GG to DaddyLongLocksTo give credit where it was due he owned me pretty hard.I encountered one problem.

I could not escape his combo's even though I knew they were coming and there was little I could do about it.I had Ken and he had Ryu.Anyway...

I was trying my best to stay out of the corner, but most of the time he would corner me anyway. If I try to jump over him he shoryuken's me,or Hurricane kick's in mid-air.When he get's me into the corner he keeps reloading this same predictable combo that I couldn't stop.It was something like:Hard kick(To knock me deep in the corner)Forward+Medium Punch(Ryu punches downwards twice,it is a medium move, but it looks like a move that you would block low)and either a shoryuken or another hard kick to push me back in the corner and start all of it over.If I am lucky he ends it quickly by giving me a Shinkuu-Hadouken to finish me off in the corner.

When I could manage to stay in the middle he would throw a barrage of Hadouken's,and meter build, then cancel a Hadouken into the Shinkuu-Hadouken,and hurt me for massive damage.I can parry the first hadouken, but the game doesn't allow me to parry the Shinkuu-Hadouken that is trailing shortly behind it.

I could just jump over the Hadouken's,but then he'd either run up on me or cancel a hadouken into a Shinkuu-Hadouken while I am in mid-air

Compound the fact that we were playing 3 round games.

What can I do to get avoid this?

That actually really isn't a combo. Its more of a lockdown. What you have to remember is priority. If someone is being predictable, stop trying to get away from their stuff but instead use their attacks against them. If he wants to Forward+Medium punch you, simply jab him out of it or crouch FP with Ken to stop it completely.

I bet what was happening was that you weren't poking and were just trying to jump out or hurricane out of it. Instead what you should be doing is crouching strong or lp,lk combinations to get him away. If you do not have an opening, then its time to be patient and block till he does a hard kick then hit him when he is recovering.

SA3 Ken should not be intimidated against Ryu. If you have full meter you can pretty much stop most of his attacks with reactive supers. He does a hard kick and you block? SA3 when he is recovering.

You also have to master parrying. Ryu's Shoryuken, while strong, is very easy to stop. He SHOULD NOT feel safe doing a Shoryuken against you since all you have to do is parry one hit and wait for him to come down and beat him with a combo. Something like, air parry, land, mp,hp, sa3 will make him REALLY rethink that strategy.

If he has meter you simply have to jump and EX Tatsu so that you land behind him and hit him on the way down. Don't be foolish and jump so far away that he can hit you safely with a hadouken. You should be setup so that his hadoken will miss you.

Learn Ken's footsies. If you have meter remember that your crouch mk is more deadly than his for the simple fact that you can follow it up with a sa3 and all he can probably do is hit you with an ex hadou.... although that will knock you down and put you right where he wants you. Keep in mind that your SA3 with ken also knocks down and you can follow it up with some nasty mixup games.

In other words, play smart not just aggressive. Ryu eats up overly aggresive Ken players and can outzone them. The power of Ken comes from the MANY options to land a super. Learn those options and be patient. If he wants to build meter and run away, build meter right there with him.

Ryu's command overhead (:r: + :mp:) has to be blocked high.

It sounds as though your opponent was playing an unsafe game. When you find yourself in the corner, keep blocking (but watch for throws). He will do something risky. You can block this, throw him into the corner and make good your escape.

Same thing for the fireball barrage. Don't be afraid to parry the regular fireballs. Just bear in mind that your opponent is counting on you to try (and fail). Don't try to parry them all. Jump a few, block a few and keep closing ground. If you anticipate a fireball, use your own EX Hadoken. It will blitz through his fireball and make him hurt. When you get into jump-in range, don't jump in! He's waiting to Shoryuken.

Quick and easy.

For the long term, you're gonna need SuperSamyon's advice, above

Don't parry shinkuu hadokens. Just block them. No need to be flashy. Especially on Xbox Live where you'll probably mess up half way any ways.
