, my objective was to reward players who gave the most effort, regardless of what character they picked. That was my modus operandi from day one. You could say that I'm slightly Randian; I believe hard work and effort should be rewarded in spite of all other factors.

What I believe and what I practice in my own personal life should be different. Yet, when I am in the role of judge, I am conflicted. Should I stick to the very rules I (very vaguely in hindsight) set forth? Or, should I practice my beliefs?

That was when I realized that, most disturbingly, I do not fulfill the role of judge. I fulfill the role of dictator. What an unfortunate state of affairs. However, dictators are not limited by the code and honor of judges; no, they raze the field in front of them and forge their own paths.

In the end, I will stand by my beliefs, and not my law. I will do what I want to do, instead of what I believe I should do. I thought I was a man of justice, but in the end, I was really a madman inspired by dreams of heroes.

I will award Shiki his five stocks.

However, I'm also counting Difoj and Tantin's votes. The thread was posted a couple hours later, so it only seems right to end it a couple hours later.

Deadpool and Dan are tied at 13 points a piece. Neither Nemesis or Shiki are in the Top 8. I would personally like for this to be settled with a dance fight, but we will instead go into Sudden Death. I do not remember what Sudden Death was (Lantis made a mention of it once, but not in the Draft Thread), but I was told that it was a "first person to get x amount of votes wins" type of deal.

So we will do that. Tomorrow morning, we will have Deadpool and Dan one more time; the first to get five raw votes wins. Immediately after that is done, the Quarters will begin proper.
