Why the fuck is Arcade like near impossible for me to beat on Easiest difficulty... this is insane, it never used to be this hard. I'm on like my 20th fight but still only on the third character, this is fucking ridiculous...

I must admit, I think SF2 is pretty tough against the AI, too... and I remember being able to give it a run for it's money back on SNES, so they definitely did something... Something meaning made the computer cheap as fuck. They don't even beat you fairly, they just react in inhuman ways, like punishing you off a whiffed jab, walk forward and suddenly anti-air you with flash kick, etc. etc.

Supposedly the AI was based on some great player or something. But it's so broke you can just gimmick your way to victory.

Same here. The easiest skill level on AE is harder than level 8 on CE. I can't beat the first guy on this thing

Each character loses to a certain method. For example, if you get close to Guile with Ken or Ryu and do a small dp or hurricane just out of reach, Guile will whiff a flash kick every time meaning you could actually perfect him on any difficulty as long as you avoid some booms.

I'm glad I'm not the only one with this problem... what a relief. Does anyone have a spare 2-Month Trial Card for XBOX Live so I can start playing this baby online, since Arcade mode is near impossible and I don't really have anyone to play VS against...

Yeah the gimmicks are key!
I used to hate Dee Jay until I realised Ryu's tatsu owns him for free.

Snap! That fucking machine gun uppercut or whatever it is drove me mad as it took off about 3/4 of your life. Then one day I tatsu'ed his ass. And again. And again and thought 'why didn't I do this first?'

The computer AI is cheap but they all have patterns. Try putting it on the Hardest difficulty and use DJ. You can literally beat Gief with 1 button...standing roundhouse. You can beat Sim and DJ with 1 move too, low roundhouse, just knock them down and keep doing it when they get up, they won't block or hardly if you time it right.

the computer is alright
the computer is only good for keeping your reactions on point......after you have worked out a method for every character you start to get lazy.
i still have not beat akuma though, that bitch
